This game looks legit! I'm gonna give it a try!
I love these kinds of games!
I lost a good few hours playing that game, it's brilliant but I got so lost in it and so I deleted it again haha Momma ain't got time for that! 😂
@@sambrewer2306 not sure what happened, but I know it's easy to accidentally block people.. just a thought in the meantime
Stephanie Harlowe You look lovely in this video, great makeup.
You know what these old stories have taught me? Some things never change. People still murder, gossip is still huge, and media is still a circus. Great job as always!!! Love these old cases! ❤️
Megann Quebedeaux I really like the old cases too!
It's so true! The more things change, the more they stay the same. I really enjoyed this one. Terrific!
Or how when people say "things like this never happened back in the good old days." When....yes they did.
It so crazy how Albert thought he was so old when he was in his thirties. Times are definitely different.
I think part of it might have been his attitude as well, as he didn't want kids he might have used the excuse of him being too old as to why.
I’m 32 and feel quite young ...it all depends on your mindset and I guess how you feel when you look in the mirror.
Spiritual Barbie Ummm not really, people died in their 50s back then. If you lived past that you were very lucky
IDK, I'm 26 and boy do I feel old sometimes. My neck, my back.... haha
I thought the same.
This murder is embarrassing. I am embarrassed on behalf of them both.
All crime is an embarrassment when you know that the World is a Stage and every Soul on the other side can see you 24/7. Makes it really pathetic. 😕😞😧
@@lorimiller4301 are you ok
@@jubs96 basically everyone is watching
Died before they could get married!? You had ten years!
I know, right! Lol
I wonder if she had cancer or something?
😂😂
I would say that is suspicious. Maybe she didn’t want to marry him? Maybe he was dead set against having kids and she wanted kids?
CR spring17 I was wondering if he regretted never marrying her and that was part of the reason he couldn’t let her go and he married Ruth so quickly.
My thoughts exactly 😂 like they were engaged for 10 years?? What the heck
"she asked him to call her mommy or mama"
*insert grossed out Clint Eastwood face*
Literally so gross😷
The bit with the pin leading the police to Judd is so insane.
RIGHT?! It's better than fiction.
So spooky - it’s like Albert & Jessie conspired to get justice for the murder...😳
Exactly! How ironic!
Okay the second Gray started screaming "mommy" Ruth should have killed him instead. Although I would like to read a comic book of Granite Woman and Putty Man, sounds very old fashion DC.
HAHAHAHAHA!
This pen with the dead fiancé's initials has helped solving the crime miraculously, in a nearly supernatural way, that's truly fascinating! --- But Albert hanging this huge picture of his dead fiancé into the living room everywhere they've ever lived symbolizes a big slap into Ruth's face. - I'm not surprised they didn't get along very well at all besides the age difference. Makes me wonder, if she had in fact tried to love him desperately; or did this only hurt her own pride?
I disagree about the slap in the face... how can you be angry at someone for still loving someone who died and didn't have the chance you have now? I think it's more fucked up to be jealous of the dead woman and to lack compassion for her husband who experienced such a loss.
@@ANPC-pi9vu You have a point, but I think there's kinda a big difference between remembering someone you loved and lost and hanging their portrait in a prominent place. I wonder if there were any pictures of Ruth anywhere, or if it was just the dead fiancee?
@@ANPC-pi9vu Jessie Guischard became a kind of sainted ghost in that house. When someone dies, especially suddenly and young, they acquire a halo and you can't compete with that person. She had to be jealous and all the more so because there was no competing with a dead person. He should have kept his love for the dead woman to himself and invested himself in the live one.
@@ANPC-pi9vu you can't move on to marry a woman while worshipping a ghost.
"Mommy, mommy help me!" So gross.
I know right 🤮
Bronwyn Gavin SO GROSS, and pretty humiliating
😂😂😂😂😂
The cringe is real and overpowering.
Who reported he said that
The granite woman and the putty man?? Sounds like a comic😂
Let's hit that like button and watch it! Love you❤
That gives this story an aura of great decadence, almost like a BDSM relationship. The truth was more like what someone else said: "The dumbbell murder -- committed by two dumbbells with a dumbbell!"
Man: I don’t want babies
Also man: has sexual relations
Baby born: 🤡
Also I love that the resentment of children isn’t equal at all. Like he didn’t want kids but he ESPECIALLY didn’t want a girl.
I love vintage crime cases 😍 they have great atmosphere and it's easier to treat them like a tale and not get too upset (which I struggle with at times with the crimes that happen around us) ^^
So true
Maybe tone it down with the heart-eyes, miss true crime
“Mommy, mommy help me!” had me roaring..omfg.

Stephanie Harlowe I just watched a 3 minute commercial for you because you deserve it Momma oh and it because it was HILARIOUS! it was for “flex” have you seen it??? The first sentence is “I like to f*ck” 😳 It was for women on their period but I have never in my life seen such a commercial! Thank God my child only uses RUclips kids! Hahaha
I must add that it bleeped the word though. It just went on and on for 3 minutes about how you can have sex while using it LOL 😝
@@janelle009 😂 that is hilarious
My heart goes out to little Lorraine Snyder and Jane Gray who must've gone through extreme grief and horror at such a young age because of the selfishness of others :( I can only hope that they were able to go and live very happy lives

You have a way of speaking on all these situations that make u think about more then 1 persons perspective and its very refreshing. I catch myself wanting u to talk about all the murders and mysteries I watch now.
Double indemnity is one of my favorites. Fred McMurray, Barbara Stanwyck and Edward G Robinson. Great flick.
I love that you shout out small businesses and how much you support other creators
It's kind of bittersweet. The way I see it, they all got what they wanted almost like a last wish? Before they all died. Ruth got best of both worlds - money and intimacy. Albert - scored a younger lady? Was no longer lonely (?). Judd - had a thrilling ride with a mistress and a traditional wife.
31:25 no punctuation in there at all by the way, no punctuation😂🤣
😂😂😂it was painful to read
Take a nail file and file the surface of the acrylic nails. Get some 100% Acetone polish remover and some cotton squares. You can cut them to fit over your nail and grab some foil. Tear or cut some strips of foil. Soak the cotton in the acetone and place over the acrylic nails, then cover with the foil and let it soak through the acrylic and glue. In 10-20 minutes, you just remove the cotton and foil and you should be able to gentle remove or scrub anything left of the acrylic off of your nails. It's the safest way to remove acrylics as it won't damage your natural nails underneath. It's a tip I picked up from other RUclips videos and it does actually work. Recently found your channel and I love it!
Oh, I love your vintage crime videos so far! They are as detailed as your other ones, and I just love the way your descriptions let us see the people in those stories very clearly. Not just as victims and perpetrators, but as people with lives outside of the dramatic events that we remember them by. That's what makes your channel special for me.
You should do a video about Marvin Gaye and how its believed he was a serial killer! I've surprisingly yet to see any true crime channels cover the story and it just now clicked in my mind how great youd be at at telling it. I've only been subscribed to you for a few months now but you've quickly become one of my favorite channels of all time out of every genre. It's blows my mind how clearly ,almost effortlessly and in-depth you're able to portray these extremly detailed cases!!You also have a such a calming voice which is a bonus. I also downloaded the game and I made my bf do it too.
This reminds of a story that could be in the musical Chicago! The fact that it took place in the 20's and also they crazy details like her hiding the jewelry under the mattress!
I have a friend who uses the phrase "cool motive, still murder" and I feel like it fits my feelings for this case. Everyone had their own motives and backgrounds but in the end two people chose to kill a man instead of just running off together, working hard to create a life together.
"Mommy, mommy, help me!"
Oh. My. God.
Second hand embarrassment at its finest 😂. Xx
I found your channel recently and I have watched every single one of your true crime/mystery videos and I love them all! You are such a wonderful storyteller, and I love your voice. The amount of time and research you put it really shows and I'm hooked! Subscriber for life!

Yessss. I've tried to watch other youtubers do crime videos and they rush through and tell me nothing new.
Joanna Saad Right??! I watched videos on cases I’ve heard before and she always mentions new info or stuff about the victim’s personal life that really tells you the kind of person they were.
Who dislikes your videos!!! Seriously!!! Your hard work is amazing
Haterssss lol
Stephanie, you definitely have a real talent for this. I have read about this story many times, but you have given it a clarity and pathos that I have not seen or understood before. You've taken two people who committed a horrific murder, yet in a way we are allowed to peek a bit under the curtain and feel a bit of empathy for both of the murders and the victim. Your research is fantastic and your delivery spot on. I enjoy these videos more and more each and every day!

@@teresahowick5197 😂😂😂😂
I really like the way you devote a segment of time to the ways we might identify with each character in this story. To make murderers the ones who shoulder all the blame all the time rubs me the wrong way because everyone has a hand in the way their lives turn out whether they want to admit it or not and, as a scapegoat myself, I am very sensitive to those people and human qualities that are blamed and shamed for the results of other peoples failure to take responsibility . Everyone wants to cry victim and punish someone else instead of taking their own power back . Proper story-telling is a very positive step in the right direction! Thank you for every instance that you practice this.
I really wish we knew what happened to Lorraine and Jane 😢
I have family that lived in New York back in that time. My family’s last name is Gray....I wonder if I could be somehow related or if my family ever came into contact with these people. It’s so cool to look back on those more simple times!! I love these older cases!! Thank you Stephanie!
Thanks for working extra hard on a bonus video this week, Steph. Can't wait for the next Mystery Monday! Also, for your acrylics..soak them in pure acetone, it breaks the glue down holding them on so you can easily remove them! ❤️

Why didnt he just married his original girlfriend i mean why stay engaged for so long i will never understand why people do that 10 years of engagement give me a break.
@Stephanie Harlowe, you are a breath of fresh air! I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates you covering stories from decades ago and going into such depth with the research. I find it amazing that murderers from years ago and modern day murderers have the same mindset. It goes to show you that it is, in fact, a psychological aspect instead of a technological aspect.
By the way, don't fret about your nails 😂 More of us than you realize can relate 😉
This case is really reminiscent of the musical Chicago to me.
Yes!!!! I didn't even think of that.
As soon as she mentioned Judd Grey's thing about calling Ruth "Mommy", I started singing "When You're Good To Mama", and thinking of Queen Latifah in a sexy gold dress... XD
I thought that too! I remember the 1 st song I ever heard from that musical was " All That Jazz" when I was in summer theatre camp. I love musical theatre.
"He had it comin, he had it comin!"
This story has always fascinated me and I've read all the details many times, but I love the way you tell it. It really brings it to life.
You should do a story on Jodi Huisentruit. She was a news anchor in Iowa that just disappeared one morning on her way to work, in the 90s. Really freaked me out, as it happened just a month or two before my sister moved to that town for college. Has always broke my heart, as they never did find who was responsible. Not a very well popularized case. Or maybe just not as popularized as I would prefer it to be. Would be interesting.
Stephanie,
You are fantastic at what you do. You convey yourself brilliantly and you're always on top of facts, dates and pronunciations. All the details that, when added up, portray credibility and integrity.
I always find ladies better at true crime shows, however, there is an unfortunate tendency of some girls discussing brutal, multiple homicides but making it sound like they're discussing their plans for the weekend or something equally as inconsequential. They smirk and smile and over gesticulate all the way through the video, unintentionally not giving the human beings at the centre of these tragedies the respect and dignity they deserve. You are guilty of NONE of these idiosyncrasies. Yourself and Cayleigh Elise are by far the most respectable and sincere in the genre.
Keep up the fantastic work, FR X
Yassss I can watch before lecture today 🙏🙏
Oh my gosh I’m so happy you did this story. I grew up on Bayfield, Colorado which is neighbors to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. Stories of skin walkers were rampant and the reason walking at night, especially or from my house which was a farm house not super close to others, was terrifying. It didn’t stop us from sneaking out though and we could often be found running as fast as we could, home in the middle of the night before the skin walkers could get us.
I love that you show your clothes that you have been getting not that you're pushing anything on any of us they're really cool catchy shirts and now jacket do your thing this is your Channel💖👏
So I had to do a project for sociology about a case where we believe something went wrong in the justice system. For me I chose The West Memphis Three because I had watched multiple documentaries on them. I searched it up though to get more details and stumbled upon your channel where I became addicted. I literally watch you everyday now. I actually ended up telling my sociology teacher about you because we both love ID channel, 20/20, dateline. And my teacher became super excited so she started watching you. So now when she grades papers she watches you and then the next day me and her talk about the videos and the cases. Much love.
You are seriously one of my favorite people. I wish I knew you in person.

I initially didn't recognize this story; I was pleasantly surprised that it was double indemnity. I recently have been watching through Billy Wilder's work, and really enjoyed double indemnity. I had no idea it was based on a real case!
I love your videos! You’re always so informative and I’ve learned so much from them, rewatching cases I’ve seen other people do and you go so in-depth. Also, I’m a nail tech and the best way to get rid of your acrylics is to let them sit in some acetone nail polish remover or file them off (or both, soak them in acetone and slowly start trying to file off the acrylics, but don’t go too rough or hard and definitely stop if it hurts so you don’t damage your natural nails)
I watch every night to wind down so soothing and interesting listening!!

Would you ever consider doing a video on the psychology of murder? Do you think anyone is capable of murder? I heard in this video you say that the guy normally wouldn’t have done it had he not met this woman. Interested to hear your thoughts on this matter.
I'd say everyone is capable of murder, it only depends on the circumstances and the motive(s).
