TIM ALLEN!! I watched this video on Friday afternoon before leaving to fish a kayak tournament in N Central Arkansas. I was fishing a new body of water in 100°+ temps. I tried your dock shade pattern, and got my 1st win ever! Thanks, Tim! You're the best! Adam
I've honestly had to cut maybe 2 or 3 frogs off in the past 8 years. They are really snagproof if you don't just wrench on them to get it out of a tree. Try to use the momentum of the bait and pull straight back on the line (like you are playing tug-o-war). Helps pull the frog belly down over branches so the hooks don't catch.
Usually this is caused by lobbing your casts- try keeping your bait down close to the water's surface- it will land much quieter and it won't end up in the trees. There are videos here online that show you how to cast properly- which I realize seems really intuitive but- I fished for years and I was still doing it wrong. Learning the proper technique and practicing it until you can cast smoothly, efficiently, and accurately- really helps.
This is by far my favorite presentation by you. Concise with effective forward motion (rather than circling back too often). I learned a ton. Thanks so much, Tim.
Who else gets fired up when they already found out one of the clues 2/3 days before tim tells everybody ,defs helps confidence. We appreciate the info always big dog
I like best fishing and I like trout fishing I'm from the lake Isabel area in California I'm new to crappie fishing and I wish you would make a video about crappie fishing and the rods and reels to use and if you know anything about lake Isabel helped us out
Can you guys do a fishing break down on a clear highland reservoir, such as Laurel river lake? And go through everything baits spots certain times of the year everything great videos
Everytime I watch Tatical Bassin. My new lure bill goes up on VanDam Warehouse on-line. Last time 5 Strike King Hybrid Hunter Jr's and 3 Rapala Shallow Shad Raps in 3 colors. Also 2 River to Sea 120 glidebaits. The 2 packs Of Agent E's in bluegill color. Maybe, I will buy a giant spoon, or another 🐸. 🤔 Shawn.
I'm curious if you guys can do a video on what to do after a lake is sprayed. Alot of the lakes around a 1 hour drive has alot of houses along the banks, and they spray every year it seems like. Always disappointed and discouraged to fish a lake like that but it's what I have to work with.
I'm still working on all techniques, over the years watching TB,I been able to catch them in all conditions up north here, but the flutter spoon ( bigger ones) is something I need to add to my arsenal this year,
Went fishing this morning, UPS dropped off a new flipping rod yesterday so I was definitely wanting to try it out. Caught 7. Spro Chad shad, D-Bomb, zman crosseyes 3/8oz green pumpkin with berkley the deal trailer. They were trying to kill that gold blade. Was a good morning of fishing here in WV.
Perfect timing on the video for me. I've been doing well in the shallows on my lake in central Florida, but wanted to get better in the deeper water. I'd like to try the flutter spoon, but the ones recommended seem expensive. Any thoughts on a budget option?
So when Tim says he has 4 or 5 top baits to show you, he actually means 4 or 5 top baits for EACH of his 5 rods he will be using. That’s 20 top baits! Ha!
i went out on my lake yesterday and it was just too hot to fish. so i spent the afternoon just running to different areas graphing spots looking for fish. found some spots with them and some places with nothing.
Time to set the RUclips playlist list on TacticalBassin then throw the phone on the passenger seat while driving from Lake G to Lake Chickie to work in Chattanooga.
This is a great list 👍🏼 I hope you didn't miss our smallmouth baits vid in May... and there I'd some great smallie content right around the corner as well 😉
@@tacticalbassin my main frog is usually a vega frog from 6th sense or a kaera and my combo is a lews mach smash 7:1 gear ratio with an fx customs 7’1 med heavy fast tip and 50 lb seaguar smack down braid
Yeah. You're not wrong... we work pretty hard to protect those Borthern fisheries. But there are a handful coming, we've got a couple quick trips planned. 👍🏼
When I go out I can catch. But going on you guys advice and experience I seem to catch more caulity fish. I think as I learn u will get more and with size fish. Thanks for sharing) James
Definitely gotta agree with Andy. Senko is my go to in my pressured ponds. But if you have the gear for it, throw a 6” mag draft. Man there are days I can’t even buy a bite. Then I go throw the Mag draft and start catching em. It’s quickly become one of my confident baits in these ponds. And I usually only catch 1-2 1/2 lb fish.
I have been watching the videos for years and want to get a new crank rod , but have seen the intenza and the mojo bass glass talked about in a lot of videos . Do you have a preferences between the two ?
I've just started using some flapping frogs and I'm missing a ton of hook sets. Are yall doing the standard frog set(let it take it under then drop the hammer) or more like a buzzbait (it grabs it and you send it to the moon)
Maybe You, Tim, or Matt can answer this question. Every year when summer comes around and there are bluegill bream and fry everywhere... I tend to to struggle with getting bit along with 99% of other anglers out on the water. What do you throw or technique do you use when you're in this situation when all they want are those baby bluegills?
It's tough with our families and filming schedules. Kids in sports, travel, etc... but be assured we will be fishing together again really soon. 👍🏼 We just got home from a trip but it was for fun, no cameras went with us.

Oh, trust me, I have no issues whatsoever getting a frog hung up. I seem to be a bit of a tree magnet. 😢😂
Facts. I spend more time on. My kayak collecting my ow n. And other peoples baits out of trees than I do fishing from it 😅

Tim has come a long way! Like how you have slowed down talking- makes a big difference. Nice job.
Good presentation Tim, great information. Causes a person to "think" about his surroundings more.
Such good advice - just messed up a summer tournament- wish I had watched this before 😊

Very good video. (I learned a few things today , thanks. I think I get more info from your videos than anyone else

I'm fixin to go hit my ponds now,I appreciate this video
Any Icast 2023 release review coming?👍
Always with helpful videos. Keep it coming.

If it’s not a Nichols flutter spoon I wouldn’t get it. Budget options just don’t act as well in the water IMO
Thanks!
Oh boy here we go again y'all are going to get me in trouble I'll be going to tackle warehouse 😂
wow wow very very nice video✌❤❤❤
Catching bass, That’s my favorite technique 😂
Maybe you guys can tell us whats the difference between a 7 foot mh vs a 7,6 mh heavy. What is the benefit of the longer rods?
So when Tim says he has 4 or 5 top baits to show you, he actually means 4 or 5 top baits for EACH of his 5 rods he will be using. That’s 20 top baits! Ha!
I want to know what expride that tim is punching with!
What gear do you need to have to throw spoons?
Hey Tim, whopper plopper worth the price vs Berkley choppo?
i went out on my lake yesterday and it was just too hot to fish. so i spent the afternoon just running to different areas graphing spots looking for fish. found some spots with them and some places with nothing.
What hook do I use on the plastic frogs?
Y'all know what time it is! It's Wednesday, 5:30 AM 🕠 Central Time, it's TacticalBassin time!!!🎣 LET'S GO!!!👊🏻💪🏻🙌🏻
🙌
😮
Most in depth channel on RUclips thank y’all fellas
Time to set the RUclips playlist list on TacticalBassin then throw the phone on the passenger seat while driving from Lake G to Lake Chickie to work in Chattanooga.
Can we get another frog video? I don’t have trouble getting blowups anymore but hooking the fish has became a problem I used to not have.
It's likely the frog you've chosen or a gear issue. List your bait and combo and we'll be happy to help you solve it.
This is a great list 👍🏼 I hope you didn't miss our smallmouth baits vid in May... and there I'd some great smallie content right around the corner as well 😉

@reelkingsNqueens that is true a frog really comes in to play down here in south ga at lake seminole, orange lake, etc
Yeah. You're not wrong... we work pretty hard to protect those Borthern fisheries. But there are a handful coming, we've got a couple quick trips planned. 👍🏼
So why cant I use a frog with the clear line that comes on my pole?
What I the water is to dark to see bait fish?
When I go out I can catch. But going on you guys advice and experience I seem to catch more caulity fish. I think as I learn u will get more and with size fish. Thanks for sharing)
James
Which Expride was that for punching?
the really ,really ....really expensive one. 🤣
❤❤❤❤❤
Don't worry, someday I'll make a video for you guys on how to retrieve lures snagged and hung.
Lol I'll definitely watch that one
What is a rod for 6 inch flutter spoon?
I've used a swimbait rod, specifically Dobyns Fury 795...seems to work pretty good for flutter spoons
Ive been fishing a very pressured pond and I don't know what to use I haven't been able to catch a single fish
Wacky rigged or weightless, weedless senko type bait...works everywhere, on any body of water
I am a tree magnet to your not alone
Far as the flapping frog just use zman hardleg frog same thing but a lot cheaper
I have been watching the videos for years and want to get a new crank rod , but have seen the intenza and the mojo bass glass talked about in a lot of videos . Do you have a preferences between the two ?
I live behind a pond with nothing but grass
I've just started using some flapping frogs and I'm missing a ton of hook sets. Are yall doing the standard frog set(let it take it under then drop the hammer) or more like a buzzbait (it grabs it and you send it to the moon)
If you can't see the frog, set the hook hard
And make sure you have a heavy enough Rod
I have no issues with normal frogs. I throw a mag heavy so setting hook isn't an issue. It's the timing.
Maybe You, Tim, or Matt can answer this question.

All my spro flapping frogs melted store where it's cooler i guess
Wassup guys???
I wish you both would just get in a boat press record and fish
I learn a ton just watching... Thanks

Super fluke for me
last time I was out I threw a Magnum sz Fluke & landed my PB smallmouth.
