Amazing Nautilus model. Love this channel and 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea movie.
OMG!!!! I really want one. What a beautiful model. Congratulations on a fantastic job.
I love that THEME start--- it use to be that movies started out with spectacular music that let you know exactly what you'd see... what to expect and that is was a quality film... now adays-- can't tell diddly about anything. and most themes are like something a 3 year old would write on a keyboard at ahome.. GREAT VIDEO and super MODEl!!!! I want to do one..
Saw the Disney movie when I was a kid. A memorable experience!
I remember seeing this movie as a kid some 45 years ago, and I still remember it very clearly. This model is wonderful and makes me want to see the movie again.
Saw the movie in 1961. Always have remembered it since then. Amazing job Sir.
Great use of a classic film score. This movie jazzed me for life as a sci-fi fantasy fan.
Even after 4 years I still love this video!!!
Another piece of masterpiece👏👏👏Thanks for sharing🙏
Thanks for the video showing the great work that you do. I always loved this beautiful boat. I am so glad that I found your channel.
Absolutely incredible! What a fine job!
I was absolutely in love with this design of the Nautilus.
Lots of work and the owner will have something they will be proud of
Beautiful Nautilus.... I'm jealous. :-)
This model is incredible and inspiring. Bravo!

Nothing short of brilliant! Thank you for sharing. This model is on my bucket list. You are very talented. Beautiful work!
I grown-up with 20K Leagues, Johnny Quest, etc., and still research my 20K Leagues movie DVD almost weekly! Mason was meant for the Captain role..!!! Thank YOU for such a great build & showing this ~ splendidly crafted with 'oodles of imagination!' "...all this shall come to pass, ..in God's good time.."
That is truly amazing work!
Wow it is spectacular! An obsession.
Amazing work!!!
Nicely done
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! What a incredible if not fantastic job creating this classic submarine model from my all time favorite classic Disney movie. It was my dream to have this submarine model when I was a kid but unfortunately none were available at the time. Fortunately though, my dream finally came true when MASTER REPLICAS put into production a stunning replica to which I was proud to purchased one. But I must say, your version is a absolute beauty to behold....KUDOS to you Bob!
Really get a kick out of the ladders going up the stand. Cool touch!
fantastic great job
Absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your spectacular creation. So happy I found your channel.
That is amazing
Incredible! 👍
Gorgeous 👌👌👌👌
Félicitations, merveilleux travaille !
increible, felicitaciones
Just a marvellous boat !. What's it like sitting in the upper control room, whilst you scewer the opposition ?. Loads of shredded metal/ wood passing the windows. Exciting !. Going to look at your construction videos. Thanks master. Dave
Wonderfull !!!
Extreme Koolness
Nice!
Fantastique !
HERMOSO, pienso en El Nautilus e inmediatamente aparece la versión de Disney.
Awsome job looks great im gonna have to fully scratch build mine but will be fun just a suggestion add a small cargo container on the stand for all the loose parts styish yet funtional one that ties with the theme 👍
Your inspiring me to get my own model and build it from Masterpiece Models! It’s the 31” one they have for sale. Wish they offered this size!
This April, 2020, they have a 20% off sale, and two sizes. 16 and 31.
As of 3:52 this is one of the most beautiful models I have ever seen. I like this finish better than the all-rust type of finish. I feel like the Nautilus exterior in general seems too small for what's supposed to fit inside it.
Correct. The exterior and interior sets are not to scale. The wheelhouse, in particular, is grossly oversized for the interior set in the movie.
Awesome
I have always been fascinated by the nautilus. Where did you those figures of the men?
I must have one to build!
vraiment beau
Es un barco de lujo.
Amazing work Bob ! Where did you get all the lighting and controls for you sub ?
It' s a VERY BEAUTIFUL WORK ,Friend ...We are all ,specially Boys ,GREAT FANS of JULES VERNE and his UNIVERSE of WORLDS and INCREDIBLE GEAR which rocked us throughout our youth and which continues to do so, a pioneer, a precursor of modern technology like Léonard DE VINCI and this "NAUTILUS" is the most faithful and respectful image of this astonishing universe which has not finished making dream many generations yet. Congratulations on this MAGNIFICENT ACHIEVEMENT of a respectable scale, undoubtedly the most perfect for a model maker for rendering certain details. As you may have read, many of us would like to have the same in our living room or in a place privileged to exhibit it and take advantage of it but we will have to chomp on our brakes since such a model, on this scale is not available or try, just like you, to make it ourselves, with all the imaginable difficulties and the necessary time, a significant number of hours WITHOUT ANY DOUBT in order to approach the "perfection" which you demonstrated with this WONDER which is a PERFECT SUCCESS ...
The novel describes the boat
As being cigar shaped
With two compartments
Protruding above the hull ...the front
One was the steering helm
And the rear one was a
Searchlight
I remember as a child, I use to pretend I was Captain Nemo and sailed around my yard in my imaginary Nautilus, wrecking imaginary ships!
AWESOME and THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!! Where could I purchase a kit like that?
Cool
Terrific buildup as usual Bob. Where did you find the sound/lighting setup or did you fabricate this yourself? I am intrigued by the remote control function.
Can you recommend a 1/32 submarine kit. I am new to R/C subs but am keen to build one. Closest I have come to R/C is Tamiya 1/16 tanks. Appreciate your recommendation.
Really awesome. I an 75 Y/O. I saw the movie when it first came out. What is the purpose of the implement on the keel fin behind the divers hatch?
How come Tamiya or Trumpeter never make this?!, look how the modeller make the interior from scratch its freakin awesome!.
This Video is not available in Canada:(
This must be too Violent for Canada
dove si possono trovare i disegni per la realizzazione, grazie di un vostro consiglio
I'm confused. At 1:35 scale, 66.5 inches equates to a 194 ft full-scale, but the old Disney plan sheet indicates it's only 178 ft long. Does this have anything to do with that the Disney plans don't look big enough to scale with the people?
Correct. Disney made the interior far larger than the exterior. Disney Nautilus fans determined that an OAL of 200ft is far closer to what it would have been.
Give my scientists gills and chests of mollusk schnapps
Some know where can find out the brilliant man who make this model?
I need one for my born place, and make it happy at many people, here un the Cortez Sea, my born place is Rocky Point, Sonorean High Desert Mexico at 1.30 hs. driving time to Phoenix Az
I apreciatte any help....thanks in advance....Horace
This boat was originally mastered by Jim Key of Custom Replicas. It has been out of production for years and is no longer available. I will be releasing a 48" long Nautilus kit in the coming weeks.
Hello, is this kit still available? If so where can it be purchased?
Out of production for years, unfortunately. If you can find them on the aftermarket, they are exceptionally expensive.
Price of this model please.
WOW! as a HUGE, Life Long Fan of 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea both the Book AND Definitely the Movie, all I have to say is...
WHO Makes this, HOW and WHERE Can I GET ONE and How Much does it cost?!
They're out of production for years and as hard to find as ethics in a politician. I did just manage to come across one, brand new in the original box. They're not cheap! If you're seriously interested, please email me at bob@rc-sub.com to get the details. (we're talking $thousands, just to prepare you...
Is this built from a kit or did you scratch build it?
This was built from a now out of production kit , however the salon interior was scratch built, as were many of the small detail pieces such as the skiff hold downs.
The video "is not available" in the UK :-(
Hello - This is a stunning model. Too bad that the scale of the crew is a bit too big and does not match the sub's scale.
The crew are perfectly sized to the boat, sir. The issue is that Disney built the interior sets too large to fit in the boat they designed for thte movie (like many movies have done). The crew looks too big because the inside of the boat is too small, not because they are improperly sized.
HOW MUCH I SHOULD PAY TO BUY IT FROM YOU?
1954
X3
But where are the green lights. It had green lights in the movie
Mebee watch the video. They're featured at 0:21 and 7:45
Okay, now build a 1:1 scale fully functional replica.
I got the time if you got the money.
Cute but if you build it this small, how are you going to ride in it? If you're going to go to this much trouble anyway, just scale it up and build a submarine you can use for real.
cannot watch it
awesome! To this dsy i want a disney nemo nautilus. Bur for whatevere reason disnneycorp has NEVER seen fit to put a model kit on the market. It would be a BILLION DOLLAR seller. Disneycorp is stupid
Well, EFX did a limited release of around 1500 units. That was in conjunction with Disney. Billion dollars? You think? A movie from 1954 that only die-hard fans or old people will know of? I love it more than most, but it's definitely a niche craft.
I will buy that for 1,000$ dollars and then use it in my pool.
Lol... multiply that by around six times and you'll be in the ballpark.
Hey Bob, that 7 footer is freaking awesome, I had seen the one hanging in the bar but never knew it was at one time offered as a kit. Here is my 6 footer in work with the propeller I got from you on the back. thanks allot. ruclips.net/video/O0R_lyUHHY8/видео.html
