Both of them take turns being the sufferer and the comforter in their relationship. Their lives were dysfunctional, their love wasn't.
I'm watching the episodes again. They actually wasn't together that much. In fact it didn't mainly focus on her relationships in the series which probably made her more powerful as a character
We didn't see a body, so in my mind, he was badly injured but is alive. Maybe he got amnesia and will have to work to get his memory back, who knows? Doesn't matter. He's alive and they end up together and happy
Who ever made this did a crap job. You have to turn the volume up so you can hear them speak and then the music blasts in-between the clips that aren't in order.
