I prefer everything coming out of the dealership all set up like this. All the hard work is done for you and best of all everything is all under warranty.

I think Nissan has come up with a good idea here.
Once upon a time I would have probably liked to cherry pick my own accessories but now I don't have the time and I no longer feel the need to have the very best off road vehicle that I can get.
If other brands go down this road then reviews such as this will keep the competition going, various brands will soon see which accessories are the most popular and use them which will make people feel less inclined to research and fit for themselves.

It's a nice looking and highly functional truck. The fact it comes straight out of the factory would give me comfort in knowing that the experts have it sorted for me. I saw the factory tour and was impressed.
Extra kit - Snorkel plus diff & transmission breathers. Maybe something to keep my gear in the tub safe & secure while parked. Otherwise I think she's pretty nice.
Dream wish list - A nice V6 turbo diesel would potentially transform this machine. But this motor is tried, trusted and reliable.
By the way I have owned the Pro 4X for about a month, and thus far it's a ripper.

Great looking Ute overall. But, at 2:46 of the vid, you can see straight into the tub between the tail light and the side of the rear gate.

    600m wading depth, that's epic!

So I noticed in your video that you put the wading depth of 600m? Does that mean it's a submarine

Love it but needs a 3 hoop bar for added protection. would be a great option.

I'd like some answers relative to off-roading, ie, Does it run away down hill in low first? Can I select any gear in low range to start, say Low 3rd start? Does the diff lock function in High range? Is there room under bonnet for a 2nd battery? What is the low range reduction? Perhaps less spiel about tyres and more pertinent facts. But, glad to see it put up a decent stepped climb, which does give an indication of performance.

I don’t like the YS23 too many problems with dpf and egr. I prefer the updated YD25, most pacific countries have the YD25 on em.

It maybe a more capable 4wd than the standard model but it isn’t a hardcore 4wd.

@d t Y61 Nissan Patrol is a hard core 4x4 even in stock form and has a proven reputation in Australia as a hardcore 4wd.
Let's take a nav and a patrol off road and see who gets further when the track gets rough.

You could buy a mint condition low kilometres y61 nissan patrol for 30 grand less... than put that 30 grand towards a new car for missus or 30 grand worth of accessories to make the patrol even more reliable and capable offroad.
