From a safety standpoint, it doesn't matter that it touches. It's the negative cable. Technically anything you bolt on the metal parts of the car are connected to the negative terminal so it's all good. From a visual standpoint, if that's what you find annoying, then yea, that's different. If it was the positive that'd be different. Not completely unsafe so long as it's well insulated, but could be an issue when disconnecting or the cable aging and making contact with the bar.
Thanks for this video. I installed this strut bar today on a 2022 Mazda 3 hatchback. No rubbing on any cables, whew! Easy 30 minute install...now I'm going to go test drive:)
Sikk vid m’dog. But what happens when you’re on some s***ty ass old roads going bumpidy clump and the whatnot? Does this strut bar make shitty ass life even shittier?
Got mine for $95 on eBay and love it! Can't believe how much it actually helped turn-in on my new '22 AWD Turbo! Also, no battery cable fitment issues on my turbo either!
@BenzinoGreed-zq1jr the car is actually pretty high to start and has a pretty stiff spring rate stock to help maintain ground clearance. I put Megan Racing FWD springs on mine and the spring rate is actually slightly softer than stock it's only harsh on very broken pavement and large potholes as it does drop the front quite a bit. But yes, the strut brace helps turn in greatly without hurting ride quality to me.
Keep the Mazda 3 content coming! I watch all the vids bro! :)

Any advise on a rear sway bar +end links for the Mazda3 2.5T sedan?
Nice driving. I was thinking about installing a strut bar on my 22 Mazda 3 hatchback.
Corksport seems good and the lightest I think.
Try thick sway bars and maybe thicker links if the factory ones are thin that will make a huge difference in cornering
Awesome video! How has the air intake been so far since installation??
Thanks! It has been awesome, throttle is so responsive. You can tell the car is breathing better.

Interesting. I was always skeptical about these, but maybe it depends on the car. Thanks for the video.
Will the same model of strut bar fit on CX30?
Excellent video. Thank you for taking the time to make it and being so informative.

No it doesn’t. The factory damper setting is so good, I haven’t had issues.
