With all the concerns about birds flying into the windows and concerns for privacy regardless of the tint I still feel insecure with that much glass. Perhaps an option to modify from full wall windows to just regular sized windows?
I am concerned about the mirror glass; bird killers is summer. Birds thinks that there is open space beyond and fly straight at the glass. Even with standard glass of large expanse will get bird strike. Other than that that it is lovely.
Did you hear about the fires in Los Angeles for 10,000 buildings were burned and they didn't have any water because they were worried about the smelt a small anchovy like fish expiring fish in Northern California. That's right the firefighters had no water so they couldn't connect the hoses to fight the fire I guess the potential sacrifice of the smelt is worth 10,000 buildings and five lines
Nice. One can't grasp the complexities of this home except with a walk-around and seeing it in person. Bringing your viewers to these homes first hand makes a difference. Thank you, for that extra effort...
I agree with Granmother Tarnow. 😁 Also, thanks for pointing out the swing direction of the refrigerator doors and the reminder that this is a model. Refrigerator doors that swing the wrong way is a huge pet peeve of mine. LOL
Speaking as a "senior woman"...I LOVE IT!!! Amazing features and, a great price point! One question...with the reflecting glass, issues with deer or other creatures running through it? This is a contender for a getaway on a lot that offers privacy and take your breath away views. Maine Island for example!
Same! Well, not yet senior and still loving the industrial flair. My only concern would be trying to clean the sharp angle at the drain in the bathroom sink.
Kerry, WOW, WOW, WOW !!! Let me be frank with you. When I saw you walk around in the snow, I saw your ankles and got cold. I thought this young man is crazy! Later on I saw you did have some on. I’m from Austin, TX; anything under 40 and I’m freezing. Anyway, this is an awesome home. I totally agree with the Murphy bed comment and I think about using a tankless water heater, but overall great home. Another thing, it must be all the light from all the glass but makes the room look a lot bigger! Even with your hair standing all the way up, it looked that there’s plenty of room! Great job Kerry!
From my perspective, a female, this is awesome as an ADU for me. Couple of things, Murphy bed that turns into a nice couch. I fall asleep on the couch all the time. So I may never open that. I'd prefer some cabinets to open shelving. If you do cook in there the cooking will create a mess on open shelves. If I have a place to sit in the living room, I don't need the stools under the counter, cabinets please. I'd move that electrical box over behind the hanging rack, so wall storage for keys etc. could be there. Or, you could hang pots there. Bathroom, forget the glass on the shower. Put in a floating vanity and waterproof, slip proof flooring and you don't need the glass. Wet bath. Plus, it gives you the whole bathroom to be in and move around. Instead of having to clean the floor etc., you can just use a handheld shower head to do the floor. The floor would have to have a slight slope to get to the drain, but it's doable. A nice modern drain that would go across the bathroom floor would work. I like the look of the sink. If I had it my way I'd be able to hose out all the flooring in that place.😁😁 Not practical though.
This one is awesome. Instead of the bed, I'd put a Murphy bed with a couch and shelving unit on each side, and in the kitchen, a convection oven/microwave. Oh, I forgot a toaster, too, and it would be perfect.
Nice place to kick off new year, thanks for the tour. Another good hospitality unit, so a w/d would not be needed. Kitchen area is a decently designed space, and hood vent is great add to prevent stale smells. Not as claustrophobic feeling as some of the other places either. I think folks looking for long term tiny home spaces would want some different features.
Having been in that kind of low temperature, no way can a person stand out there, talking, with out wearing gloves, and a hat!! The cold is deadly!! Lovely unit!! Thank you!
They definitely gave you wrong info on the ceiling height! Im also 6'2 and live in a tiny house with 9' ceilings. Those looked like 10' to 10'6. If the roof height is 10'10 there's no way the interior is less than 9'. It should be around 10'4. Maybe they meant the short end of the slope? It looked like where you were standing was the high end
Very cool house, but I am so glad people are mentioning the danger to birds… They should at least have some decals put on there or figure out something to help save our feathered friends .
Thanks Kerry.. these are nice designs and I appreciate the summary. Thank you! Though the political part of me is weary of these little Airbnb make a buck boxes. They don't provide quick much needed housing for real people/families to live in. However, really nice for those with a buck to get away. Thanks for sharing.
Cool unit, but way too small to be a "home". Great location to showcase those windows, no doubt about that. Great touch of adding the range hood venting, rarely ever see that and good refrigerator size for a small unit. On the flip side, no cupboard space in the kitchen/ette. Bathroom is cool, though the shower looks really narrow.
Love the windows. Seriously nice. Biggest pet peeves are the price, the fridge and cooktop smooshed together, and lack of a bathtub. Just bought a slight fixer on a third of an acre overlooking the ocean for half that price and 4 times the interior space. But that's a neat little vacay cabin for the well-to-do. Thanks for showing us.
185k seems really high for that footprint. It’s over 600 per square foot. It’s nice but aside from The glass and the shower there aren’t many luxury level finishes here.
@@1monagale A few commercial panes of glass do NOT cost $80,000.. You are out of your mind.. I did my 3700 sqft house with Large picture widows, tilt turns and two custom doors with transom glass for $21k
Some interesting design ideas but it’s just a concept for an ideally pristine location. Biggest issue is that it’s a bird killer. But the simple and open floor plan will work well after they dial in the details.
What kind of circulation or whole house fan would Be needed to keep the humidity down? In such a cold environment, wouldn’t there be constant condensation around the windows?
No storage. Should have a Murphy bed instead and that price tag is unrealistic for a container home. For that price you can buy a home in Palm Springs.
The price again...Yikes! I live in Texas and I can get a 2/2 1200ft. manufactured home with deck, carport, shed and 1/2 acre for the same price. The Looking Glass is a beautiful modular, but the price is a deal breaker. Thanks for the tour, though!
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (mistake turkey blossom warfare blade until bachelor fall squeeze today flee guitar). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I’d want a washer/dryer but I also don’t like the open bedroom with a kitchen 🤷🏻♀️ But very pretty ngl - though I’m not much of a “view” person myself
Not to complain but I'm more interested in a home I can live in with about 500 sq.ft. and more. An air b-n-b doesn't interest me. Having said that, this offering looks like it has great potential.
Not for me. It feels cold and uninviting. Can't have the kitchen facing the bed - turn the kitchen to face the door. Makes no sense having the bed between the kitchen and sitting area. This climate and setting demands a wood stove.
NIce, but too small for my tastes and needs unless it were an ADU close to where a larger dwelling existed. Serving as an escape from everyone would make this ideal.
Bare ankles in -15º. 😱 It's a studio and all those glass walls means there is nowhere to place furniture. I would rather see a fold out sofa than a bed.
If its a show home, you get all the small details right, pure laziness not finishing the porch and fridge doors, thats an hours work. Does not inspire confidence in the company. The only selling point is a corner of glass, big wup, other than that, its just a steel box with a bit of furniture thrown into it, what might otherwise be called a storage container. Same concerns. It's a deathtrap for the birds
I lived with large glass walled home and birds were a problem hitting the glass constantly.
This was my first thought! I'm glad it was mentioned, and I love the interior, but it would be a no-buy for me because of the exterior.
Seems there are some nearly clear strips or decals that could be applied that are visible to birds that could help.
Sadly, this is so very true. We need a way to prevent birds from flying to the death on these houses.
Did you hear about the fires in Los Angeles for 10,000 buildings were burned and they didn't have any water because they were worried about the smelt a small anchovy like fish expiring fish in Northern California. Beautiful home. Would work better w/ a Murphy bed, to save floor space.
great idea!
Exactly my immediate thoughts!
I agree. Or an elevator bed.
Ooh la la, I like what I see in the looking glass! More bonus points for being made in Canada!
Thanks Jenn!
I agree with Granmother Tarnow. 😁 Also, thanks for pointing out the swing direction of the refrigerator doors and the reminder that this is a model. Refrigerator doors that swing the wrong way is a huge pet peeve of mine. LOL
Haha thats fair! It’s a trigger for people without a doubt.
It’s a beautiful little space. It deserves and demands a spectacular view where you Donte have to worry about privacy blinds. Thanks Kerry. 😊❤️
View with a room, and vice versa. Looks great, no kidding.
exactly! glad you like it
Gosh, thanks for braving the cold for this reveal. I'm drooling for one of those.
The placement of this unit is critical. Perfect as a getaway place. Thanks! Great as usual.
100%! This spot was something else. Thanks for watching John

thats a great question, I'm not an expert on deer sight but if theirs is anything like mine I think they'd be able to tell it's there.
Senior woman ?
So I guess you will be graduating in June then ?
😏😉
Those windows are definitely primed for bird strikes

Washer/dryer please 🙏 Cindy
fair point, thanks for the feedback!
Maybe swap the tank water heater for a tankless and squeeze a stackable W/D in that general area.
Having been in that kind of low temperature, no way can a person stand out there, talking, with out wearing gloves, and a hat!! The cold is deadly!! Lovely unit!! Thank you!
I made it quick! Glad you like it
A really cool Murphy bed is needed in spaces like this.
Great idea
Thank you for giving the dimensions.
You bet!
The view is spectacular! It’s all about the view. Room for clothes? Yes a Murphy bed would work! Otherwise nice if your a big time minimalist 😅
Murphy bed would be a nice addition

$104 starting off is NOT A BAD PRICE. Very reasonable.
Thanks for watching Allison
Love the bathroom.
Same
The windows are insane. If you have a view to exploit, this would work great as a rental. Pricing is not too bad..
Agreed! thanks for watching
Very cool house, but I am so glad people are mentioning the danger to birds… They should at least have some decals put on there or figure out something to help save our feathered friends .
Friendly correction: Not mistletoe but more like cedar boughs.
turns out I don't know what mistletoe is
Come on, give him a break.
He's just trying to get a kiss.

Nice!
That's a nice one ! 👍
Glad you like it Dale!
It's great and the right size. My concern though would be the birds flying into the glass. Thanks for sharing!

glad you like it!
Very well thought out design
Glad you like it
I really like this one, and it's relatively affordable.
Glad to hear!
Ha! First. Great content as usual Kerry.
Nice! Thank you

It's actually $770 per sqft.. That is just insane and another reason why these tiny homes and modular homes are worthless..
Let us know when you find something that cost less, the windows alone are worth $80,000, I know, we just got a quote for a house we’re building
@@1monagale A few commercial panes of glass do NOT cost $80,000.. You are out of your mind.. I did my 3700 sqft house with Large picture widows, tilt turns and two custom doors with transom glass for $21k
Very nice 👍
I would want triple pane glass for those windows, pay the extra up front and save in the short term.
Cheers
So -- like no storage for any belongings?
add your garage
Love the layout and it’s one level great if one be a used one for purchase in States already Dallas Texas to be exact ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Anyone else worried about birds flying into the glass windows?
What kind of circulation or whole house fan would Be needed to keep the humidity down? In such a cold environment, wouldn’t there be constant condensation around the windows?
All those huge windows….That space will be hot in the summer, cold in the winter!!
Touche for something that’s actually relatively affordable
Thank you 🙏
Yeah! Thanks for watching
I like it . Really !
Glad to hear it
No storage. Should have a Murphy bed instead and that price tag is unrealistic for a container home. For that price you can buy a home in Palm Springs.
Kerry, I checked out their website, and this model is not listed?
It’s brand new! It’ll be on there
Cute!
Glad you like it
Yup, want it.
nice right?

BTW Hydration is critical for a person with natural curl!
Nice house. Maybe needs some shelving in the bathroom too.
That shower room is giving off institutional vibes and the concrete finish is not helping.
That would be a nice addition
I’d want a washer/dryer but I also don’t like the open bedroom with a kitchen 🤷🏻♀️
But very pretty ngl - though I’m not much of a “view” person myself

100%
My first thought was “man that’s gonna kill a lot of birds.” Cool look though.
What is the cost? Do they deliver
Bath room works for me.
Glad you like it
Why is this not on their website?
Its brand new
Time to invest in a drone!
Oh that would have been amazing there
The Mirror window are dealy for birds .
Wrap it up, I’ll take it. 🎁
Haha coming up
washer and dryer combo where is it you're up to vacationing and you slip in the snow and get your clothes dirty how do you clean them
Can I order that magic button that turns the glass to frosted glass when needed ? 🤔
I wonder how much that costs ?
I never did hear the price but yeah, thats a great idea for this one
Is the glass self cleaning?
It isnt…
How does it hold with strong winds of 190 mph?
This one is designed for 80mph winds. They would have to build it specific for 190mph.
Why can't I see it on their site....?
It’s brand new
Too small for a full-time live-in home but would make a great guest house or cabin.
You might surprise yourself how little you actually need, when you go on vacation with only one suitcase, why would you need more?
I wonder if birds are going to be crashing into those mirrored windows.
5 MIN!! 1/2 GLASS HOUSE? LIKE I SED .. A VID ON ALL THE FLAT PACK HOMES THAT SHIP! EVER CHECKED 'THE SHED'?
Im going to check it out now!
So, as long as you own no clothing it seems nice.
It looks great - but no roof overhangs and these mirroring big glass windows are bird killers.
Not to complain but I'm more interested in a home I can live in with about 500 sq.ft. and more. An air b-n-b doesn't interest me. Having said that, this offering looks like it has great potential.
Birds will attack the mirrors too
The porch needs a cover to sit outside.
$5,000 more than OOD for half the glass.... hmmmm
I get this unit is slightly bigger, but the layout doesn't flow as well and there's no floor heat.
It does have in floor heat, forgot to mention that
Not for me. It feels cold and uninviting. Can't have the kitchen facing the bed - turn the kitchen to face the door. Makes no sense having the bed between the kitchen and sitting area. This climate and setting demands a wood stove.

Thats fair! I went to one of their larger models after, should be out Sunday.
It's not really a home, its a guest apartment. The Shower is very narrow. Way too tiny for everyday living.
I think when it come to decor, if you like modern there is no masculine or feminine version.
I foresee birds crashing into the glass constantly.
Do you see birds?
