Yeah, and a plus of that is if there were any delays we wouldn't know
Being able to swap player models on the fly and that those changes have impact in the gameplay is something that I didn't expect at all, I simply though that the "physical stats to match" meant that the body would change its weight according to the size, but nothing drastic. I was blown away.
I've always thought vr games should do more with character models and not humans, looks like bonelab is going right for it.
Yeah I saw someone describe it as Ben 10 and it seems pretty accurate, I didn't even consider that you'd be able to (and need to) switch model during levels, that's so smart

Can't describe in words how excited I am for this. Also changing your player model on the fly seems like a sick as hell mechanic and could make for some great puzzles. Hats off to you SLZ, you did amazing work.

I don't like the skin changing, it's a bit cartoony if you ask me, kinda draws away from the puzzles and makes you cheat.

The most intense-looking VR gameplay. And such a bizarre mechanic. The visuals look massively better than Boneworks and the physics less jank. I am so excited.

The little things like morphing your Avatar to your real world body and the auto sit/stand change are just so good. You can really tell Brandon and his team have such love for their game and they really made it so anyone could have as much fun as possible in Bonelab. Im so excited for this, this will probably change VR forever

This game literally just looks like Boneworks but better and I wouldn't want it any other way, you have absolutely blown my mind about what's not just possible in the VR space but, as a fellow dev, you have pushed the boundaries about what's possible in Unity as a whole. Super excited to get my hands on this, amazing job!

I love the solution you guys came up with to change bodies. The pull chord is so much cooler than using a pop up menu.
It’s actually really clever. SLZ’s whole thing has been making experiences unique to VR, and a part of that is making controls and interfaces that only really work - or are greatly enhanced - because they’re working with VR
It looks like you guys improved the nullbodies some, I like the new look a lot. Nice work, SLZ.

The null body’s are changed due to graphics limitations on the quest 2.

Imagine a 4 player co-op VR game where each player picks a character each with different stats and body type, and the character chosen determines what you can do to solve obstacles on the mission.
Maybe even make it into some heist action a la Sly Cooper

Level design and puzzles in both BoneWorks and BoneLab reminds me so much of Valve's "formula" but in it's own original way / universe! I'm sure it's by design and it's awesome! Really excited to get my hands on this. Looks like Brandon and the team outdone themselves once again and I'm not suprised... Truly passionate and hardworking people!

You know I was expecting a lot of improvements with the new game. I was not expecting this ben 10 watch mechanic that looks like a lot of fun and has me super excited.

@@HeadShoht People who want to not only solve puzzles, but solve them in weird and wacky ways. a lot of puzzles in boneworks you could skip just by being good at moving around. bonelab will provide the same fun alternatives for those who don't want to do puzzles the ''intended'' way.
@@HeadShoht a singleplayer game that has a mix of shooting and puzzle is more fun than one with just shooting in my opinion. It's fun to have to use your brain sometimes and think of solutions to problems. Look at half life alyx for a good example of a VR game with puzzles. Also the first boneworks had them and i enjoyed them. If you've never played those and you don't know what I'm talking about you've probably played or heard of half life 2 which isn't a VR game but it has similar gameplay

As I was watching this i was like “ok it’ll probably be November December release and then I saw Thursday and my jaw dropped

When I heard about bonelab, I expected boneworks with new characters and a new story. This feels less like boneworks and more like the jump from hover Junkers to bone works. I'm in absolute awe. I can't believe it is coming so soon.

Im actually on the verge of tears, I have always dreamed of being able to play boneworks, but I could never afford a PC. And now an even better version of Boneworks is coming to Quest 2! I am so freaking excited! Thank you Brandon and everyone at Stress Level Zero for making a (albeit small) dream of mine come true!

I know, but 4 days, TOO LONG!!! (Not long but feels long) I’m sooo excited, and the fact that boneworks PCVR has not as good graphics as this game bonelab on quest 2 and pc vr mostly has better graphics, this is gonna be amazing.

@@casual2694 yea it'll probably get multiplayer, but the "social platform" idea was a complete wash of an idea. It's a physics heavy puzzle/shooter, whereas most social vr things go about as deep as jumping and climbing when it comes to physics.

The rigging in this game is game changing. Why is only 1 studio putting out good innovative VR titles? Such a lost opportunity for devs trying to make a name for themselves. Don't get me wrong there's some exceptions but even games like HL:A feel like unpolished demos to me. Yes visually great and everything else feels OG vive era about it.

Fucking epic. As a veteran of Boneworks I’m a little skeptical of the body morphing physics puzzles. Save a few potential challenges; I feel like the meta will be the standard/fast and agile body type. Will be really interesting long term to see X body type only speed runs. That’s not to say that body morphing won’t be totally awesome - it’ll probably be great for immersion and role playing.

The meta will be whatever you want it to be. The charm from boneworks where you can solve any puzzle through clever movement over the built solution will for sure remain in bonelab
I really doubt there's gonna be a meta. Closest thing you'd get to that is speedrunning meta, which would 100% be dominated by agile characters for obvious reasons

oh my god, i was watching this in 720p and the textures, lighting, graphics still looked extremely phenomenal, really hope they release an early beta for sandbox just to mess around in, i seriously cannot wait.
