It strikes me that the UK is the reverse of the US. In the UK everything outside the flat looks old, and everything inside the flat is modern. In the US, the world outside looks modern but inside, we love our antiques and distressed cabinetry and floors, etc!

Calling things huge and massive when they are pokey holes is WILD! none of the flats wer me worth what they are asking for. £2600 for a pokey loft is insane.

How much u earn in London and what % of your rental is to your income? If more than 20%, it is not worth. The high cost of living in London with less rewarding job opportunities, no good. Above all, the flats are not modern and there are many old and bad maintained houses, not good at all.

Hey Georgia, I'm a senior industrial & systems engineering student in the process of applying to PhD programs and I really enjoy behavioral centered design and the potential real-world applications of it. Thanks for the video! I learned a good bit but more than anything else everything you mentioned aligned with a topic I'd enjoy researching. Psychological phenomena (like confirmation bias) has a massive impact on decision-making and a good percentage of the time it's completely subconscious in users - how can we a) understand and manipulate those phenomena to better serve users, and b) potentially formulate a predictive model quantifying these phenomena to eliminate some of the unnecessary randomness assumed in task completion? Obviously randomness does exist but how much of decision-making do we attribute to randomness simply because we have an incomplete understanding of the list of variables and factors involved with that decision? Things of that nature. Sorry for the word dump haha but my question was where can I find a place to study these things? I'm primarily looking at UX research & Human Factors since that's the application of user-centered design to real systems but a lot of the time the focus is on the finished result, or the system, rather than understanding why the system works or not. I know it's a pretty niche field but do you know of any PhD programs or organizations or anything that I can look into to find a) a quality graduate school program where I can explore these works or b) a group that does this type of work? I'm in the US but definitely open to travel for grad school. Thanks again for the video, genuinely appreciate the opportunity to hear a professional's take on the field

I can’t get over how many properties show a toilet that was exposed, with both lids up. Who doesn’t put the seat down when the loo is right beside the hand basin and their TOOTHBRUSH. Gross!

When we are setted in a flat, very rarely we move out unless the landlord doesn't renew the lease. 😅

And the moral of the story is.... move out of London asap.

Respectfully as a born and bred Londoner, these prices are delusional and ridiculous! They know who they're targeting, not one of these were worth more than £1800 especially not in Hackney of all places, just 10 years ago these flats were £1000 a month. There's no reason it should more than double in that time, except for persons who are duped by "locations" when 15yrs ago these areas were literally the ghetto of London!

As someone who lives in 100sqm apartment with a garden for 1100€ in the west of Germany those prices are definitely high for me. And why are those leases so short time?
