I know you guys have a billion comments, but I just want to tell you that I think it's really cool that you do these extra behind-the-scenes videos and tutorial videos. Usually I don't care about that stuff, but it's really neat to see how sfx are done. Keep making such entertaining stuff, I hope the y/t partnership is paying good dividends!
You guys are great material for new Mythbusters in the future. I believe that Adam, Jamie and other people in their team started similar to you making special effects using some non professional stuff. Good luck!
@starblinky No this wasn't a making-of it was a "Behind the Scenes", as is stated in the title. And as Freddy and Brandon said in the video (if you listened!!) they will bring out a VFX video some time soon because they were to tired producing the actual video for you and getting it out on time. Good work guys.
I've seen the garden before, don't remember if it was you guys, or someone else, but somebody had a video online one time that toured your entire loft. I can imagine why it's not there anymore lol.
@Eviltenshi1 Unless the car was going really slow, you are correct. You have to have enough force working against the wind to move forward off the car like that, which pushing with your arms wouldn't, you'd see him get pushed back into the car right away in reality.
@anwar13 a DSLR gives you the "filmlook" but it's not goot for fast scenes, like running. Then they use their Camcorder Sony EX 1. You don't got the problems with manualy focus and and. For Example slow scenes they can use the DSLR or if they want to have the shallow.

Like for the one where Freddie's on the hood of the car, it's probably a stationary car with a green screen in front of it (put footage of a car from the back). And since they have that kickass leaf blower, they can simulate person being on a high way :X
Yes, but how do you film Freddy on the hood with wind on his face when there is a greenscreen in front of him? the leavblower would have to be where the greenscreen is! how'd you do it? from above? from below? Did you build the greenscreen in the alleyway or did you get the car inside somehow? Very interested to learn all these things.

you guys should make a video involving freddie as a Firefighter running thru a burning building and such and maybe get the local LAFD station to help you out or something. that would be Bad Ass!

Great Video, brought back memories when my friends and I would use my 8mm camera (no sound) and work all week to make a 5 minute movie for film class.

Suction cups: ALWAYS CLEAN THE AREA on which you place them. It makes a really big (possibly expensive) difference!
