  • Running is great. See how great my training is going.
Training for a marathon is like fighting a gorilla. You don't fight until you're tired, you fight until the gorilla is tried. H. Keddell, 2018.

Nice work on the training! We've all been there on the mental hurdles, hope you find your way thru it sooner rather than later!

I am sure you will find a way out of it soon, but dont hesitate to seek guidance if you feel you need it. Thanks for sharing. Strong running, by the way👍

Congrats on getting those workouts in
I have been struggling with working outside in this heat then trying to go for a run in also
I have thought about running to work of a morning but it has been so still over 30 degrees and over 60% humidity at 6am 😅😅

Too right! I don’t know how you guys do it. I’m sweating sitting under the aircon most of the time! It’s been so muggy up here.

I heard someone say earlier this week that we need mental rest as well as physical rest. Rest from social interaction, planning, organizing, worrying, stress, etc. so this week I started to incorporate a 5 to 10 minute meditation after my runs. I just sit at the beach or at the park and turn my brain off and just observe. Perhaps an idea that might help. Cheers.

I love that idea. It’s draining just being “on” all of the time. I would find it really hard to sit a switch off for ten minutes. I’d probably have to work up to it. How’s it working for you?

@@runningwithaj it is difficult and takes time, but even sitting and trying feels like it helps. Some brains are full throttle and are comfortable there, i get that.

I can’t imagine why you would be avoiding Jeremy 🫶🏼
