Hey Shaun. Yes a bit of a work around, but got there in the end. I think its teething problems from the last firmware update.
A word to the wise from someone who didnt think . . .when you update your drone make sure you check all your settings. I normally do but in my haste to go and shoot a job yesterday I forgot. The update had change my jpeg/raw settings to just jpeg (not a huge deal because jpegs out of this drone are normally good) but it also change AF to MF so what i thought was a sharp shot was soft. This was an 80 mile round trip to the client and back. Luckily for me the height i was flying made the slight blur acceptable and I was able to sharpen in Lightroom but ALWAYS CHECK EVERYTHING after a firmware update

Yep, good advice, I always check the saftey tab first then do a work-around all the other settings.

@@nobby-green You’d think DJi would piblish a statement on why or when we can expect the update. I can’t find anything regarding why there is a delay. It’s been a week since other devices have received the 1.13.1 update. The lag time seems inconsistent with past releases. There must be bigger problems than just the “P” mode display. Shaun The Drone thinks so too. Waiting for this is like watching paint dry at low temperatures…

@Nobbygreen. can you check if you can select manual bandwidth(10, 20 or 40mhz) when you select manual frequency(2.4 or 5). it seems that with fw 1300 this was available but they took it away with fw v1400. choosing 10mhz banswidth gives you better range and stability

I have the Mini 3 Pro and with that update 1.13.0 it changed my transmission setting from Dual to 2.4 hz everytime...I updated to 1.13.1 and hopefully that also was fixed

That’s good to hear. This is why DJI send out these interim updates to fix certain issues. Not everyone suffers the same as me problem 👍

Thanks for the update. Good to see that you are one of the few on here using Imperial Settings. Everybody should realise that the standard for World Flight is recorded in Feet. 👍
Youre Welcome. Yes one of the reasons i use imperial is i like to see the speed in MPH, and not M/s. Can be off putting if you are trying to convert on the fly. Thanks
Great work Nobby, i forgot to mention in your previous video, when you take off the drone from your car window, what about the home point, would you just set the update home point as normal even though your sat in the car?

I turned on my RC and was immediately shown that there was an update available.
Nice. No interaction with my iPhone was necessary but it was sitting near the RC.
I also noticed that RC V1.13.1 allows file transfer directly between RC and Phone.
From document on DJI Forum.:
"Supports updated FlyShare for fast file transfer directly from remote controller to your phone."

There is as bug with 1.13.1 and the Mini 2 on iPhone fly app. If you try to tap the album button, the fly app crashes immediately

Can anyone tell me if the DJI RC works on the mini 4 pro? I have the RC and I thought it would work on the mini 4 but I can't connect it.
No they are not compatible. They have a different occusync 👍
Dors this firmware turn off RID when a normal battery is used?
I can’t answer that as here in the uk we don’t have RID at present but I’m sure someone will answer for you 👍
I think as long as your close to America RID stays on always

I seem to have a disconnect............when I go into the setting on my RC controller I see nothing like what you show, there is a check for updates and a check for fly safe data, but no such thing as a Turn on Auto updates. When I do the check for updates it processes and tells me it is updating to v01.03.14 of something like that, nothing close to 1.13.1.........and it runs the update just fine with no hitches and then if I check again it tells me my fireware is up to date. Am I missing something on how this works?
Go to profile then about. You should see in that section check for updates. 👍

After the update 1.13.1 complete, I cannot connect DJI RC2 to my computer by USB Type-C Cable. Have you checked that function yet? and Please help me how to solve it.

I am planning to buy dji mini 4 pro from Thailand since there is no dji store in my country nor warranty. Can't we use the drone without any updates just ignore updates? This would be my first drone ever and I don't care for updates because they only worsen when time goes on
Problem is if you have a problem with your drone the first thing DJI will ask is are you running the latest firmware 👍

@@nobby-green I do have both the DJI RC 2 (Mini 4Pro) and the RC Pro (for the Mavic 3Pro)... the latter has been updated to v.1.13.1 (on April 17th) so I was informing you that it is available for the DJI RC Pro. The DJI RC 2 still (at least this AM) did not show the availability for the Fly App update -> v1.13.1 ... still on 1.13.0. (1120-dpad) and still as I just checked again. Strange but true.. on my iPhone and iPads the Version number is 1.13.1 Thank you for all your nice and most informative videos and take care! Max (NL, so not imperial LOL).

@@nobby-green it won't keep steady in parallel track anymore, it goes crazy, it's more of an orbit..
Perhaps it's a fault with my unit.

My DJI mini 3 pro rc storage need some space to download the update... how to fix this problem... how to free space... there are no videos and photos in the internal storage... but still I need 200mb of space to download this new update... how to fix this
Try looking at your cache under profile settings then storage. It may need clearing 👍

@@ClassicTrialsChannel No because software installation is done on the internal storage of any device...but I found the solution...you will need to connect your RC to your computer(windows or mac) then download DJI assistant 2 software through it you can flash the software .. otherwise there is no option

Their updates seem Never Ending. It gets old and my drones were flying fine before all the BS!
This is so convoluted people have no clue as to the fact you are giving DJI permission to install apps of their choice at any time on YOUR device. Shady, Corrupt comes to mind.
I'm sure this is an oversight on DJI's part, and will probably rectify itself in the future maybe the way the android system is working at the moment. Yet another firmware update! haha.

Depending on what country you are based in it’s part of the drone laws to keep your aircraft updated with latest firmwares. Plus you get benefits of added features from time to time 👍 also some users have problems with their equipment that firmware’s fixes thanks 🙏
People prefer to overpay in order to subsidize DJI's military and Industrial divisions. It's a horribly inefficient, outdated business model.
