Awesome that you guys were at NAB and had some great advice. I always here about RED and buying some crazy expensive stuff but you guys know what your needs are and don't go too crazy on what you use.
Brandon's interpretation of (some) older people and their opinions of computers is fucking spot-on. 0:47 I had a friend in college who would put print an entire fake paper in what looked like jumbled hexadecimal, then turn it in saying "I don't know. My computer, you know.." and the old guy would totally give him an extra day because "computers never work right"
It depends were you are dude the light will change from one spot to an other. In trade shows or stuff like that I usally use 15 5.6 and iso 1000 but sometimes my pictures are getting a little dark. (my first language isn't english so excuse me if I didn't get you right). what kind of kamera do you use?

That's awesome to hear, I just don't want the video quality to be utter crap and unusable for post-production. But I have noticed weird artefacts in the little raw footage I shot, is that normal and removable? What I mean is lines being jagged and repeating patterns (wire, netting, gauze etc) not looking right.
And actually, the video description does play a part in the event that it is oringally added in. I was planing on adding to the description, but the results are only relative to the state of the video as it's uploaded. So only details I added in when the video was uploading will be included in the results algorithim. The reason why I did not enter a description was because I did not write the script for this, I merely filmed, so I did not have the correct text during the time of upload to add it

I am currently started to do semi-professional videos for our church and was wondering if the Canon XL1 would do the trick? i dont need something new or the best just something to film concerts and hd video. is this a good choice or is their something else that is relatively cheap that you would recomend. 1080p is a higher quality video. The p stands for pixels and that is the number of pixels in the height column of the video for the standard 16x9 video. The main thing is that the higher the number before the p the higher quality the video. For instance if you were to watch in 360p the quality of the video would be a third of the quality because it has one third of the pixels. But when watching a video produced on cameras such as the ones Freddie uses the difference isn't that noticeable.
my question is, what did you think was the best camera at NAB, if too difficult, then what would you say is the most preferred camera displayed at NAB?
That last comment you made about what the best camera out there is what I'm interested in. But more to the point of what would you recommend that is not only affordable, durable, shoots 1080p for the "weekly" youtuber type videos?

Now I´m in search for a cam with a good HD resolution and especialy good sound (maybe external mic) I had problems while zooming with my old cam, and sound in generall wasnt so good. My budget would be a little over 500$. Anything you can recommand?
one of my friends was at NAB showing off the CamBlok system. I wonder if you guys saw that. Its a robotic motion control system. Check it out! Not the cheapest thing in the world, but its really cool.

There haven't been any 1080p cameras over 60fps til now? What about the phantom cameras that Gav uses?
