  • What's up guys, AC went out and found that my Injen Intake was coming into contact with the high pressure AC line. So, this is how I replaced it. If you have any questions just drop a comment, I'd be happy to help if I can. If you're new to the channel, consider subscribing, and make sure to hit that like button. I'll probably be doing the Akebono big brake kit soon.

    To add to this video, for the g owners, the product number would be: 92440-am601. Z1 motorsports has them for 65$. The picture that they show is just a stock image in case it deters anyone. I sent 4 emails with pictures making Absoulutley sure that the piece is what it was supposed to be and they assured me it was. Not only did it come 2 days after order, (i also bought their silicone oem intake couplers) but it was the right part. By far the cheapest i found anywhere.

    Pretty sure this is what is wrong with the AC in my Z...after about 6 years of my intake tapping/vibrating/moving/etc against the AC line, it finally gave way to a small hole. Actually fixed it for about two years using some high temp epoxy/jb weld...but it finally gave way again so at this point I think it's just time to replace

Just need to wire up the external fogs from the non sport and install my 2 camera rear view mirror setup to go with my tesla screen. Your the man I can't wait to bring you my Bi@tch to put a new rear end in. Either that or it's ready for the air 2 air soho stillen suoer charger. Clutch feels great by the way and I still have those O2 sensors we put in wrong for sale and some wheel Hubs and bearings. Let me know. Stephen

    I need to remove my front bumper/rad/mount etc to do my timing chain, do I need to discharge the ac to unplug the lines from the ac rad?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  5 лет назад +1

      If the ac hasn't been discharged from a collision or damage to the condenser than I always have it evacuated by an AC technitian that I know. It sucks but if you just dis-connect the ac lines it leaks all that freon everywhere, stinks, bad for your lungs, and the environment. But to sum up the question, yes you need to evacuate the ac system before unplugging the hoses from the condenser.

    Good job! I did a ac compressor, condenser and dryer install on my Z. The weird part was I thought I had bent the high pressure line while removing the old parts, but upon looking up images on the internet, I found that those " kinks" were actually part of the routing design. Weird.

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  6 лет назад +1

      Z33 Garage Yeah, these high pressure lines were designed kinda dumb, they should've made them in 2 pieces, not one long piece from the firewall all the way to the condenser lol. But thanks for the support man, much appreciated!

    I was just filling my lines the I had the same AC line pop from where you press it in. Do you think it could be that the lines were clogged and the spring might be bad or have you heard of any issues that were similar?

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance  4 года назад +1

      It wasn't clicked in completely or the spring is missing. Make sure you can't pull it out without the tool when you press it in.

    • @fullthrottleperformance

      Take it to an AC shop and have them put it under a vacuum for at least 15 minutes. That way there's no air or moisture in the lines, then they'll put the correct amount of freon in.

      @@fullthrottleperformance I did this, but it caused the pipe diameter to narrow and therefor becoming a reducer. The pipe is now icecold right after the weld, and AC is not doing much. Make sure the dent, which it was in my case, isn't too big, then welding should do the trick.

    • @fullthrottleperformance
