I have had my 2.7L ecoboost powered 2018 STX supercrew 4x4 for one year now. (I got it used). This truck is flat out amazing. Trucks and tubos go together like peanut butter and jelly. It halls everything I need and flat carries the mail when I step on it. When I drive like an adult, the fuel economy is fantastic.
The 2006 XLT I traded out of can't compare to my new truck.
#4 3.5L
#3 3.3L
#2 2.7L
#1 5.0L
Robert Strimpel you're correct
#4 is the 2.7 and #2 the 3.5. You can see #2 is a king ranch and the 2.7 is not available in a king ranch only the 3.5
The order is: 4) 2.7L EB, 3) 3.3L 2) 3.5L EB 1) 5.0L Thanks!
That's what I said. ;)
+The Fast Lane Truck knew 1 was a v8 and 3 had no turbo but got the ecoboost flip flopped not bad on my part I'd say tho
I hate to say this about TFL (cause i like these guys) but this is essentially a Info-mercial for new pickups. Charts of wheel trims and new colors, options, etc, etc. This is just like the salesman at the Ford lots
I own a 2012 F150 Super Crew 5.0 3.73. I had a 2015 3.5 Eco super crew 3.55, but it was stolen shortly after I bought it, predictably it was found out of gas a short time later. I have towed my 8000 lbs loaded TT through British Columbia with them, and I can say for sure the 5.0 is not the weak link on the truck, even tho they have it listed at 1000 lbs less towing. The weak links are 1. The brakes, you will run out of brakes on long steep grades. 2. The transmission, it will overheat on big hills. 3. The suspension, it bucks and bounces down the highway with any weight on the hitch. And this is with a weight distribution hitch, airbags, and Monroe coil over shocks designed for towing, and all the weight packed over the axles. All this with over 2 tons less than they claim it can tow. Also, on your next Ike gauntlet tests, please include transmission temperature at the top of the hill. Thanks.
I grew up with Chevys and they have been the most reliable things I've ever had. However, when I buy a truck in a year, I will probably not be going for another Silverado. The aluminum body is so nice to have up here in the north. That's the only reason I'm buying it.. I truly believe aluminum body trucks are the future, so I see the rest of the competitors as out dated. Just my 2 cents
It's a big step up. It's not like changing rim designs or anything like that. Chevy is in a special position because they bsed Ford for trying something new. However, that new thing got me to hop ships. Innovation is what drives sales, and it's no secret that in the GM community that the drive trains of GM trucks out last the body because rust demolishes their vehicles. I wanted a solution to the rusted out body, but it wasn't Chevy that offered that solution, it was Ford.
Heartagram I would love if Chevy went with aluminum body but keeps the steel bed in the back it would be nice for the north east
properly undercoated they'll last, it's just people don't, gotta keep em clean too. that being said I'm kinda wanting an f150 over a GM.
Most of the new chevys are aluminum just the bed aint
Thank you for giving an honest, fact based, anger free opinion. Such a thing is incredibly rare these days!
I absolutely love my 2018 F150 Lariat SuperCrew with the 502A package, sticker was $62,000 and I got it out the door for $52,000. I have owned Chevy, Ford and Dodge and liked all of them but this truck I have now I absolutely love it, I live in Ohio and got the truck 3 weeks ago and I'm in Florida now, the truck averaged 18.5 MPG on the way down and it should get better when it gets broke in. Very Very happy with this truck, I traded a 2015 F150 Extended cab XLT in for this truck.
Owning both a 2015 3.5eco and a 2016 5.0, I benefit from having 20,000 on one and 15,000 on the other. The 5.0 is great for the fun stuff 4wheeling running around town and hitting back road and listening to it. The 3.5 is the go to truck for towing a 7000lb tractor or pontoon boat. I have used both but the 3.5 is much better suited because of the lower rpm for the maximum torque and it gets about two miles per gallon better because the rpms can stay around 2200 as opposed to the 3000 for the 5.0. Both are set up the same 355 gear, 4x4. Hope this helps with the discussion on which is better they have there ups and down for each but it's a blessings to own either one.
Lot of commenters profess to be Ford haters, if true, why are you watching and commenting on Ford pickups??? I was raised on a farm, then moved west to a ranch, then worked in oilfield, then construction, after 40 + years, Ford is #1 for lots of reasons, and that is why the Ford haters are commenting, it is called penis envy. Or jealousy cause Ford rules. I personally tried to pull out of a field a broken down tractor with a twin gang 32 foot disc on the ground, with a 4x4 Chevy 454, it failed, then I pulled it out with a older Ford 2 wheel drive with 391 manual, that my friends and Ford hater commenters is why the Ford haters are commenting here, they know no other pickup maker is as good as Ford for working, and why farmers, ranchers, oilfield contractors, and construction companies buy ford. I have many more stories of how Ford trucks saved the day in myriad situations, probably forgot more than I remember, after all these years, so this is to remind Ford haters why Ford trucks rule for 50 years and counting, btw, I have stopped for broke down chevy and dodge trucks for 40 years to help them with my Ford, and they were nothing but grateful, not one word of hate.
I’m more of a Chevy fan, but I must say Ford has done a GREAT job with this truck
#4- 2.7L Ecoboost
#3- 3.3L V6
#2- 3.5L Ecoboost
#1- 5.0L V8
Awesome video too!
2.7 or 5.0 I think are the best
4. 3.5L
3. 3.3L
2. 2.7L
1. 5.0L
The ecoboosts were alittle harder to figure out but that 2.7 has a lighter note to it.
1: 3.5
2: 3.3
3: 2.7
4: 5.0
4. 3.5 EB rice drenched in Tabasco
3. 2.7 EB very ricey
2. 3.3 V6 sounds pretty good
1. 5.0 V8 best sound of course
Traded my 2010 f150 for a 2018 f150. Both great trucks. The 2010 was a tank solid as steel. The 2018 is fast and good on gas for a v8
So many haters, it's kind of funny that their watching this video if they dislike FORD so much. But then again you have so many people with no lives, miserable, and winers with nothing better to do. Despite of what they say FORD is doing just fine making their money. Overall great package FORD.
Drew Crew it happens in chevy and dodge videos too. Everyone hates on everyone. Ford isn't special
HEMI LOVER Modern vehicles in general are pure garbage.
HEMI LOVER then why are u watching a video on then like drew crew said people like you are misreable
Dennis Malcolm did he ask that ?
Hemeroid Lover, I learned long ago that people who tear down others, or tear down what others have, are insecure and need to tear down in order to try to prop up what they are or have. I was once like you. Not a good look.
Currently looking at the f150 and really think I want the V8 for the simple fact it doesn't need the turbos to make it's power. I usually keep a truck for 10 years and I just don't see the more complex Eco boost holding up... the v8 design has been through the fire.

Love the ecoboost engines, I’ve owned a 2014 5.0 had nothing but problems. I was the 2nd owner bought it with an amazing carfax report. Has all its maintenance done as it should but the engine began to tick and found shavings in the oil it had really low miles also. The 5.0’s are really a hit and miss. Sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you don’t. Friend of mine owns a ecoboost with really high miles had minor issues and still runs strong today. Definitely stay away from the 5.0, the ecoboost is way more reliable, has better mpg, and has WAY more power. It’s a no brainer.
It never ceases to amaze me how childish we are when it comes to our tucks; "Ford sucks, cause my daddy said so!" or "My Ram runs the 1/4 mile faster than you can say Home Depot!". More competition is good in my book. Each manufacturer raises the bar every year which is bringing us some bad ass tucks. A half ton (with a V6) that tows 13,200lb or hauls 3,000lbs? It wasn't long ago that those numbers were good for a HD class truck. Now we're really close to making over 1,000 lb-ft of torque on the 1 Tons. I say bring it Chevy, Ram, Ford, or hell...even Toyota and Nissan!
guy proulx - Andre said he wouldn't... and I agree with him. That's a lot of weight for a half ton. With that being said, it's been SAE certified to tow that amount so it can do so safely and legally. Usually you hit the cargo/load capacity well before you hit the towing capacity with a 1/2 ton though.
Man you people just refuse to give the ecoboost any credit at all. They have their cons for sure, but towing isn't one of them. Most of the v8 options out there in the 1/2 class are perfectly cable, but I have found that the 3.5 eco just flat out does it better. And that's a fact. Funny how people don't seem to have anything against BorgWarner, yet they'll still cuss the ecoboost. Which uses turbos built by them anyways.
Kevin Karren they call the economy boost gay. However, it's. NO different when a gay guy kicks a strait guy's ass in a fight, their embarrassed. I'm a Chevy guy but I'd take any of these new trucks. I just happened to like my 2008 silverado that is paid off and trouble free.
guy proulx my 2013 3.5EB towed on average 7-8k lbs on a daily basis for 4 years till I got the 2016 . Had around 80k km wich is prolly 66k ish miles when I got rid of it and the only issue I had with it was a leaking seal on the diff that was fixed under warranty . I woulda kept my 2013 had some douche not scraped the shit out of the side of my bed while I was parked .
Hrsplit Hr there aare a million stories like this for every engine, manufacturers etc. And with it there are bad ones. So the guy who has had a bad economist might complain and switch. Manufacturers, the guy who didn't will swear by them. I personally like the 5.3, efficient, reliable, and easy to work on, {push rod}. I'd take the ecoboost, hemi, or the LS line up any day.
#4 is the 2.7, the 8.8 rear diff isn't available behind the bigger ecoboost.
#3 is the 3.3, also has the 8.8 but no turbo.
#2 is the 3.5
#1 is the 5.0
4: 2.7 V6 Ecobeast
3: 3.3 V6
2: 3.5 V6 Ecobeast
1: 5.0 Coyote V8
Nathan Dryer you may want to edit if you are serious about the contest deal. It's a 3.3 liter V6, not just 3.0.
Alan Bowers, Hey thanks.
Nathan Dryer no prob!
Nathan Dryer agree
I'm pretty sure you're right about the order of the engines, but they are "Ecoboost", not "Ecobeast".
4: 3.5L Ecoboost
3: 3.3L V6
2: 2.7L Ecoboost
1: 5.0 Baby!!!
I'll give it a try...
#4: 3.5l
#3: 3.3l
#2: 2.7l Turbo
#1: 5.0l (my favorite :-))
Had 2014 f150 3.5 ecoboost xlt. Owned it 2 years and had 0 zero problems. Before that had F150 2005 5 years - 0 zero problems, F150 2007 2 years - 0 zero problems. Now I got F150 2017 3.5 L ecoboost Lariat, looking forward to have same experience - 0 zero problems.
qgcandrey I am driving a 2011 3.5 ecoboost w 190k miles, no issues, these ecoboost motors have been amazing. I am sure that you will continue to have a great experience with them.
To all the Ford haters and dodge lovers, enjoy having your foot amputated after a front impact crash! Ford scores the highest safety pick of all the pickups!
K M O yeah those foot choppers ain't good
guy proulx go have fun losing your feet and nuts chevy.
mohammadkwt yeah ever since fait took over chrysler. but hey dodge and ford's are always better than chevy.
Ford has to have a high saftey rating ..... If all those mustang wrecks where deathly it would be population control at its finest
Have you seen the mustang wreck videos??? Ford has no choice but to have the highest safety rating. IT keeps idiots like you alive to buy more product!
Have always owned Ford trucks. Besides regular maintenance, they have been flawless. My current F-150 since new has followed suite, not 1 penny not one failure of anything. So yea I will buy another.
Combination direct and port injection. Why was this not mentioned.
I'm almost certain that it is as follows:
1. 5.0
2. 2.7
3. 3.3
4. 3.5
Great video! Glad to see y'all teaming up with Americantrucks.com. Same company as AmericanMuscle.com that I've been buying Mustang parts from for years. They're great people and have excellent customer service.
4. 3.5l EcoBoost
3. 3.3l V6
2. 2.7l EcoBoost
1. 5.0 V8
My truck has a 5.4 and I can't wait to board that thing old but I don't really need to I mean whatever happened to the 5.4 everybody's talking about these went past the engines and it makes me laugh like I'll just hold it out and bored out and let's see what I get them
I will take a 2018 platinum. I love the look, even cooler LED lights, and other improvements. I work in a shop, I have driven so many new rams. And, the 3.5 ecoboost pulls so much harder on the highway, nicer interior, looks better, and doesn't have a stupid nob on the dash to put it in gear. I hate that!!
I'm really diggin the new front end design for 2018 makes it look more aggressive.
#4 = 2.7L Eco#3 = 3.3L#2 = 5.0L#1 = 3.5L Eco
I am a Ram owner... but I think they have improved the outside very much. But all I had with ecoboost was issues. You can say I'm a hater but that's just my experience.
So, Ford should change the EcoBoost marketing badge to EcoBOAST!
Still that dodge will be a rust bucket after warranty
I just bought my 2018. Love it! 2.7, 3.5 ,3.3 , 5.0
4. the 3.5 v6
3. the 3.3 v6
2. the 2.7 v6
1. the 5.0 v8
4 is the 2.7. 3 is the 5.0 liter. 2 is the 3.5 liter eco boost. and 1 is the 3.3 liter v-6.
I've had a 2010 F150 that started to fall apart at 23k miles ( bad hubs, slip-bump transmission/drive shaft issue, ac failure, fuel door mechanism failure, and of course the dreaded cam phaser issue) a 2013 Ram 1500 with no issues, and most recently a 2014 Sierra 1500 that does nothing but shake and vibrate on the highway. My next truck = 2019 Ram 1500!
Good choice the smart people make but we are out numbered by special people.
Billy LaBiche No issues on the Ram? I have a 2014 and the exhaust manifold bolts blew out. according to the guy at the dealership it happens to all rams. Good thing I was covered by warranty. Also Ram is the worst for crash test ratings, I will be trading mine in next year.
your smart stay away from the pop can pick up. ford products have always feell apart . and to top it off they keep shoving the eco boost engines down peoples throat whats the purpose its not like it really get better gas mileage than a regular v6 or v8. people don't realize how much the eco boost is going to cost them down the line. 2 turbos. and other various turbo related junk under the hood. ford have people really fooled. go look up the gas mileage over a normal engine. its not eaven much different. ford takes advantage of people that can't do the math
@@jimmyvillegas2172 they are also the most rust prone. But to each his own.
@citizen-x Than I guess you will be buying a mountain bike.....dumbass...🙄🙄🙄
1st, 2.7, 2nd, 3.3, 3rd 3.5, 4th 5.0 or 4th 2.7, 3rd 3.3, 2nd 3.5, 1st 5.0
4. 2.7L V6 3. 3.3L V6 2. 3.5L V6 1. 5.0L V8
The last one is clearly a turbo truck
Now its 3 years later and not saying every one but Ford struggled with the 2018 model. Lot of recalls and they werent small ones either. My uncle had one, gave him problems and traded in for a 2021 Sierra. They fixed majority of them in 2019. My co worker has a 2017 with the 3.5 and he works, has 198k on it so 2017 looks like a good year
I miss Ford's old engines. The old OHV 302 was a very solid and good-sounding engine. The Cologne OHV V6 was a fantastic engine. It was very solid and reliable, and one of the best-sounding V6's. Even the 4.6 was a really good engine. I don't like the direct coil ignition, but I do like the fact that I just rolled 200k miles on my 2004 Explorer. I really dont trust these new designs. Will they last 200k miles? Can you change the oil on a new Ford? Spark plugs? Water pump?
Benjamin Slayton Same here man but these modern car lovers just don't get it.
342,000 on my 99 expedition. 260,000 on my 96 , 15 passenger van.

I love my 3.5 eco boost 225,000 miles and still pushing baby!
4. 2.7 eco boost 3. 3.3 v6 2. 3.5 ecoboost v6 1. 5.0 v8
one note.... If you buy the F150 STX you will NOT be able to install a trailer break system. The truck comes with a tow package but Ford didn't put the fuse or fuse holder in to connect up. Not sure why they did this but it's causing problems..
lot's of people in these comments have obviously never driven a 3.5 ecoboost powered f150.
True. I drove the 5.0 V8 vs the 3.5L EcoBoost, both Stock and like the EcoBoost over the V8 on all areas other than sound. However, if you add an aftermarket exhaust to the EcoBoost, it's not terrible. Still pretty bad on sound compared to V8, but it's not awful. The 3.5L delivers the goods. Maybe it's time to step out of the past, and look at performance over sound as being a priority.
My f150 drive shaft is a throw away, nonservicable.. $$1000 today to do rearend bearings now I have to replace the drive shaft for another $500.. after market serviceable and greasable.. wtf Ford.. should of stayed with Toyota for sure..
Ecoboost has more punch but around 60k miles my turbos and manifolds were shot.. i really wish i got the 5.0
How really cares about punch and a second quicker.. 230k with only brake pads and oil changes is what I want.. My Ford is junk.. Toyota Tacoma is my next truck.. I should of never switch.. Resell Value says it all.. I might even get into a Rav 4 hybrid Toyota.. Until then I am payment free and will be fixing what breaks
It has more torque and higher towing capacity. 3.5 EcoBoost handles business, who gives a shit about the sound.
Every home needs a truck.
Towed moving trailers & boats thousands of miles with my 2014 3.5 Eco Boost F-150 Lariat 2x4 = Zero issues.
I should've bought a F-250 to tow bigger & better built 5th Wheel trailers. The Hyper-lite trailers I can tow with my F-150 seem to be made of very low quality materials.
Hopefully this comment helps some of you on the fence.
Am I the only one who thinks the 2017 front end is better looking?
Matt Huhn you are not the only one.
Nope!
I think the 2017 front is also better looking. They should've adapted that aggressive grille from the Raptor for 2018, so sexy!
2017 front end is worlds better than this. Ford making the same mistake GM made going from 2015 front end to 2016.
2015-2017 front ends are the same and yes, they look better than the 2018.
I dont like the 18 grille..
I only like the lights
I just bought a 2018 FX4 F150 Sport with the 3.5L EcoBoost with 6" lift on 20" wheels rolling 35's. This is coming from a Chevy 1500 LTZ with 6.0L also on 35's. The Ford has more usable Torque than the chevy, and while I do miss the sound of the big V8, the power delivery is faster, and more available at lower RPM's. You can hit 40 and by the time you hit 60 you honestly can't believe you are rolling 35's. Feels more like 31x10.5's on this new Ford. So for all the haters, that are hating on Fords re-design, either they haven't looked at the Sport Front end, because it's badass. I wasn't a fan of the re-design a few years back when they came out with it, but now I like it.
Yeah, I hate the this 2017 F150 that Enterprise gave me. But I'm going to be glad when I get my Ram back from getting the hail damage repaired. The turbo lags, it has to down shift and wait for the damn turbos to spool up. My next complaint is the bloody hell small side mirrors.
The suspension is extremely stiff and the fuel economy of the 2.7 eb is just as bad as any other V8 on the market.
They only thing I like about the truck is the torque, but it feels like a very less responsive hemi. Please note that my hemi with an 8 speed is not stock.
Dumbass Liberal
Never had an issue with mine.
Funny how TFL and none of the other reviewers had any of those same comments about the 2.7l F150. The Ram does ride better though at the expense of significantly less payload capacity than other trucks with leaf springs. So that's quite a trade off.
Yes and no. I have the air ride.
sugonmaballs it's second place in pay load and it held first place last year.
So correct. My 3.5 sucked. It gets the same as my 5.7
ford f150 I get it with 88,000 miles on it given me hard hard time and right now it's it in my garage.
V8's are first priority. Put the lame V6's to the side and put more effort into the Coyote for once.
Doesn't matter if it's a v6 or not the output is the same even peterbelt has been putting v6 in there transport trucks
Sorry but I'm sticking with a V8. I don't like those Ecoboost's at all.
The Real Jinora I don't disagree I was just saying but I have the 5.0 v8
V8s have become a specialty engine only due to the sissy turds who don't see the value in a truck lasting a long life and would rather get 3mpg better than have their truck last 5 years longer. they are currently the same group destroying the jeep wrangler. trucks/jeep engines of today are all high stress, high rpm, turbocharged engines with more sensors and parts to break with weak power curves with all major components shaved down to bare minimum steel to save weight. a fall-apart truck laden with computers so you will be lucky to get 10 years out of it and forget about working on it or repairing yourself...but hey, uses slightly less gas.... GRAHHH! if you can't fill it, DON'T BUY IT!
Robert It's all good but no I see what you mean I know they have similar output as the V8's do but it doesn't change the fact that it's not a V8.
1st thing I'd do is replace the exhaust with a magnaflow catback duel exhaust on all these trucks.
I'd love a brand new f150, but they are so damn expensive that I can't get anyone to give me a loan to get one and I make $43k A year with credit scores in the 680's. Do I have to be a millionaire to get one?
Matt Man your credit score sucks donkey ballz, man. Gonna be very hard to get a loan. The most important things is your debt ratio....
Matt Man
I ended up buying a used 2013 F150 XLT Extended cab 4x4 V8 with a sticker price of $24,599. Had 35,000 miles on it. I wasn't even looking to buy a truck that day, just stopped by the lot one day and couldn't pass up the price and mileage. I know mine's used, but like you stated, new is too expensive. Just put a front level kit on earlier this year, blacked out head and tail lights, and black fender flares. Come tax refund, putting on new wheels (33x12.5r18 MT).
Hard Working American don’t you think maybe you should use that refund to pay down some debt to help your credit score and monthly budget. If you did that maybe in a few years you could get a new F-150.
Great truck. I love my 2018 f150. Ford has always made a good truck. No complaints.
Ram guys are just salty because their trucks have the worst towing capacity even worse than Chevy
why the hell not
guy proulx sorry I don't have the balls to drive a truck that has breaks that belong on a car towing 13,200 lbs in the mountains even on a flat road I wouldn't try
Yeah towing 13000ibs with a half ton is not a good idea, GM, FCA, and Ford are just bullshiting really, if you plan on towing that much you might as well get a three quarter ton, or a one ton
ok so what if you occasionally need to haul that much and not very far then getting a 3/4 ton or a one ton isnt really the best option
it also isnt about hauling the max it gives you a little more sercurity when hauling 10 11 or 12,000 pounds
4 - 2 liter
3 - 3.3
2 - 5.0
1 - 3.5
Don't forget to mention the 65k price tag, and the deprecation as soon as you drive it off the lot
Jackem High that's a 65k price tag on a luxury truck. You can still get one for 27k. And the other manufacturers also have trucks in this price range.
Just about any car depreciates as soon as it’s driven off the lot
all vehicles depreciate when you take them off the lot. a vehicle is a tool, it's not like your table saw is going to increase in value once its out of the store.
Brian Waller how is it ugly it’s the same as the luxury just not so beautified inside
Brian Waller I was talking about xlt forgot about the xl

New Ford grille is an outline of a Chevrolet Bowtie lol...

Ford f150 is a great truck. I just don't know how I feel about an aluminum body. Deer are a big problem in the north east. Say I smack one doing 50 what will the damages be and what body shop will fix aluminum? Not sure if any are repairing the aluminum bodies in my area. Just my 2 cents.
Nothing against Ford but I am sorry it sounds like a lawn mower why not have a v8?? The Ford econline vans had the 4.5 liter and the 5.4 liter why can't the f150 have it???

I have this issue right now front passager floor and front passager door. both have/get water in them everytime I use a car wash or it rains and I took it to Ford Dealership and they said if its due to a clog then I have to pay for it but if its a bad seal then its under warrinty. I have a 2016 XLT with glass roof and CREW CAB. I will be contacting FORD customer service and see what they say

The transmission difference seem to be the only major change on the new Ford pickup trucks, and most people care about. I would like to see them come out with a body again which can survive a hail storm. My 1999 Ford Explorer was the last vehicle which could survive a hail storm, as my 2004 F-150 pickup, and 2007 Escape received over $5000.00 dollars in damage from one storm at my home.
Nice truck, but since my mortgage is less, I'll take an appreciating asset, a house.
Houses really don't appreciate that much anymore. Just saying.

lol theres only one thats the best and dose not sound like a lawn mower
THE 5.0 V8 (BEST)
5.3, 6.0, 6.2, 7.0
+Shifty Malone YES! Coming from a Vortec 6.2L owner.
LS engines are the best engines in the world today, even better than the world famous small block
i have a stock 2004 dodge dakota 4.7 V8 and it sounds better than all of those fords
I do not like ford trucks but if I had no choice I would buy the 5.0 because even with my bias the 5.0 is a great engine just like my 4.6 in my 2008 Lincoln town car was fantastic.

1. Ram Hemi
2. Sounds better
3. Than
4. F150 turbo lawn mowers
Jonathan Heald it's the only thing Ram does better. 😂
Jonathan Heald The lawn mower f150 smoke that hemi good sounding shit
Jonathan Heald but the hemi is slow as shit,
Stephen Kintzel
I beg to differ. A Ram can still get from 0 to 60 in under 5.5 seconds
Really...5.4 - 6 seconds 0-60 and 14.2 in the 1/4 mile..
The 2012 CrewCab 6 speed auto did 14.4 in the 1/4,the new F 150 Ecoboost runs that in the 1/4..Fast as a 6 speed 2012 Ram 1500..
In a race gear ratio's play a huge difference..Basically a RAM 5.7 HEMI,F 150 3.5 Ecoboost and GM 6.2 are a even race...
I think they are.

Now that's what I call balance, lmao.
4- 3.5 ecoboost
3- 3.3 base
2- 2.7 ecoboost
1- 5.0 coyote
Old front is better
Hell no....this one is way better. More balanced and not overbearing.
4 - 3.5 Eco
3 - 5.0
2 - 3.3
1 - 2.7
Sounds about right.
All new cars and trucks are so ugly, I would not be tempted to buy them, even if money or dependability were not considerations. Across the board, cars and trucks were significantly better looking and better built 20-30 years ago.

why cant ford just build "one" good engine? ....dont need four bad engines at different price points...smh

they keep getn uglier... Probably a nice truck but a face only mama could love...
Yes, all the trucks look goofy today.
Tommy Truth Exactly mate and not to mention that they're overpriced as well.
What the hell isn't overpriced these days!
sfbfriend Exactly mate.
You couldn`t afford a Pinto jerk.
Not a Ford guy, but the interior of a King Ranch is sure hard to beat!
It is nice, but I got custom leather in an XLT and like it better than the King Ranch Leather. I'm no Rancher, give me some choices.
Please Ford, stop with the fake wood trim. Looks classless, and cheap.
Wood trim can be great, but you're completely right. Ford wood trim looks like plastic. Good plastic can look nice too; they just need to be true to the material they are using.
thegreatga Actually, the wood is real on all models higher than the lariat
'17 limited has genuine eucalyptus wood trim with burnished edges, and it's a real stunner... Platinum and KR both have real wood as well, although I'm not sure what species
We'll it's good to know they have improved it.
Classless and cheap? Just like a Ford!

Jay Osmond they are all garbage and over price
The Ram is King Shit of Turd Island.
The Ram is King by fart!!
at least you'll feel good about how it sounds when you get out performed. Maybe you should have just downloaded an MP3 of exhaust notes since that's all you think matters, and then bought a better truck?
Sure looks better than last year.
Who else thinks this 2018 POS ford will disappoint on the tow test?
Me
CesarConH - who else thinks this guy is a little bitch ??
