- This is an overview of the re-work that I completed to add realism and additional detail for a limited edition 50th Anniversary Nautilus model from Disney's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea".
The process involved completely reworking the LED lighting, cutting into the interior via the battery compartment, grinding out a lot of resin thickness, fabricating a scratchbuilt interior, reworking the paint finish, and fabricating a new stand.

Awesome work on your Nautilus builds. I’m building a static 31” resin Disney Nautilus for a customer and your videos have been extremely helpful. It’s exactly the same as the ones you’ve turned into rc’s except it has white metal parts as well, don’t know much about it other than the owner paid a lot of money for it back in 2001. I’m doing a build series on it and gonna try your painting technique. Thanks so much, you’ve really helped me.

Impressive and awesome Nautilus!
You do fantastic work !
Fantastic job Bob. You are one very meticulous modeler. Enjoy the day. Ray L
Wow, didn't know you did this. I like that table. Feel free to light the exterior of the model dramatically for maximum effect. You know we're going to.
Looks great!
Wow, I have this! Purchased it when it came out. Ever thought about selling a salon and wheel house kit? Got a X-Plus die cast as well. One of my favorite craft.
Amazing.
Dear RCSubGuy! I want to make a Gato 1:72 RC conversion. What kind of elektro motors would you recommend for this model? Thank you.
Awesome. Is that a sinking nautilus I see in the background? And if so I cant wait to see that diarama
Have you done a Tasty Large scale version ?. This is nice but
Tasty? You're after a chocolate version? ;) If you search my channel, I have TONS of builds of the Nautilus in 77th scale, 48th scale and 35th scale, both for static display and for full RC operation.
Bob, as an actual organist (check my channel) I’m deeply offended by the imitation organ music and Bach would’ve been even more offended that his Toccata and Fugue in D Minor wasn’t played correctly either! LOL!!
Now onto more serious issues, have you ever had the desire to build/sell a model of the world’s first nuclear powered submarine, the USS Nautilus (SSN-571) ? Or have you built one?
Your work is superb!
