I find it fascinating to hear you talk about retail space like that. I really do not think that anyone goes clothes shopping to engage with the storytelling whatever that means. There seems to be an abundance of stores these days getting made over to look like someone's living room or bedroom which remove most of the products. All anyone wants in a clothes shop is good lighting and enough product to choose from in a wide variety of true sizes.. I for one do not give a stuff what the place looks like. I think Tiktok is to blame for most of this obsession with IG and selfie friendly aesthetics..
thanks for sharing your POV, that's super interesting to hear !! I think there's a middle ground for certain brands to deliver retail spaces that aren't so conceptual you can't shop but not engaging enough that you would rather not go in and have to spend any time in there haha
