I feel as if season 3 is setting up Lexi to be the lead character. I feel like with character development and plot we got more from Lexi than Jake and Devon. And with this episode specifically Lexi really got her moment when she killed CHUCKY. Also since season 3 is setting up for Caroline to go the serial killer route I think think season 3 is going to be a lexi focused season. I think it’s really interesting that season one lexi was the most repulsive character and then in season two they mad her very like able and definitely had the most interesting storyline out of the main trio in season 2
There should have been more episodes or longer ones because they kept introducing us to characters with potential like Nadine, Bald Chucky, Buff Chucky, the therapist, and Jennifer Tilly, then killing them off right away.
It was and it is a garbage series the Same stupidness like seed of Chucky, curse an cult of Chucky, Don Mancini he Just can't create something different something dark he uses the same stupid humor like the movies, The only movies that worth are Childs play 1 till 4 all the rest are garbage including the series!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
I'm going to miss Nadine... She was a fantastic addition to the cast and she brought a lot of positive energy to a very depressing situation which is extremely rare in the horror genre.
Nadine was destined to die the moment she was introduced.... i knew a perfectly nice innocent girl like that was an absolute snack to Chucky. It always makes me uncomfortable how far he would truly go he has no limits
2 conspiacy theories: 1. There was no belle doll, it was always a chucky doll in drag 2. Before Gary died, he thought it was all an elaborate game; seeing the belle doll made him realise a little late that the situation was real
I wonder if the whole time while thr group was at church was the chucky that Caroline had manipulating her all along. Which has me thinking that the doll locked up in the therapist safe was planning this stuff for the past three weeks with the doll that Caroline had.
Just one thing, when Lexy beat the Belle doll, repeatedly, the wig and contacts would have to hold on mighty tight, but it’s ok it doesn’t have make sense nothing in the show really does🤣
It’s possible to say they’ve planned to make Caroline a killer since season 1 when we see a flashback of chucky and the therapist looking through pictures of the teens but considering she’s young and more manipulative they went for her instead of the teens
The Belle doll was a callback to bride of chucky, the Belle doll was literally just a different heavily manufactued doll at the time in their world along side good guys. Chucky trapped Tiffany in one before she gave herself a makeover to look like the tiffany doll we all know and love. There is no "drag" to this he just posessed a belle doll for the long game lol
I loved this season. It was very clear to me that the Belle doll was Chucky from the very beginning and he was talking to Caroline throughout the season. Just like in the first season. Which is why I found Caroline's twist believable. Plus, she had this weird vibe from the first season.
Most of her actions point to her being autistic and nonverbal and the chucky doll is her special interest and helped her talk That's why the parents were obsessed with Caroline having the doll because this is probably the first time she has actually talked in a while
Yeah, no, it wasn’t. Just because the doll was quiet (while looking nothing like the Chucky doll) doesn’t make it obvious. That twist was pulled from nowhere
It would have made so much more sense and been sooo satifying. They could have snuck out before the nurse got back, or got in that big suitcase with the Glen doll so no one would have seen them involved. Glenda was Glen's alter-ego, not the dominant personality after all. So why not have them as their own person? And then take care of Glen in England? It's hard to imagine that little guy running around and getting by!
I think she did that because she has a lot of dirt on her. The kills would have got her locked up. Might as well get rid of her body before they caught on to her.
In regards to Nica this episode, I think you have to understand that she has been physically and mentally tortured for what I assume is a year maybe a little more. In Curse, she found out Chucky disabled her and saw him murder most of her family and at the end she went a little mad. In Cult, she was being hypnotized for knows how long by the evil therapist and found out her niece was dead thanks to Chucky and then got possessed. In the show, her arms and legs were cut off and after one of her tormentors supposedly died (Chucky but we all knew he wasn’t really dead) just when she thought she was about to get rid of the other one, she was cheated out of that. So can you really blame her for snapping and wanting to torture Tiffany until she kills her? I’m not saying that’s what I wanna see, I’m like you where I wanna see her rebuild her life and be happy but I also understand why she might not be there just yet.
also note that the kids were wondering if they would become just like andy and kyle with no jobs or life while, unfortunately nica became just that. :(
I love chucky boi but feels like he goes way too nit picky on so many things and agree with you 1000% if there’s a third season nica deserves to be prime focus, I can’t stand Caroline’s character and just hope like Alice she gets a mention and is just killed offscreen
It definitely had much faster pacing like you mentioned, but it did kind of help I think. I don’t know why, but I really liked buff Chucky, and I do wish they had him a little longer. Overall, I think this was I pretty good season! You could say I’m thankful for it😂. Thanks for covering it all season 3C!
Mr. 3C, there's an Easter egg in the combination on the vault that the Good Guy doll is in in Dr. Mixter's office. The combination is "110988." That is 11/09/88. That's because the first _Child's Play_ was released on November 9, 1988.
Chris you’re right. I too am a die hard Chucky fan, and I feel the exact same way. You’re not alone. lol I will give the Nika storyline some credit as maybe she was so traumatized from the torture that it changed her nature & now she’s obsessed with her revenge.
Rewatching seed I didn’t think their soul was split in half, I originally thought one of the two babies would be possessed by Glen/Glenda’s soul while the other remained safe. This whole time I thought Glen/Glenda from seed were one person, I didn’t think they split themselves into two separate individuals. But I’m glad it answers my questions to if Glenda was biologically still Jennifer and chucky’s child and Glen being the child of Tiffany and chucky.
Yeah I guess that could be confusing but I knew that’s what happened because of how much they emphasized on their split personalty in seed. So I figured that was what happened at the end when I saw two twins and one was evil acting and the other was scared. Because they emphasized on how one side of them didn’t like killing while the other side kind of took pleasure in it like their parents.
I couldn't believe that twist of lexi's sister being with Tiffany that took me off guard. As far as a new season or new movie i don't think we'll ever see another Chucky movie. I think we'll continuing to see seasons for however Chucky lasts. I would love another movie but i don't think we'll get one. Also Chucky saying he always comes back man did he prove that these last 2 episodes. First we thought he was died when Andy shot him up and it turned out he put his soul into that therapist. And then we thought Chucky was died when lexi killed him and then it was revealed that he was secretly that doll Tiffany needed but i like that.
Chris, the bomb in the first episode wasn't a regular Bomb, it was a gas bomb. They don't explode the same. Also, it is the same belle doll from the opening because of that and Dr. Mixter gave this doll to Caroline as a final last resort if needed. The doll wasn't alive for three weeks, Tiffany accidentally brought Chucky back to life.
If Tiffany brought Chucky back to life then how do you explain Chucky convincing Caroline that he's her real father, that had to have been taken place throughout Season 2 for that to make sense. For Caroline to turn evil by the finale.
I first saw Childs play when I was in Elementary school, and although the Chucky movies scared the daylights out of me for years, I never wouldve thought I would love it the way I do now. With that being said, I loved this finale. It was sad for me seeing glen/glenda's corpses on the hospital bed, abandoning their human form, but seeing them as G.G was amazing. Especially with the OG VOICE ACTOR BILLY BOYD! Watching this series, made my hate for Seed turn into a small dislike lol Lexy has turned into one of my fav characters now and she kills her emotional performances. When her mom apologized, I knew she was going to end up dying. The ending was really cool with the multiple twists. I had a feeling something was going to happen to Caroline, maybe chucky pulled a Nica on her but nope, just brainwashing her. I loved when Tiffany's transfer didnt work and seeing Caroline's face as Tiffany performed it, solidified it for me. Also, Ms. Fairchild, I hope you are a good guy! Cant wait for Season 3 if its greenlit.
Sam's lol, I first saw it like when I was really young, I wasn't in school yet, but yeah, it also scared the crap out of me but now I'm into horror and I love it alot
I agree with everything you said except for the Nica part. This girl has been terrorized and tortured for years by Chucky and Tiff. PTSD makes some people go crazy. So I 100% agree with her wanting revenge. Just like at the end of curse when she was leaving the court house you seen that little crazy in her come out when she was talking to Chucky.
There were two things I hated in this season. 1. Nadine dying and 2. Glenda going into the doll too instead of giving us Glenda taking care of Glen in the doll. I loved Lachlan as Glen/Glenda and wanted so much more of them. 💙💀💙
That would have been amazing. Hell, what if they learned how to swap souls, even without performing the spell. That would have led to so much confusion and so much fun. ... We could have also got a return of the ventriloquist act now with the two siblings! Seriously, Don... You wrote those two out far to soon.
I noticed a parallel in the first season when all of nicas limbs were cut off it zoomed out with her screaming but now she's plotting revenge so it zoomed out while she was looking out the window and now she's laughing
I mean I feel in a way chucky is similar to Freddy Krueger. He has became a campy character throughout the whole franchise, I have to give it to Don Mancini and his ability to really continue a story through the series, while also embracing the ups and downs. I just really love being along for the ride❤ Starting the countdown to season 3
It’s also silly for 3C to group anything campy in as being seed of chucky. It’s been a campy series since the first film. Idk where he get this idea that the first chucky was a hyper serious slasher. Chucky without the camp is how you end up with the Hamill child’s play movie
I appreciate 3C and his opinion I just enjoy that Chucky is one of the horror icons who is still a horror icon but can still make me die laughing in between the horror moments, is seed of chucky the best in the franchise...maybe..maybe not. But the fact that Don Mancini embrasses it is a really beautiful part of his story telling. He's trying to satisfy every person who has been with him since Childs Play.
We need a third season because I’ve been wondering about a few thing like where is Andy mom where mike Norris where is Rondal Tyler and what Is doing to happen next and what is the deal with Lexi sister
The one connection you could make with the twist at the end is from the very start of the season when the theropist gives Caroline the Belle doll. Knowing her history, this probably was her and Chucky's plan from the start, and this whole time when the Belle doll was with Caroline while the other kids were at the church, that's when she was being manipulated. yeah, i'll agree the twist with Caroline feels like a cop-out cliffhanger, but i guess the writers did all they could to conclude everything while also trying to continue the series
I hope we get a season 3. Seeing Glen the doll was just awesome, glad they gave them their British accent back again. Hopefully we see them again in season 3, if ever get one or possibly in a new Chucky movie.
Feels like they just close the chapters for Andy, Kyle, and Gigi. Now it’s all about Tiffany, Chucky, and the new trio. Also, their teacher has a history with chucky. We knew something was up with her
I'm sure they knew Nica did not want to shoot either of them, and understand that after all she's been through the only hard feelings are between her and Tiffany
I don't mind the ending of S2 cause its left open to interpretation. Like with Nica's revenge or what's happened to Tiffany, its left to alot of interpretation. I feel like it's defo setting up for a S3 as that would be so cool plus I like how Tiffany is still a caring mother and has much more humanity than chucky
I like how they explored more of Tiffany's bisexuality this season showing she had more female interests than just nica and that pole dancer from season 1 since that lady in the murder mystery episode slept with Tiffany in Jennifer's body idk if Jennifer (character) was also bisexual or not How Tiffany loved Nica wasn't healthy so wasn't her relationship with chucky who abused her. Tiffany was the way she was with Nica because she just wanted someone to love ans that would love her. She caught feelings for nica during the times when chucky possessed her also nica was wanted for murder ans had all her limbs chopped off so she couldn't rlly go anywhere outside the house anyway without help
Chris the next season will probably be following nica and being kind of like the cult and curse of Chucky era and that will then probably end with them killing off either jake,Devon, lexy or even Andy, Kyle or nica
Don Mancini has completely lost focus of what made Chucky, Chucky to begin with. I feel like people forget Chucky started off as a legitimate horror movie-series back in the 80s. Sure, there were always some humorous bits sprinkled in there, but the tone was much heavier and the movies took themselves seriously up until the Bride of Chucky era (which only happened because parody-horror was the "in" thing, with movies like Scream). At this point Mancini has almost entirely abandoned the tension of horror in favor of one-off ridiculous jokes. This isn't even Chucky anymore. There is no coherent plot, no rules, no seriousness. It upsets me that he advertised this show in a way that implied they were taking Chucky back to it's horror roots. That certainly didn't last. Why does he keep going this silly route?
14:00 if you honestly expect her to be calm and cooled after losing her limbs I know I wouldn’t you gotta think about that there’s a big reason why she’s not the same no more
Exactly my thinking and if you look all the way back to Curse when she was leaving the court room you seen some of that crazy come out when she was talking to Chucky.
I agree, but I think they might be leaning into that a bit too much. I just can't take Nica seriously with her noodle arms. If they give her real replacement arms I'll be on board with her revenge plot.
Season 2 was far more interesting than season 1. Yes it felt fast paced but with only 8 episodes I understand the rush. The way season 1 tied so creatively into season 2 without being obvious I found very refreshing. Caroline has been set up to turn evil since season 1. There is a common theme between all characters in how they are coping with trauma. The Belle doll at the end was not Chucky possessed for 3 weeks. It was a brilliant back up plan from the therapist. When Tiff did the ritual at the end, she brought Chucky back to life. Part of me wonders if Nica baited Tiff into doing that ritual since she hadn't yet done it in 3 weeks. Plus Caroline was busy reading the Voodoo for Dumies book like she was going to go ahead and do it herself. I still think Ms. Fairchild has a dark side. Let's not forget that she had "finger prints" at the scene of the crime in season 1 and how Chucky mysteriously escaped out of her locked cabinet... I can't wait for more Chucky to come! All I know is Funko needs to release Santa Chucky or holiday sweater Chucky! Thanks Chucky Boi!
Season 1 imo was mostly for how chucky and tiffany met and showing that their relationship was really toxic ans abusive (chucky fatshamed her a lot and killed a girl she made out with in front of her because he was jealous) ans what happened after cult of chucky with nica
I really enjoyed Season 2, and I like the fact that it was very different, chaotic, and unpredictable with many twists and turns; and yes there were alot of sillyness, it was so fun and entertaining that it make up for it
whats interesting is the fact that there are multiple spells, if tiffany used the switch spell instead of the posess spell chucky would have been in her body and she would have been in his body and that would have opened a whole new can of worms for a 3rd season lol
I’m pretty sure Tiffany doing the ritual trying to transfer her soul accidentally called chucky’s soul back (kinda like how GG brings them back in seed) since it was a good guy doll instead of a bell doll. As for Nica she has nothing in her life now besides revenge so the ending makes since to me.
I’d give this whole season a 4.5/10. Some good Chucky moments here and there like the chainsaw scene that were pretty good but still a “CW” ish show where they make it to be a drama more than a horror show. I need more dark and creepy horror like the the first 3 movies. Where you’re scared to see Chucky pop out of nowhere coming in for the kill. I enjoy the comedy, just not every second. Bring the blood, bring the knives, and bring the actual horror. Also, happy they brought back the OG voice of Glenn.
There are a few things, I want to point out. The ultimate goal of the Chucky TV series is to reboot the movies. Season 2 goal was to bring all the "Child's Play" universe together. Don said when the series was announced the goal was to expand the universe and relaunch the movies. I think this execution was not well thought out. It felt choppy and did weave the story together correctly. Let's review a few things 1. Dr. Amanda Mixter, she was Bree's therapist. Therefore Chucky, knew Bree's secret from the pilot episode. Chucky had a larger team working with him season 1. Which would explain, why Tiffany left the doll at the garage sale. She was the master mind behind the operation. I think we overlooked the fact that she was also Cross's therapist as well. There was a deeper reason why she gave Caroline the doll. Dr. Mixter may have been psychologically manipulating Caroline, while Chucky was grooming her. And this may have led Caroline to fall under the influence of Chucky. I think they planted the seed in Caroline, and it manifested this season. 2. The trio are officially the new Andy and Kyle. The season felt like the torch was passed down. However, Andy and Kyle will still be around. 3. Like, I said in my introduction, this series is to relaunch the universe. I think now GG will be a better-defined character and taken more seriously in the future. 4. I see Nica-Tiffany-Chucky having a three-way war based off the last scene. Nica is hell bent on revenge. Chucky and Tiffany destroyed her life. This would make a great S3 core conflict. I think Nica will save Tiffany from Chucky. This is going to be a great set up for S3 core conflict. The trio should have a limited or secondary role in S3. 5. Talking about the trio. Am I the only one who thinks Ms. Fairchild has a history with Chucky? Like an indirect connection to him. During season 1, she hinted at knowing something. But in the S2 finale, she was like I figured. She knows more about Chucky than we think.
If it's a connected universe, then the Kincaid couple from Bride of Chucky has to come back next season if it gets renewed to have the Chucky survivor group come full circle.
@@AlexStrife89, I was thinking about them as well as the survivors from Andy's bootcamp. To see how they would fit into the larger scheme of the series. Remember there was a survivor group in the Saw franchise. Maybe there is something similar here as well. Especially those who went to the military school with Andy.
Once again, you are spot on any recap. I feel exact same way about the season. Hopefully they get renewed for season three by if not, at least and it with a movie.
Im glad they showed us how Chucky put himself into the therapist, also explains why when the doll was dying it didnt sound like Chucky :) got some beautiful brutal stuff thats awesome xD GG is a straight up Gremlin but its great to have the doll back, hopefully we get more :D knew Chucky was gonna be back just wondering how, at first I thought maybe he possessed Caroline, but it seemed like its just her being an insane girl, then I thought he was in the doll but since it wasnt a Good Guy doll I doubted that, the reveal was brilliant :D sad its done now hopefully we get more stuff soon
As far as how much influence Doctor Mixter had over the events of season 1. Although she did give chucky the advice it ended up being chance and manipulation that drove Junior to the edge with Tiffany kissing his dad and chucky exploiting this making Junior think his mom killed herself over him cheating
I actually enjoyed season 2. I agree it was entertaining through out and never lost my attention. I do wish there was a more horror element focused, rather than comedy. I remember being absolutely terrified by Chucky when I was younger. I want that feeling again as an adult, where I can laugh with Chucky on screen and also be scared every time we see him. This was a great review and I honestly cannot wait for a season 3 or possible movie!
The plot twist at the end was fucking great. Chucky manipulating yet another kid and implanting trauma is darker than it seems. Like what I said in a comment on a previous video, CHUCKY has fragments of HALLOWEEN and that has been proven with Dr. Mixter being of no use as a psychologist to her patient. CHUCKY rising up once again in the final seconds of the finale is Don Mancini doing his own take on the notion of evil never dying, just changing shape. There's so much more room for stories as suggested by the end of season 2. That being said, CHUCKY 2 is great and on par with the first season. It's where the fun begins as it forgoes simplicity and just embraces bold ideas and executes them. It's very confident, and the unpredictability of every episode is amazing to experience. Not to mention that there's sense to the chaos unleashed. It's ambitious but never crumbles under its weight.
I’d be down for a Nica/Lexy team up for the main POVs we follow. They’ve always had my attention for the most part with this season. Glen/Glenda had it as well, but I could see them ending back up in the doll. If they only put Glen back in the doll and had Glenda in human form, then they would hold intrigue for me, but now it feels like their story is all tied up nicely.
I think they made this season like this for a reason. Season 1 was more like the Child’s Play movies, season 2 was more like Bride and Seed of Chucky. If they do get greenlit for a 3rd season it may possibly feel more like the Curse and Cult of Chucky movies
I think that season 2 is definitely my absolute favorite from the franchise I think Don did a fantastic job with all the behind the scenes work and the effort that was put into doing this second season. I love all seasons 1 and 2 I will be owning the toys and watching this when it comes on Dvd
Things that I kinda got irritated by in the last episode: - How old was the Therapist when she first met Charles? Because... she looked like a babysitter? But then didn't age when Charles aged? Was she in love with him? Why were they dancin like that? I feel like I am missing out on so much information. - Burning the cop in the hospital room would IMMEDIATELY trigger the fire/smoke alarms. Tiffany wouldn't have time to perform the voodoo ritual. - You're telling me that EVERYTHING got covered in blood when Chucky chainsaw'd Lexi's mom, but Tiffany stayed spotless clean. - Lexi picking up the chainsaw means that her fingerprints are now all over it, painting her as the murderer of her mother since Chucky's dollhands won't leave a trace on it. - Lexi is super fast at showering, good on her though. Otherwise the cops would be very suspicious. - Nica deserves way better than revenge.
I would be happy with either a new season or a new movie but if they ever end the chucky series for any reason I want to see andy vs chucky (final battle) maybe andy sacrifice's his life to save the others and make sure chucky is really dead saying the line friends to end before they both die kinda book ending the series Tho that's just me
I'm pretty sure the Belle doll was Chucky the entire time and that he was alive the whole time as well. The events of the series have shown us that Chucky can play the long game, so he could have been doing all sorts of stuff behind the scenes. The death of Dr Mixter was kind of a ripoff. We were shown a whole lot and very little all at the same time regarding Chucky's backstory that we didn't see last season, and then it's gone. At least we have a good idea of who mailed Chucky to Andy at military school.
I think the last episode could have served as the finale and then they should have waited to do this one a few days before Christmas and seen as a special. It could have even been longer than a normal episode. They could have also just made it a Thanksgiving episode. That dinner table scene is what Thanksgiving is all about.
I really hated that both Glen and Glenda were put in the doll, instead of just Glenn. Then they literally get shipped to England, never to be seen again. Like Don Mancini just wanted to get rid of them as quickly as possible, even if it makes no storyline sense. Also, did anyone else find it stupid when Lexi stopped Chucky from killing Tiffany? I know that was only so that season 3 could happen, but it is kinda unrealistic. She could've let Chucky kill Tiffany, THEN kill Chucky. Sure they would still have Caroline and the Belle doll to worry about, but it would've been a lot easier without Tiffany in the picture.
i think this season had some higher highers compared to s1 but it also had much lower lows while s1 was more consistent in tone and quality, and them setting up plot points like the tiffany doll holding andy hostage, the jennifer doll and colonel chucky just to be dealt with and finished literally an episode later in a 1 minute scene and bringing back the seed type of humour and camp really bought it down, but there was still bits and pieces throughout the season that was enjoyable, glen and glenda being some of the biggest highlights
That episode was amazing 🔥 i loved how the safe code was the release date to the original Child’s Play. I really liked the last few episodes of this season.
Big props to Chris for the honesty. People absolutely went nuts for this season but I honestly thought it was quite hit or miss. Didnt LOVE a tonne of it but it had gold to be mined. Absolutely did.
Mr. 3C, there was a loose end I hoped the Season 2 finale would resolve. We remember how, near the beginning of Season 2, human Tiffany wakes up and finds the severed Tiffany/Belle doll head in the bed. I thought we were going to find out who put it there. Was it Dr. Mixter? Was it Col. Chucky? If it was Col. Chucky in Jennifer Tilly's mansion, why didn't he just kill her then and there? It makes me wonder if Don Mancini just forgot about that. 😢
If it was after Episode 1 then it was probably part of the Bell Doll that blew up, or the one that Chucky Replaced(he had to get the Bell Dolls outfit from somewhere). Chucky also doesn't really seem to want Tiffany fully dead. I'm positive he enjoys killing her, but I assune he likes to make sure she has her Soul in another body first. Otherwise he couldn't utilize her as much as he did.
Remember in episode 4, it was revealed that Glen and Glenda knew about Nica months before their birthday and was working on breaking her out. They brought her the arms during that time. Nica working with Chucky was able to move around without Tiffany knowing.
I called it, I knew the red head science teacher would come back in the last ep. Does Nica still have some Chucky in her, will her and the Chucky doll tourture Jen Tilly into s3? I knew the little sister would be a dark twist. Hope Andy comes back for a better arc.
They should get someone to reign in Mancini when he goes all seed mode. This needs to be more focused on horror and just use his one liners for comedy.
This season either needed to be longer or the episodes needed to be longer. It seems like they rushed through way too many plotlines to set up for another season or movie. You introduce a bunch of characters and then kill them all off so 90% of what they went through meant nothing. I feel like they should have spent more time at home so the pay off at the end would have made more sense. Or at least give us some scenes at home with Caroline of her talking with the Belle doll. Nika also had Chucky in her for quite some time so that killer instinct could rub off on her, but you forgot Tiffany also cut off her limbs and kept her captive. She's a fugitive right now, so she has nothing left to live for, but revenge.
A big question is how will Chucky’s story really end? The entire franchise at this point feels like a never ending story with there being a new Chucky hidden somewhere. Anyone else think closure is needed at some point?
I agree that there will need to be closure at some point. I don't know if a passing of the torch, or death of Chucky is the better route. I think a good way to end Chucky would for them to say he's split apart an transfered his soul too many times, and that he can't do so anymore, which leads to the last "finally Chucky" dying in 1 last movie. Whether that's after Season 3, 4, 5, etc. IDK, but I hope it happens someday.
I am pretty sure when chucky finally is about to die he will try to find a successor/replacement to continue his kills just like in Halloween Ends with Michael Myers.
I too immediately thought of Batman & Robin when Chucky pulled out his credit card! How the hell did he get a credit card? It would’ve made more sense if he was using the therapists card to buy that chainsaw.
I feel the season had a great run...but the finale felt a bit underwhelming with less Chucky and more Christmas. I love Christmas as much as the next person but I came for Chucky not Christmas with the kids.
I completely understand, Chris. My favourite T.V. Show in the whole world got some movies. I hated the look of the most recent movie so much and hated what they were doing with it so much that I didn't even watch it and that I'm trying to ignore it exists and forget it exists. I know exactly what it's like to hate the most recent installment in a franchise you absolutely adore. I don't blame you for not enjoying this season of the Chucky T.V. Show or the season finale, whether you hated it or not. If I judged you for being disappointed in the most recent installment of a franchise you deeply enjoy, I'd be a complete hypocrite. Whether you like what you review or not, you're a brilliant critic and I'm extremely proud to be subscribed to you
Agreed! I certainly wanted to love it, but it’s got so bonkers that all suspense or drama is gone cause there’s no rules or consequences for Chucky & Tiffany; they’re gonna die and be resurrected somehow almost instantly.
I absolutely loved this season, I do prefer the first one but this one did not dissapoint me. I don't think Chucky was dormant for 3 weeks btw, I think he was actually dead and Tiffany put his soul back into the good guy doll when she tried the voodoo spell
@3C Films: I honestly just hope they can keep the show going for as long as possible. Chucky is one tough SOB, and I don't want to miss a single one of your reviews of the Chucky series.
@@thesandman6618 I know but it's not fair that What Caroline gets to do we won't be able to have seen how it went with Alice. It's not the same to say she's dead, than seeing how it lead to her death.
Nothing happening to Lexi, Jake, or Devin annoyed me. I think it's time to get some new characters to follow if there's a new season. Or just follow Tiffany and GG
honestly i thought week to week (minus one slow down week) the show was constantly keeping me invested and on the edge of my seat. i can completely agree the finale felt a little too chaotic, but i was all here for it for some reason. mouth agape most of the episode, every kill this season (minus one’s partially off screen) we’re amazing, i loved the setting and how they utilized it to talk about the trios lingering issues from season 1. there was some campiness and a lot more comedy than your typical horror flick, but i think that’s what makes chucky stand apart from the other, typically more silent, stabby stabbers.
For me I love them doing the seasons. Better budget, and more story. I just wish we had longer episodes. But maybe the reason 8 is the number so that the budget could be bigger in how production and actors could be in
See thats been my biggest complaint, the major amount of Kill-Offs to these really atrong characters. Buff Chucky can punch through a human, and Bald Chucky managed to kill over 60 other Chuckys. But they got killed off so fast
There was no reason to kill off Glenda's human form. Now they have to explain how GG is making it on their own as a doll when Glenda could have taken care of Glen. Why put them back together when Glen didn't want to be a killer, and was fine with being a doll? It would have been perfect.
@@OoOMonkeyCoFreakOoO Sure if that’s what they want, to have much less freedom, nightmares and conflicting urges and people abusing them as the doll. They could have still been together with the doll and human form where they didn’t have to depend anyone else and could get around easy. Now how are they going to live on their own as a doll? Or did that not go over? LOL!
Agreed. Season 3 will probably be more Lexie focused since she'll move heaven and earth to save her sister Caroline from Tiffany.
Nah,
S1 Jake strangle "final" Chucky
S2 Lexy slice "last" Chucky
S3 Devon ?🤣
They all lowkey killing now at first they wasn’t
I still don't like Lexi I hope Chucky gets her for the way she acted in season one no forgiveness
For me it should be jake cause lexi is already the main character in season 2 ❤️
There should have been more episodes or longer ones because they kept introducing us to characters with potential like Nadine, Bald Chucky, Buff Chucky, the therapist, and Jennifer Tilly, then killing them off right away.
It’s chucky most don’t last long around him
It was and it is a garbage series the Same stupidness like seed of Chucky, curse an cult of Chucky, Don Mancini he Just can't create something different something dark he uses the same stupid humor like the movies, The only movies that worth are Childs play 1 till 4 all the rest are garbage including the series!👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
And Nadine
@@Thanossi grow up lol
@@Thanossi yet you're still here watching content about it
I'm going to miss Nadine... She was a fantastic addition to the cast and she brought a lot of positive energy to a very depressing situation which is extremely rare in the horror genre.
ikr she was my favourite charcter and she just died so early. like why
Nadine was destined to die the moment she was introduced.... i knew a perfectly nice innocent girl like that was an absolute snack to Chucky. It always makes me uncomfortable how far he would truly go he has no limits
2 conspiacy theories:
1. There was no belle doll, it was always a chucky doll in drag
2. Before Gary died, he thought it was all an elaborate game; seeing the belle doll made him realise a little late that the situation was real
That's literally what happened in the new epi
I was immediately spoiled with Billy coming back because of the credits 😂
Me too. I literally screamed when i saw his name in the credits because i knew what it meant.
I was mad that he came back
Same I knew he was voicing the doll again because of the opening credits.

I loved this season. It was very clear to me that the Belle doll was Chucky from the very beginning and he was talking to Caroline throughout the season. Just like in the first season. Which is why I found Caroline's twist believable. Plus, she had this weird vibe from the first season.
Most of her actions point to her being autistic and nonverbal and the chucky doll is her special interest and helped her talk
That's why the parents were obsessed with Caroline having the doll because this is probably the first time she has actually talked in a while
But Chucky wasn't the Belle doll from the beginning.
Yeah, no, it wasn’t. Just because the doll was quiet (while looking nothing like the Chucky doll) doesn’t make it obvious. That twist was pulled from nowhere
Chucky wasnt the belle doll from the beginning. This season was so bad, it may very well have screwed up any chances for a season 3.
@@mj5080nope he just magically looked identical to the belle doll due to lazy writing lol
I can't stress this enough
I wish they just put Glen in the doll and kept Lachlan as Glenda 😭
SAME
It would have made so much more sense and been sooo satifying.
SAME or let glenn survive and made another copy with both of there souls inside the doll
I KNOW SAME! I'm gonna miss seeing Lachlan 😭 especially as Glenda!
I think she did that because she has a lot of dirt on her. The kills would have got her locked up. Might as well get rid of her body before they caught on to her.
What if Chucky already is possessing Lexi’s sister and only said those things just to mess with Lexi’s emotions? That be interesting.
That can be possible cause in S1 Chucky did Do the encantation While Caroline was In bed with the goodguy tommy doll

@@bootyfloof true 👍
Yeah this isn't the Curse Nica. This is someone who has been through hell and back. Looking forward to more of her.
I love chucky boi but feels like he goes way too nit picky on so many things and agree with you 1000% if there’s a third season nica deserves to be prime focus, I can’t stand Caroline’s character and just hope like Alice she gets a mention and is just killed offscreen
Preeeeeeeeaaaaach!
Yea the way they took out buff chucky was lame.
The season only felt like it flew by because most the season took place in the same setting where the last season had multiple areas
Mr. 3C, there's an Easter egg in the combination on the vault that the Good Guy doll is in in Dr. Mixter's office. The combination is "110988." That is 11/09/88. That's because the first _Child's Play_ was released on November 9, 1988.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that
They did it also in cult of Chucky when Andy is opening his safe
He was too busy hating to notice 😂😂😂😂
I thought they were going to kill the cop the same way chucky did to the dr in the original.
Also, the day he died
At first I felt how you felt about the season but episode 6 7 & 8 made me absolutely love this season
Don’t be suprised if they do make a movie shows get canceled sometimes
I'm glad billy boyd came back to voice glen/glenda/GG!
S2 was actually pretty good, I liked it as much as the first season!
@@naturistfred Caroline said that she had been faking ever since she first met Chucky which means she was like this since season 1

I loved Lachlan as Glen/Glenda and wanted so much more of them.

im glad i only watched 2 episodes this season cause i enjoy your recaps of each episode more
I noticed a parallel in the first season when all of nicas limbs were cut off it zoomed out with her screaming but now she's plotting revenge so it zoomed out while she was looking out the window and now she's laughing
I mean I feel in a way chucky is similar to Freddy Krueger.
He has became a campy character throughout the whole franchise, I have to give it to Don Mancini and his ability to really continue a story through the series, while also embracing the ups and downs. I just really love being along for the ride❤
Starting the countdown to season 3
It’s also silly for 3C to group anything campy in as being seed of chucky. It’s been a campy series since the first film. Idk where he get this idea that the first chucky was a hyper serious slasher. Chucky without the camp is how you end up with the Hamill child’s play movie
I don’t understand the chucky fanbase y’all hate seed of chucky because of comedic chucky but praise these shows with comedic chucky
I appreciate 3C and his opinion
I just enjoy that Chucky is one of the horror icons who is still a horror icon but can still make me die laughing in between the horror moments, is seed of chucky the best in the franchise...maybe..maybe not. But the fact that Don Mancini embrasses it is a really beautiful part of his story telling. He's trying to satisfy every person who has been with him since Childs Play.
When Freddy goes drag we can make this comparison lol
3C Films: "It pains me to see longtime _Chucky_ fans get so mad at me. I'm just being honest."
Mayor Cross: "We don't do that at the dinner table."
We knew something was up with her
They closed there chapters temporarily. I got a feeling that Andy and Kyle and gi gi gon come bacc
I wonder if she is somehow connected to the survivors from bride of Chucky... Would be interesting if that couple came back.
I actually kind of like that even though she accidentally shot them, G.G apparently has been calling Nica once a week
I'm sure they knew Nica did not want to shoot either of them, and understand that after all she's been through the only hard feelings are between her and Tiffany
"Colonel Chucky could've been an evil version of chucky" -3C films 2022
I love how Mixter’s safe code was 11/09/88 for November 8th 1988 the day Charles Lee Ray became Chucky
I like how they explored more of Tiffany's bisexuality this season showing she had more female interests than just nica and that pole dancer from season 1 since that lady in the murder mystery episode slept with Tiffany in Jennifer's body idk if Jennifer (character) was also bisexual or not
How Tiffany loved Nica wasn't healthy so wasn't her relationship with chucky who abused her.
I'm ready for Season 3..Don Mancini,got me on the edge..I want more...Chucky!!!!
Don't forget she was raped all this time too
Season 2 was far more interesting than season 1.
Lol yeah if you think seed of chucky was the best chucky then you def think chucky season 2 was any type of good
I really enjoyed Season 2, and I like the fact that it was very different, chaotic, and unpredictable with many twists and turns; and yes there were alot of sillyness, it was so fun and entertaining that it make up for it
whats interesting is the fact that there are multiple spells, if tiffany used the switch spell instead of the posess spell chucky would have been in her body and she would have been in his body and that would have opened a whole new can of worms for a 3rd season lol
Exactly like when she brought him bak in Bride
Let's review a few things
They spoiled the Billy Boyd reveal in the opening credits. I wouldn’t have done that
I think they legally have to credit him, especially is they don't do credits at the end.

Agree, Dr. Minter was the mastermind behind it all. Especially with her being Bree and the Cross's therapist.
“Are we all goin to England?!” Lol. Agreed 100%. This season kept my attention but was all over the place and rushed.
I try not to be overly critical of Chucky because I’m just grateful to get as much Chucky as possible while Brad is still alive.
As soon as I saw Caroline with the knife in Season 2 Episode 1, I knew she was evil and even going into this episode I knew
Definitely wasnt a downer i think you were correct in your opinions with this one we need a movie with some satisfying tie ups
You're right, I also felt that this season was rushed! sucks that they went with a seed of chucky vibe to it and not horror..
I think they made this season like this for a reason. Season 1 was more like the Child’s Play movies, season 2 was more like Bride and Seed of Chucky. If they do get greenlit for a 3rd season it may possibly feel more like the Curse and Cult of Chucky movies
I'm glad I wasn't the only one with the mindset
This season felt kinda lukewarm.
Was all over the place
I think that season 2 is definitely my absolute favorite from the franchise I think Don did a fantastic job with all the behind the scenes work and the effort that was put into doing this second season. I love all seasons 1 and 2 I will be owning the toys and watching this when it comes on Dvd
Things that I kinda got irritated by in the last episode:
- How old was the Therapist when she first met Charles? Because... she looked like a babysitter?
I would be happy with either a new season or a new movie but if they ever end the chucky series for any reason I want to see andy vs chucky (final battle) maybe andy sacrifice's his life to save the others and make sure chucky is really dead saying the line friends to end before they both die kinda book ending the series
Tho that's just me
I'm pretty sure the Belle doll was Chucky the entire time and that he was alive the whole time as well.
Mr. 3C, I really liked how we went to a hospital this season it reminded me of last season especially because of the kill.
That episode was amazing 🔥 i loved how the safe code was the release date to the original Child’s Play. I really liked the last few episodes of this season.
Absolutely insane finale. I can’t wait for season 3 now that it’s announced.
What a finale ,loved every minute
We need season 3 like... right now 🥺
This is actually the first time Chucky used a chainsaw in the franchise
'where have you been all my life'
Big props to Chris for the honesty. People absolutely went nuts for this season but I honestly thought it was quite hit or miss. Didnt LOVE a tonne of it but it had gold to be mined. Absolutely did.
I REALLLLY hope that there's a movie next.
Same
I hope so too. Plssss
I will really miss Glen and Glenda as humans
Same
They should get someone to reign in Mancini when he goes all seed mode. This needs to be more focused on horror and just use his one liners for comedy.
Or, how about it is his show and he'll make it the way he wants?
@@salvatorestabile5547 Sure thing man.. it's just an opiniom
Agreed I mean why can’t the Good Guy company just close down at the very least
Probably after Mancini is dead. Probably won’t be for awhile.
Or this show finally gets canceled.
It was kinda funny tho
I feel the season had a great run...but the finale felt a bit underwhelming with less Chucky and more Christmas. I love Christmas as much as the next person but I came for Chucky not Christmas with the kids.
There's definitely gonna be another season
Whether you like what you review or not, you're a brilliant critic and I'm extremely proud to be subscribed to you
Cris, I have a feeling it'll be a season 3. I also have the strangest feeling Nica's gonna contact Andy and Kyle.
As someone who had to catch up from the last episode to this one, holy fuck, this was a bloodbath
Nadine too was the best part of this season love her too bad she did not survived
My opinion ; I wanted Tiffany to switch to the the new doll. Bald chucky should’ve stayed till the end and did sum kind of battle with chucky .
I really hope that we get a third season
@3C Films: I honestly just hope they can keep the show going for as long as possible. Chucky is one tough SOB, and I don't want to miss a single one of your reviews of the Chucky series.
AGREED, Alice needs to have her fate shown!!! And im glad Ms. Fairchild is back.😊
Alice is already confirmed dead
@@thesandman6618 I know but it's not fair that What Caroline gets to do we won't be able to have seen how it went with Alice. It's not the same to say she's dead, than seeing how it lead to her death.
@@lovenhate108 She’s dead.
@@ChuckyBoi88 iknow that but they dint show how it all happened, which is unfair.
This finally BLEW MY WIG CLEAN OFF 😩
i wouldn’t mind getting a season 3 but I’m really eagerly waiting for chuckys return to the cinemas 😅
Same
I prefer a show, we get alot more that way
For me I love them doing the seasons. Better budget, and more story. I just wish we had longer episodes. But maybe the reason 8 is the number so that the budget could be bigger in how production and actors could be in
It was removed due to the terrible Glen character.
These days Glen is worshipped by the Woke, so it's very possible now...
@@PajamaMan69420 no it’s so slow and boring
See thats been my biggest complaint, the major amount of Kill-Offs to these really atrong characters.
Buff Chucky can punch through a human, and Bald Chucky managed to kill over 60 other Chuckys.
But they got killed off so fast
There was no reason to kill off Glenda's human form. Now they have to explain how GG is making it on their own as a doll when Glenda could have taken care of Glen. Why put them back together when Glen didn't want to be a killer, and was fine with being a doll? It would have been perfect.
They literally wanted to feel whole again and never be apart.... Or did that go over your head?
@@OoOMonkeyCoFreakOoO Sure if that’s what they want, to have much less freedom, nightmares and conflicting urges and people abusing them as the doll. They could have still been together with the doll and human form where they didn’t have to depend anyone else and could get around easy. Now how are they going to live on their own as a doll? Or did that not go over? LOL!
