    I'm sure you could have fitted a nice aftermarket android pop-out head unit and integrated most of that tat into once nice looking unit.

    • @ToxCcc
      @ToxCcc Год назад

      Agreed with so much tat attached to the dash probably makes it desirable and easy for thieves to smash and grab. Better off getting an double din headunit and fascia so it fits flush and screw into into the dash to give that integrated factory feel finish.

    If you didn't have enough of a giant like Google listening to your conversations all day, then add an Amazon device with 8 mics, just to make sure they hear you too, even in the car. How "convenient".
    You can buy aftermarket in car multimedia systems into most cars that have 2 DIN size space for it. It frees you from pluging in so many stuff and it can use reversing camera + dashboard camera with collision warning and lane keep assist. The decent ones have Android systems on it and it can use free navigation too that can be updated through WiFi. You can also have a DAB receiver with it. Most with bluetooth too that can connect compatible TPMS systems too. So, more or less, ALL IN ONE instead of the 4 gadgets you presented.
    Anyway, it was good to call up attention to such stuff. :o)

    I'd be lost without having android auto. Upgraded my headunit in my last car to one that had android auto and apple carplay and my current car came with sat nav but activated the android auto feature on there as I find it much better to use. Can listen to my music and playlists while using Google maps for directions. Definitely would of been better to have spend the money on upgrading a headunit with dab and Android auto and even a few of them can have a reverse camera fitted to them.

  • @Adam2050

    An new video in the modern world.
    Those wheel sensors are terrible, there going to get nicked.
    The tracker could be pulled out.
    The dab radio could be inserted in an actual unit, without sticking that god awful thing on the dash.
    Alexa unit does not look 'neat' it looks an eyesaw. Sat nav would be easier.
    Eventually the research team finally find one decent thing in Android Auto.
    Then Manage to get a second one slightly correct but at the same time a quick google search would of located a device to do all the above in a simple head unit, or double din unit.

    Using your phone, even when the car is stopped, is going to get you into trouble....I'd suggest taking the keys out and plonking them on the dash. Of course, that'll probably turn off all your tech...lol

      @@RossCanpolat Sounds very unpractical going around talking to shit. By the time you have said "Hey google" I already have adjusted the lights and/or switched my home cinema system from i.e TV watching to movie watching with all devices turning on and off as needed in one push.
      TYested it along voice control and voice lost big time. Voice is slower, clunkier and often misses the right command. It made me more mad than happy.
      Voice assist is for people without limbs. Others should stop beewin so god damn lazy they can't even push a single button.

      @@Oystein87 so you have to carry a remote control with you all over the house? I can turn on my heat, turn off my lights and get some death metal playing on all speakers on my house all while taking a shit hands free. Try speak more clearly if smart devices can't understand you 😂

  • @Nite-owl

    You don't highlight the fact that you really need to remove every single piece of tech from the car if you're leaving it for long, or don't have a garage as you'll come back to a lot of broken glass and missing tech. Far less likely with built in offerings.

    • @Oystein87
      @Oystein87 3 года назад

      Built-in offerings from some cars are actualy in extremely high demand and are often stolen so not quite true. And aftermarket tech can be mounted alot better than this so it can be easy hidden etc.

    • @Nite-owl
      @Nite-owl 3 года назад

      @@Oystein87 Anything that can be stolen and then sold is always going to be in demand, but if you're telling me that it's as easy and quick to steal built in tech as it is to just rip out stuck on gadgets, we'll have to agree to disagree. Most thefts are opportunistic in nature, not by thieves coming prepared with screwdrivers and a miniature socket set.

    • @Oystein87
      @Oystein87 3 года назад

      @@Nite-owl Smart thiefs will rather take the time to learn how and take the original stuff thats actually worth money thatn thirdparty cheap junk so.. Not that hard to tak out original equipment. I did it in a few moments when upgrading the stereo.

    • @Nite-owl
      @Nite-owl 3 года назад

      @@Oystein87 If I was a thief I'd much prefer to be in and out in 30 seconds rather than the 5 minutes it might take to remove built in equipment. Every second you spend stealing increases the odds of being caught and that doesn't sound particularly smart to me. Surely it's more profitable to rob from 10 different cars and make a quick getaway than to take too long and get caught.

    • @Oystein87
      @Oystein87 3 года назад

      @@Nite-owl And thet's why they learn how to take the original equipment so it's actually worth the time. There is a HUGE market for original equipment but just a small market for cheap crap. So it's basicly: Learn to get the equipment worth anything or keep risking it for spare change from the other crap.
