how do you know if your car has Apple CarPlay? I have 2014 E350.
@@mariahughes6690 The first E-Class to support Apple Carplay was 2016-2017 models. So, unfortunately, your car doesn't have it.

Does this work with iPhone or only Android?
IMPORTANT: You can see some flickering on the screen. It's because my camera shutter speed was out of sync with the Mercedes screen. The screen doesn't flicker in reality, only in this video.

Can you specify dimensions of the box?
Does it fit into wireless charging panel of GLS 2021 next to car play port and keep cover closed?
Yes it will fit. But I don't suggest to cover the charging panel because you still want to charge your phone. Personally, I put it inside of one of the cup holders, and you can still close the cover. Some people place it in the glove compartment, pulling the wire through the dashboard.
Keep the box ventilated , if i'm not wrong , the box does have a fan integrated .....it needs to breath

Yes, it works with any phone.
Wow! Another amazing video, both of them. I was considering upgrading to those Chinese 10.25 screens for my 2015 CLS400. This box sounds interesting. Will it work with my CLS non-touch screen. And what is your opinion on those upgrade aftermarket android screens.
It's funny you asked, because those company bombarding me and asking me to review those products. Probably, I will do it! I don't think 2015 CLS-Class had Apple CarPlay integration. This box works only in cars equipped with Apple Carplay. I'm planning to make a video on how to make cars smart... even without Apple Carplay integration, so stay tuned!

Yes, the new Android 11 Box offers Apple Wireless Carplay. Instead of plugging the USB cable, you just need to create a hotspot on your cell phone and then everything is wireless.

If it's in the U.S. market, the first C-Class with Apple Carplay came out in 2018 as an option and in 2019 as standard equipment. C-Class got it much later than most other MB models, so 2017 model didn't have it.

Yes, it will play for your passengers because it's not a good idea to watch while driving, unless you play some talk shows, where you don't need to look at the screen. Watch my second video in the series, where I demo how to use it.
Just put the feet and the dashboard and watch Netflix while you drive

I have mercedes benz 2022 e350. After receiving calls, when using this mmb carplay, the volume goes off and the volume controls will not work. Please what can i do to resolve this. Thank
If you lose the volume control, press home button on your Multimedia screen and select RADIO. As soon as Radio starts to play you have your sound and volume control back. Press HOME button again and select Apple Carplay on the top of the screen to go back into MMB. Touch screen to play and volume should be back. Also, you may want to update the software of your MMB Box, by contacting MMB directly via their website or Amazon page.
Do you have a multimedia box that can work if your cat doesn't have carplay enabled? The W177 models of Mercedes don't come with Apple carplay installed unlike older models

Yes, it will work as long as your car is equipped with Apple Carplay. Every A-Class comes with Apple Carplay as standard equipment here in the U.S. However, we don't have A180 model here. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are the same anywhere in the World. It connects via a single USB cable, so it will work regardless of your location. Plus, you have 30 days return period.

Yes, it will work, but not as straightforward as on touch screens. You'd need to use the central controller or steering wheel controls. I'm going to make a short video how to use it on non touchscreens. So yes it will work. Also they are shipping now the newer version with Android 9.0, which is improved!

Does it just use your phones sim to play Netflix and RUclips to watch in the car, providing that you have Netflix and RUclips on your phone.
No SIM card. RUclips, Netflix and other apps are installed on the Box, not on the phone. You just need to create a hotspot from your cell phone to provide the internet to this Box.

Hi All just wondered any one give me some advice .Had unit couple of weeks all working fine .Then one day plugged unit into Usb and the box flashed as if booting up but no splash screen on screen .I tried a system reset on car but no luck .the unit just flashes blue light as if not completely booting up i tried in other car play cars but still same issue .Anyone got any advice?
Maybe the system is updating. If your connection is slow, it may take some time. You can also contact the manufacturer via their Facebook page for the troubleshooting.

As I mentioned in my other video here mbzmaster.com/top-10-mercedes-donts-%f0%9f%9b%91-tips-tricks/ , Mercedes pedals are foot-sensitive. So, my guess is the problem somewhere inside the pedal. It maybe the pedal's sensor, or faulty wires in the back. But you should run a diagnostics with a scanner to pinpoint the exact problem, but my first suspect is the pedal itself.
Will this work on a 2017 MB GLE? I got a Samsung Galaxy 22ultra , I want to integrate my phone to the car screen to use Google maps or wayze

In Australia the cars come with no am radio channels. Can this be worked around ?
It will work if you install the radio with the Apple Carplay feature.
Will this do Android auto? I feel like playing with these are novelties but most of the time you'd rather just have Android auto run for you automatically.
I couldn't download the app, but Android Auto is a standalone app, which can run on your phone independently of your car. So, as I've shown in this video, I just simply mirrored to the screen and it worked fine via the screen and speakers wirelessly. You can also use the voice button, or just control it by saying Ok,Google. But if you already have AA in your car and don't use anything else, then you don't really need this box. I use this box mostly for RUclips playing some talk shows, podcasts and some music. I still use original Navigation in the instrument cluster screen, and RUclips on the right multimedia screen. But you're right it's a novelty, it's a toy, but there is a lot of things you can use it for. It's twice less expensive than Mercedes SD Card Navi and offers much more.
Hello MBZ Master is there anyway to use the wifi in my car to connect to the box instead of using up my data on my phone?
Yes you can connect to your vehicles data, but first you have to create a Wi-Fi hotspot, which is easy to do and it's explained in your owner's manual. However, depending on the year, model and service provider you may get a better service via your cell phone provider, which I personally use, but I have a T-Mobile Unlimited Data plan, so I'm not limited on how much data I can use. Yes, it will work. And it works with all the original buttons. However, I have not tested on how easy to control without the touch screen. Watch my second video, where I demoed how to control without the touch screen. Also you can get a remote control later, if it's very difficult. The link for the 2nd part video is in description area.

It has Android OS. Most apps on Google play are 3rd party. You can also mirror anything from your own device to your car screen, as I demoed with Android Auto in this video.

Unfortunately, no, because this Box requires Apple Carplay, which 2013 models didn't have.

It works with any phone. The Box has it's own Android operating system, which connects to your vehicle via Apple Carplay. So you can watch RUclips etc. You need your phone just to provide the internet hotspot.

It doesn't matter what kind of phone you have. This box will work only if your car is equipped with Apple Carplay, and then it will work with any phone - including S20. This box tricks your car into thinking that you connected an iPhone and that's how it connects to your car. But if your car is equipped with Android Auto, then it definitely already has Apple Carplay, so you should be ok.

Yes, it has its own Android OS. But you need your cellphone or other device to provide a Hotspot for the internet.
@@MBZMaster Perfect I am looking for a device that does not get into my phone, messages etc and blasting everything , messages, calls, notifications on the car screen. And a device that works all the time (of course I provide internet ONLY form my phones hotspot).
The Box has Bluetooth capabilities to pair with your phone, as I've shown in this video, but I prefer to use my Mercedes phone system, so I didn't pair it. However, if you want use native smartphone apps like Apple Carplay or Android Auto, you'd need to pair it via Bluetooth. I didn't pair my phone because I don't use those apps on this Box. Mainly, I only use it to play RUclips videos. But it's a good idea to login to your Google account, so you can sync all your RUclips and Google search info, as it will speed up the Box operation or if you use RUclips Premium - you'll need to login to RUclips... but phone pairing is optional.

No, because this Box requires Apple Carplay function, which wasn't available in 2015 C-Class, unless you replaced your audio system.
But it using the default apple carplay screen size. Anyway to make it full screen size?
Android OS, RUclips, Netflix, etc... work on 16:9 aspect ratio because it's a TV aspect ratio, but it may change in the future.

My phone provider does not support personal hot spot will it work without it.
You can still download apps at home, as I've shown in my other video here: bit.ly/36BNZgf. Some apps don't need internet, as you can see in this video, including navigation apps like OsmAnd. You can download Netflix movies to watch later. You can also download RUclips videos to watch later in the car, if you have RUclips Premium. You can also load this Box with your own video files, and I assume you can mirror your phone. But which company doesn't allow hotspot? I would replace that company to any of the competitor very quickly.

Love and hate my Mercedes C 300. What can I do?. Dealing for 11 months with them having a ripped seat. The car is not under warranty. Thanks
Ripped seat is not covered under the warranty, because it's a physical damage, which was not caused by the manufacture. There are many places that can fix leather seat tear very inexpensively.
@@MBZMaster Tanks for answering. I do take care of my car. I bought it in 2016 with 43.700km. Right now have 73.500km. Like you see in 5 years I drove 30.000km. The dealer offers to replace the seat for 983.00 Canadian dols. After they give me 10% discount. And I'm not happy, is very expensive.
@@juliaichuste4420 Don't replace it. Fix it. Check with any upholstery shops for cars or even for furniture. They have people who can fix leather tears very inexpensively.

Mercedes cheap SD Card Navigation is $600 + $200 prewiring and not very good quality. This is half price and offers so much more...
@@MBZMaster True it looks like a really good product but I only want to play video clips from my phone to my GLE 400d. I'll just carry my Ipod around. Looks like it solves so many issues though. My old GLE had email and video playback as standard and as much as I do really like the MBUX there were many features left out or ones that I could buy as an additional subscription but that looks like a money making exercise from Mercedes Benz. Keep up the good work on your Channel.
