  • This video's release was delayed. I got pretty sick for a solid week.
Who are the NFL's best teams who failed to even advance to the Super Bowl. We'll count down the top ten right here.
    Explanation of C-Score:
C-Score is a metric created by this channel to assign an overall value to a football team. It takes a team's:
-Results, including standard and Pythagorean W-L record
-Performance, including game control and play-by-play production
-Quality of opponents, specifically performance level against opponents
and distills all of that into one cumulative and comparative score reflecting the context of the season in question. When applicable, a team's playoff performance is also included.
A C-Score of 0 represents an average football team, whereas anything above 0 represents an above average team and anything below 0 represents a below average team.
A team's record is important, but not always indicative of C-Score. An 11-5 team can rate higher than a 13-3 team or lower than a 9-7 team. Not all records are created equally.

Without having watched the video to its completion at first, I immediately thought of the '98 Vikings. At 15-1, they were fairly dominant throughout the season, but they absolutely choked in that NFC championship game.

The only thing that could’ve been worse that game was if they actually made the field goal but still found a way to lose that game. That would’ve been an extra level of choking right there, blowing a 10 point lead late in the game.

Really enjoyed this one! As a niners fan, I was quite surprised the 1990 team didn't make the top 10

Thank you! Also as a Niners fan, I'm not sure I could have made this video if the 90 team made it. 33+ years later, and I've yet to watch any footage of THAT game. Still not over it!

i would also say the 94 steelers and 1974 raiders offense was crazy

Good video. Clearly teams wearing purple are doomed to spectacularly fall flat....

No mention of the late 70's early 80's San Diego Chargers?

ngl i would say the 1986 browns and the 1987 49ers and the 1969 raiders

It's a solid list but EASILY TOP 3 would be the 94 Steelers. Yeah, they were THAT good and lost the single most amazing game EVER which I can do walk anyone through if needed

The Steelers were not gonna beat the 49ers in the Super Bowl that year, but that linebacking corps would've at least given Young a hard time

@@arizonawrestlinginterviews1040 I think that's right. I don't think the Steelers win, BUT it wouldn't have surprised me if they did. They were, EASILY, top 3 teams in the NFL that year and FOs DVOA supports that.
One thing is for CERTAIN...it would have been a GREAT game, much better than the shit Chargers that year. One of the singular WORST teams to qualify for a Super Bowl EVER

2007 cowboys. Were 12-1 before securing home field advantage. The lonely loss was against the Patriots (18-1). Beat the eventual Super Bowl champs….twice. How are they not on this list. Lol😂.

I haven't watched it yet, but if any team is ranked higher than the 1998 Vikings, I strongly disagree.

2005 Cincinnati Bengals would have steamrolled their way to their first SB win if Kimo von Oelhoffen hadn't rolled on Carson Palmer. Cincinnati never recovered from that in the Palmer and Dalton eras.

Oh bologna. The Colts would have literally them up with significant ease
