Great video Gene! I am employing these tactics this weekend for MAYhem. I'd put together a few of the pieces, but seeing this, I'm confident I will get some upgrades on the Ketch board!
Thank you for taking the time to chit-chat while I was at work today! Let's go chase those river striped bass!!! They should be there!! no cameras just fun fishing!! GO DOGS!
I'm still catching 4-6lb bass in the spawning flats down here in TX waters been mud because of all the rain 2-5" visibility but jigging soft plastics { Watermelon red and black and blue seem to be doing good } in the lily's has been producing great fish for me these last 2 weeks. I believe there still hanging out in these locations because of all the high water and fresh creek water coming in from the rain. After the water clears back up to 1' + visibility I will probably move back out to the outer points.
Your videos have been super valuable to me over the years, thank you. I recently found a lake close to me that has me puzzled. In ohio, 3/4 of lake is 8ft deep or less. Upper half is full of grass. Most of lake has emergent lillies along the banks. Have had some luck swimming a lizard just below the surface, and of course using top water. My question what else would you recommend to try? Treble hooks are asking for problems haha. Not much workable water depth before grass.
Sounds similar to my local lakes here in tx, I would try chatter baits and swimbaits { what ever color works best in your area} 3/8 Carolina rig with soft plastics { flukes, baby brush hogs, lizards etc..} I like to peg the weight when fishing in grass or mats. If the bite is real tough try some weedless wacky rigs or something similar. This is what works for me in almost every grass lake I fish hope it helps.
@@Flukemaster yes , jus got my first gopro which is a 12 and after about 20 minutes with the battery in if overheats , and can't get it to work without battery using power banks
Just fished ur local lake west on Saturday and only caught 1 in about 2 ft water. Several boats and kayaks but no one was catching any. How do we go about reaching you for a guided trip
I was literally just saying that I need to figure out this new pattern. The bite turned off just as fast as it turned on. New England fishing can be tough sometimes.
Wow, you do know a lot about fish behaviour 🤩, very interesting, loved it, keep them videos coming 👍! Watching you from Kazakhstan 😉🖐
Love the yak setup, great video as always

How do keep your gopros powered all day ?
I install USB plugs into my kayak and run the power off my electronics batteries.
@@Flukemaster do you have the hero 12?
No, I just switch to DJI Osmo Action 4 cameras. GoPros were giving me way to many issues and DJI addressed most of those problems.

@@Flukemaster same, big fan of the Action 3/4's
