This man is literally explaining what every Compulsive Gambling Addicts are going through. Yes the only way to Win in gambling is not to play at all. I've screwed up everything in my life including my carrier, my parents savings and everything I had so far is no longer with me. Giving up or quitting on gambling is very hard despite knowing you can never recover even 50% of your loss. I request all of you out there who is gambling or thinking gambling can give you better life, please stop it immediately. Coz losing everything and finding a motivation to live normal like before is highly impossible and it's gonna affect your life in all aspects be it anything. Eventually you will end up not eating properly, not taking care of yourself, sleeplessness and overthink all the time to how to come out from the damage you have done to yourself and ppl around you. You become numb by going through all this and you will no longer get excited for anything that happens in your life.

I am so glad I found this video. I have been gambling for the last 4 months and it has completely destroyed me. I was so happy before I started. I never had much money because I have always had an issue with spending. From Buying stupid amounts of weed to wasting money on clothes, alcohol etc. But Gambling has been the worst so far. When i started i threw in 100$ and instantly won 4000. This was the tragic start to the worst thing that has ever happened to me. I chased it every single day until it was all gone. I could not go a day without it. Still barely cant. I just recently took 4 days not gambling, i filled it with working out and it helped tremendously, except I broke today. I am now starting fresh. I want to be free and I will be. No more pissing away my hard earned money. We got this.

If I lose that I'll leave with that remaining $600. Still a heckuva day right? " Well next thing I know I'm down to $300 and my thought process changes to " omg I can't leave with a measley $300 when I had a really nice $800 three hours ago!!! I absolutely HAVE to get that $500 back!!! Then I'll be back to $800 and THIS TIME I'll leave ( supposedly ) " Down to $200, down to $100, down to $20. Need gas but say screw it, down to $0. After watching this video, I realise that most of our fears is the fear of losing. Think of all the things that you have lost in your life aswell as things you have lost to gambling. Losing makes you feel out of control. So we gamble to feel in control. Really, we are not in control but gambling is in control of us. That in its self makes us lose time, who we are. I believe that most gamblers feel that they are running out of time. We can do this guys, I believe we can.

To all you new gamblers thinking its just for now only a fun thing well let me tell you .I thought the same way 30 years ago and till this day I'm still doing it and its been on my back like a monkey glued to my shoulders all those years. The trick is walk away when your starting because the longer you wait the more you lose the more you lose the more you chase, the longer you chase the more you lose.
Its a horrible distraction and its a go to when we feel empty weak even when we are happy and becomes a habit with out you realizing the future damage you are causing to your finances especially close to retirement. Imagine if you had all that money you threw away to fuel a stupid short lived feeling or urge. This vid is the only new refreshing way of looking at a problem and getting to the root cause. In my life time I have sacrificed so many things and for what?

Once we solve the underlying unsolved feelings we are seeking distraction/compensation from, through gambling (like for example the feeling of not being enough), then there won't be any addiction to the distraction of gambling anymore either. When I was a child, my dad ( gambling addict ) took me and my brothers to casinos, bingo halls, etc. We had to stand outside of the rope, where the gambling machines were. At bingo, he even let me dob the cards as a 10 - 11 year old. It was a different time back then and I think he knew the owner. So they let me do that. Anyway, putting a naive, impressionable, easily manipulated child in that environment is hideous. Two of us three brothers became massive gambling addicts, as soon as we were of age. Not a coincidence obviously. I have a ton of debt right now and it makes me sick. Wish he had waited for mom to come home from work, then go gamble by himself. Leave us kids out of it. What a horrible addiction. Absolutely financial obliterating, stressful, depressing, life destroying illness 😭

Is not easy and people who don’t experience it don’t understand that once you are addicted and you are playing, you are not in control anymore your brain and emotions take over your reasoning and you just can’t stop. Is horrible and eventually no amount really satisfies you. I remember thinking.. if I can win 1000$ playing black jack with this 300$ I’ll be so happy and stop for a few weeks. I remember winning one time 1300$ with 200$ playing black jack and I couldn’t stop 🛑 thinking I should go now and not being able to. It’s actually a horrible feeling. I hate gambling. When my dad passed away I wanted to occupied myself, but as I get to casino it went from a 5 bucks to 1000 of dollars wasted. I won 11k in casino and that what motivated me to go again even more money out. This has been the most devastating thing in my life. I have been trying to stop but it’s so hard. However, there are so much things we can do.

I can stop gambling for a month, 2 or 3. And then feel really good about it. But at some point I’ll get bored when I am alone for too long. I want to achieve more financial success and gambling seems like the easy way. Even though I know that you’ll never truly win, I sometimes think back about the times I did win and start to believe it’s possible. Even though I always end up losing. I think in total I’ve lost about 70/80k euro. I make a good salary, bought my own house recently. But still struggle with gambling. I know when I am out of money and manage to not get in debt. But still hate myself for previous losses. I work my ass off to then still gamble my savings. I feel so dumb sometimes :/

All this time I have rationalized gambling when in reality it made me irrational. I am now driven by my own impulses despite my original personality is that of an INTJ, but right now, it constantly changes my personality and I think my gambling habits is the cause. This is not my first time trying to stop doing gambling and as much as I hate to admit, I have failed every time. I feel like I have slowly lose all my conscience as time passed by. At first, losing money even manageable ones, hurts me. But right now, I don't feel anything even losing the money I can't afford to lose (even money that was entrusted to me). I admit, I am a compulsive gambler. I want to change. I want to stop gambling. I want to save myself. I don't want to betray other people's trust anymore. Gambling deals heavy blow to me right now but I'll prevent it from destroying me completely. Wish me success. If I do, I'll come back a year later.

Sorry to hear about "our" problem that all who are viewing this video, share. A few months ago I was close to suicide after a terrible string of losses... You can turn this around, but the key is to give others whom you can trust access/control of your finances. Right now you are addicted and will invariably gamble at the first opportunity. In time and with the support of others around you, you can beat this!! As we speak I am 5 and a half months without a gamble and the first step was getting a close friend to "look after" my bank card and hand me money from time to time as I needed it.... I hope you are well and that you haven't lost your job.... Gambling is a slow, long-term, progressive killer, but you need to get some people close to you who care for you to assist, so you can take the first steps to becoming gamble-free.... God Bless you Sir and I pray you can make it through this dark time :(

I’ll lose 5 grand and it will sting in the moment but 10 seconds later I no longer care. I remember when I was younger losing 100 would destroy me, now I wish I only lost that much. Im completely sick to my stomach. I don’t sleep until 6 am every night. I sneak away from my friends and family and my girlfriend just to gamble. Here's the thing if you win like let's say one or two k and two weeks later it's gone and you dont remember where it went and you know you didnt buy anything or use it for something else, you have a problem..even when I win I feel like I still lose because the money recycles back into gambling.

My solution to my gambling addiction is not to have money with me. Occupy myself with a healthy hobby. Mix with friends who are against gambling, like church friends. It has been a month, I.4.2024. that l have started on this blissful journey.. hope all of us can break away from this dreadful chain..got to come to our senses..we can never beat the casinos

I have not got to the point where I have put my family in a financial problem. Luckily I have extra money to blow but at this point my wife has noticed and it’s got to the point where I live paycheck to paycheck and we can’t get ahead because I blow every bit of extra money we have. After I lose and don’t win I literally feel sick of why I did that. Does anyone else feel like this? I love my wife and don’t want to lose her but when I drink I can’t stop.

Had the same feeling today when I lost 400$ . Put me in check and made me realize there are far better things that can give the good feeling . Try trades on stock market only thing that has given me that amped feeling from winning .

Same,I quit because i dont want to loose my gf,thank god she never knew about this, its never too late, just think about people who love you and ask yourself is gambling worth loosing them...
i had luck that i didnt lost too much in total and it never hurt my finances as i made lots of money on ethereum, but if i continued i would probably loose it all and ruin my life....

i am gambling adding and had some therapy to stop it, i wasn't disciplined enough to follow it thru however i psychiatrist friend of mine suggested i have adult adhd: being bored too quickly, impulsive behaviors, not being able to focus to difficult tasks or not being able to finish them.... i had tests and it turned out i have adult adhd. for so long i thought adhd is jumping up and down the bed, it is not. if you are a gambling addict please check if you have adhd symptoms
