My opinion on the motor... Do the work to Game Over's engine, it's at your house and not across the county. Then you can enjoy the rest of the season with Sidechick's engine. Over the winter, donthe engine swap, sell the hopefully healthy 632 and the Sonny Leonard engine lives on in another Jet Boat.
Only problem with that is he just said the season is already over. For some reason they dont race in the summer. He said it will be many months before racing starts again.

Look into hydro friction. the lengthwise bulges in the hull are there to trap air because air has less friction than water on hull contact. There are ways to induce that also, by making wedges in the hull (many boats have that especially towards the edges where its harder to trap air against the bulges). A lot of home-made hulls (and even professionally made hulls) don't take friction into account because they think smoother hull is faster.
Damn your boat launches HARD. BTW, that looks like loads of fun working on the valve train right after a run with your forearms resting on hot headers. 👍
@@dieterlange7581 Not really..figure 10-15 minutes to shut down, get the boat out of the lake, and trailer it back to the pit. 25:46 So what i think happened was coz the exhaust valve wasn't opening it was pushing the gases from the combustion cycle out of the intake valve when it was opening for the next intake cycle. This meant that there was backpressure trying to close the valve as it was opening and that has led to the failure.
