The stakes are higher than anybody realises.. chasing a loss can very quickly destroy someone’s life to the point that you actually think suicide is now the best option… when 2 days earlier you would never have imagined such a thing.

I was a hard drug addict for most of my life until 4 years ago, but gambling addiction seems to be so much worse and definitely more expensive. At least I always got my fix for my money. At least there was usually a point where I was satisfied for a while.
Gambling seems like a non stop spiral. It's the crack cocaine of non substance addictions. Quick high followed by chasing the next. But even crack isn't as destructive as a pure and sincere gambling addiction.
I hope anyone reading this that is struggling manages to find a way out.

You will almost never win in gambling with a low bank roll realistically, if you are down tens of thousands even if the casino has a slight edge you are not going to consistently win to break even. That's the trap, its just math that is why you will almost never here of people breaking even from losses. Even if you did, your mind will get fucked up thinking knowing you won a large amount and you wont want to work knowing you can have luck and win your monthly pay in a minute. But even if a casino offered you a hundred bucks to play they know they are getting it back and more. I started online when I was 11 and now I'm 20 lost over 20 grand that if I had invested it would of been 50k plus. If you want an outlet for taking some risk get into investing into safe stocks. My friend made 20k and lost it in minutes and thereafter lost his own money. There is no end unless you stop there is no winning and stopping, better to end on a loss rather than keeping it in your mind

Surely we have to get to the root of this problem which is the grooming of our young people by the betting companies. They spend millions on advertising at sports events to get you to sign up and then once you are in, bombard you with offers of special bets. The misery and the number of ruined lives caused by gambling addiction is massive. The football clubs say they need to revenue from gambling advertising to pay the high wages demanded by players. So ultimately it is the players that are responsible for the misery and death of those people who get sucked into gambling.

Don't gamble, just invest. It's can be much more lucrative and people will think you're smart and not a degenerate fool. You also can actually get an edge that isn't determined by luck. Have to be a lot more patient though. Keep in mind I said invest, not trade. Trading is much more near to gambling. Don't trade unless you are ready to completely devote your life to it. Even then you're probably not going to profit.

You have to turn to God. That’s what I did. I literally cried to God in the middle of the night and then suddenly, I got an urge to read the Quran on daily basis.
After one week reading the Quran, I found an immense hate in my heart for the casino and everything inside it. Im shocked that God has answered my prayer because I gambled for 2 years and realized I was losing too much money to the point I was waiting for my paycheck. So yeah I’m thankful I have control of my life back and all gratitude belongs to God.

for all the people out there saying that they cant control themselves, what do you mean you cant control yourself? learn to control your mind and snap out of it. you can see that it clearly doesnt work so why are u continuing to do it? control your mind tell yourself to stop. i also went through the same stage and controlled my mind so i stopped, started a business and im now making 5k a month as a 19 year old. you cant control the weather or anything else. you cant even control whether your heart stops beating u could have a heart attack tomorrow. the only thing you have control over is your mind. so use it, change yourself and control yourself and fix your brain.
