- In this video, I recap my recent 10k race where I attempted to run a sub 38 minute 10k.
Training for a marathon is like fighting a gorilla. You don't fight until you're tired, you fight until the gorilla is tried. H. Keddell, 2018.

congratulations for growing and embracing the love for running and putting all the great feelings running gives to us ahead of chasing numbers
Thanks mate. It's lovely to hear from you. I had the greatest day and it was really something to feel that passionately again.
@@runningwithaj you know, some 2 years ago you would have been furious to miss a sub 40 minute by a couple of seconds, but now you have reached the stage of a happy runner, who loves to run instead of chase numbers. I am very happy, that you had such a great experience
Impressed by your ethusisasm! Nice to see that you have the energy to share your passion with more people.
And regarding your run; it is an experience most of us do that racing flat out is so uncomfortable that it becomes a mental game far too early in the race. The solution is exactly what you said - more racing😅
Thanks mate. I had so much fun! It's been a long six months without racing, but the bug's back. Hopefully the rain stays away so more races aren't cancelled.
Great work!

What a well organised event it was 👍🏻 I definitely had the same hiccup as you at the 5klm point, I was feeling super strong running about 10seconds quicker per klm than usual , once I got off the grass back into the path for my next loop a wave off lactic build up hit my legs and I battled to hang on , also my Garmin Fenix 7 registered 10.3klm total which I think weakened my mindset abit at the end as I was in the hurt locker
Blame the grass...it's easier that way! Let's not worry about going out too hard. I couldn't be that. The extra distance hurt a bit. Unfortunately GPS will never be accurate on that track. Well done on sticking it out.
