I did my g203 after 3 years of using. The only downside to do this method on mouses is that even with a soft pushing the bottoms dow you can click. I mean you dont need that much pressure.
But who cares, I enjoy my quiet g203 😂

They need to just make silent products. I bought a condo, my room has carpet but my desk is by a wall. Somehow my neighbors can hear my mouse clicks. Its quite annoying, i have been through 4 keyboards and 3 mice. I got a laptop equiv. keyboard ultra silent and a logi silent mouse. I really dont know how they can still hear my mouse. They somehow feel or hear the feedback of the clicks even with the silent mouse. Going to try this, I have done everything from pads under my table legs to padding under my keyboard and mouse pad. Also the kid is autistic so maybe he just can hear low frequency noise.
