I know there a lot of people who prefer the original, and that's fine... however this game for me is what a lot of games should strive for! Sick anime music that gets you hyped, makes you check it out on RUclips and download it on your phone! I spent so many hours playing this masterpiece despite its tedious quests.
GameXPlain, did you know that someone named 'breast livoks' or something uploaded one of your videos on his channel. The video is about the 3ds gameplay leaks etc. What do you think of that!?!?
+Jeffzzzz not really anything new tbh, happens all the time, how many people do you think for example steals angry video game nerds videos and uploads them?
It was my second playthrough and I just defeated Lao right now. WITHOUT any Skells :D DAMN, how satisfying. In my first playthrough I found it hard to defeat him even WITH Skells. My efforts really payed of ;)
I guess here's a good place to ask, but is the game the type that let's you keep playing even after you've beaten the final boss, or does it reset itself afterwards? (NO STORY SPOILERS PLEASE!)
+J~Play I feel comfortable putting this here. Once you beat the game, you return to the Barracks and can continue exploring Mira with new Missions/Equipment/Skells available.
This game really loves revealing a whole lot of stuff you questioned while at the same time giving out a whole bunch of a questions. But the one that I think needs an answer for what we got is why did Elma have to be IN the Lifehold Core to switch to her true form? You could make the argument she needed to be in range or whatever, but that's basically saying that if she died as a Mim while off the ship, there's no fail-safe to revive her automatically. What I'm getting at here is that she could have just switched back to her true form and activate the back-up power for the Lifehold Core there and then send a signal to NLA to figure out where she is.
This final boss was so hard! It literally took me an entire day to beat! Most of the time my Skells (which were all very heavy-duty high HP Skells) would be destroyed in 1-2 hits from the Vita, and I literally had hours of frustration, and that was with easy mode on too! What can I do to make it easier for myself for my next playthrough? Any assistance is appreciated!
i may be 5 years late but overdrive is op. i beat vita and lao with infinite overdrive on elma without a skell. it seriously just makes things a cakewalk since you can do a ton of damage and also keep your party alive with ghost factory. everyone except my cross was lvl44 or so
still waiting for x2 monolith, despite what people say i think the X story was great i can’t be the only one who wants to find out what happens and had happened in that world X was a great set up for a grander story
How do you survive from Lao's last attack? It always kill me in one shot (and i was higher leveled than you) u_u. Even if i managed somehow to win by chance, i still don't understand what was wrong.
Following the concept of Monadology, of which the original the original was inspired from, it could be argued that Mira, or a dang powerful lifeform for that matter, would serve as the "highest Monad" (true god), in which the humans, along with all xenos, wooukd fall into its/his perfect harmony, and thus having a future that can only be controlled by this highest Monad. Same reason why the humans could speak nopon/xeno and vice versa.
Just beat the final boss a little while ago. ........ALL OF THE QUESTIONS! ALL OF THEM! The sequel bait is so real, it's stuns me. I knew it too. I tried hard not to look at any spoilers but I did see a few like this game having a cliffhanger ending and being huge sequel bait. I didn't think much of it but now I do and........ ALL OF THE QUESTIONS! ALL OF THEM! Why do you do this to me, Monolith? In such a strangely satisfying way too. You'd think from this rant that I'd hate this cliff-hanger decision with a hot burning passion but I don't. Some questions were brought up before like what the hell is up with mira and some were just not asked at all like WHAT WAS THE SECOND ALIEN RACE IN THAT WAR THAT DESTROYED EARTH?!? All these unanswered questions and yet it's juicy and there's some form of consistency in it all. I have the strangest combination of annoyance and satisfaction that just makes me very confused......... so yea. Get on that sequel monolith. You get one sequel bait from me. Please don't do it again.
You guys DO know this game was essentially an experiment for the Wii U, right? They even said something along those lines, and that they didn't intend to focus on story. In the next game, they confirmed that they're going to commit themselves MUCH more on the story.
+ZeroScope100 i get a nickel everytime i see someone in the comments who didnt do the affinity missions and think the story is bad because they skiped it
During the final boss I found 2 major exploits, what I'm calling Weapon Hopping and Skell Hopping. Weapon Hopping: Switching weapons does not reset the cooldown. This means, if you have 2 weapons with similar cooldown, you can constantly switch between the 2 to quickly rack up damage and TP. Skell Hopping: During the animation of going in or out of your skell, you are invincible. I think you see where I'm going with this. When an enemy is about to pull off an attack, hop in or out of your skell, and you'll be perfectly fine.
Are we just going to ignore the fact that Tatsu called them "hom hom"? What the hell Monolith? How are you going to establish it as it's own universe and then pull shit like this? It's never explained why he calls them homs. This is a pretty big deal. I'm sure it was only intended to be a little nod to the first one, but it makes absolutely no sense.
+Caleb Arndt This is why I have preference for Japanese voice acting. If it was Johnny Yong Bosch english voice overs it would sound epic.^^It's not too bad you get used it by the overall awesomness.
Why so much hate for this game? Don't compare it to Xenoblade Chronicles because it's not and never will be. Personally I think they handled the story very well for an alien invasion. Sure the cutscenes art isn't that amazing but is that what it came to? Do we have to judge a game on it's graphics? Even if it's on a better console? Honestly for me I wish there would be more action in the cutscenes but every game has its flaw.
Of course people compare it to the one who came before. And it's quite dissapointing that the only thing this game does better is graphics. One of the strong points of XC was its impressive cinematogrophy despite its hardware limitations, and this game definitely doesn't have as much soul and passion as the first one.
+SilverRainbow100 A sequel, of course. There are already rumors floating around about Monolith developing a story-focused sequel for the NX. This game has such a massive scope, it makes sense why they couldn't fit the entire story into one game. And it's not unprecedented. Xenosaga was split into three installments.
SilverRainbow100 Me too. The gameplay and depth this game offered was amazing, but I really want another story on par with at least Xenoblade. I know everyone criticizes the heck out of this game's story, and a lot of it is deserved, but I'm still intrigued. I feel just invested enough in this world that I want to know more.
amazing game , had to come here to see the ending there is no way i was going to spend 5 more hours leveling up to beat the final boss lol. i really enjoyed this game but im not spending another 50 hours in front of the tv without getting paid. guess i'll have to see what happens on the sequel from videos entiretely
It took me 30 minutes to get to level 39 to 60... You just have to research a certain enemy spot that gives huge XP. Your loss not experiencing the story first hand, or the rest of the next games. I'd encourage you to give it another try. Sorrynotsorry
+Alejandro Ramirez Jair Fortress, Level 50 Skells, G-Buster or other Gravity weapons. Watch as your party members jump levels ina short amount of time.
Wow, there really is just... NO emotion on their faces is there. Like... I think N64 games had more emotion on their 5 polygons then these models do. is that part of the whole "their bodies aren't their actual bodies" plotpoint?
+Dolphin Squared (Dolphin2) It's like a PC with windows installed, but without any port to connect an usb to it and without anymore space to put something else on the harddrive
+Dolphin Squared (Dolphin2) From what i can tell; the computer is fine and the basic data is fine. The part that stored all their conscious was destroyed.
I have no idea how to beat the Vita's second form. My party members are levels 54 - 55 and I'm playing on the easy setting so that the boss is level 45. Each party member has a level 30 skell. Everything goes fine for the first phase. I'm able to damage him easily and spam arts that put him into bind, but it all goes up in smoke when his ether shield is activated. I destroy the enemy generating the shield, but then the Vita just won't die. He recovers health while shielded and his defense just feels like it's skyrocketed. Any help? :(
+BendyPenguin64 If you destroy the shielding enemy, the only thing holding you back is probably the fact that you use level 30 skells. There is a huge difference between them and the level 50 skells.
+BendyPenguin64 Have you managed to beat this boss yet? I managed to beat it using only level 30 skells. This isn't really me bragging so much as it's me telling you it's very possible with level 30 skells. It is a difficult fight, though. Getting better gear for your mim self is a good idea. Level 30 skells get trashed very easily in this fight. It can still cost a fortune to get high level armor or lots of grinding (if you wanna be op, that's not really a bad thing) but it costs less to simply buy better armor and weapons than it would be to buy the weakest level 50 skell. If you haven't beaten it by this time, consider better weapons and armor instead of Skells.
Had this game when it released, got this far and for the life of me could not defeat this fuccin mission. I ended up selling my Wii U but have always felt empty inside because I loved this game and didn’t know how it ended.
What's the songs that play when they enter the core (the first song that plays), and when [spoiler] emerges from stasis? I can't seem to find either of those on the soundtrack.
And so, humanity begins its trek to rediscover Lost Jerusalem - I mean Earth! It's good to see the Xeno series flourishing again, but I can't help but feel the past is beginning to repeat itself with this new series. What if it fails? What if people lose interest over time like they did with the Xenosaga series? Well, I suppose we'll have to wait and see. Here's hoping for a prosperous new series!
If you die in a certain point in this final battle, won’t you start the whole battle from the beginning? After all from Xenoblade 2 up to 3, you have to start all over again and that is frustrating.
Just beat the final boss. I came here to wath again the final scenes in order to better understand the ending. I thought that I hadn't understand something, but nope, a lot of questions remains opened. Defintely, I think that the plot of this game has a lot of bounds with Xenoblade Wii. Does Mira belong to the new universe created by Shulk? If the two games are unrelated, why Lin has two Monado in his hair? Hom Hom? One question more. It seems that at the end everybody are forced to live in their mimeosomes. Does it mean that they will live forever?
+Luca Savoia The game is heavily rumored to be getting a sequel that answers at least most of these questions. Xenoblade X was already a spiritual sequel of Xenosaga to begin with, and that was a series split into three installments.
I've beaten the game so I can finally watch this. I just discovered you can lock onto appendages xD Also, the actual final boss level is 50. It seems he activated an easier difficulty :p

+n atira so humana the music is more than fitting, I'd rather have a hopeful final boss theme that comes around full-circle with the whole thing about humanity surviving.
Sooo.... now that we've seen the final battle, did anyone else realize that the Vita was part of the Ganglion fleet in the opening cutscene? Good thing you weren't fighting it at its full power...
Okay so I don't want to actually see the ending, I just want to know one thing. Can I continue my game after the ending or do I need to reload a save from before the final fight? Thanks!

GameXPlain, did you know that someone named 'breast livoks' or something uploaded one of your videos on his channel. The video is about the 3ds gameplay leaks etc. What do you think of that!?!?
Like this post so gamexplain can see and report there videos
reported his channel already
+Jeffzzzz Went to his channel, it looks like RUclips took care of his ass ;)
Nathaniel 24 yep his channel is gone. That's one less moron on the internet.
My efforts really payed of ;)
We are so fucking back X bros.
2025
people out here crying for a for this game to come too switch but here i am crying for X2
This story never truly ends...
I guess here's a good place to ask, but is the game the type that let's you keep playing even after you've beaten the final boss, or does it reset itself afterwards?
(NO STORY SPOILERS PLEASE!)
Your main character dies at the end.
+Dan Mas well, fuck you
+Dan Mas What the fuck does "no spoilers please" FUCKING MEANS TO YOU?
+J~Play Xenoblade Chronicles allowed it I'm sure XCX does as well.
+J~Play I feel comfortable putting this here. Once you beat the game, you return to the Barracks and can continue exploring Mira with new Missions/Equipment/Skells available.
I love how there's so much homage to Xenogears/Saga/Blade 1. I forgot how Elma's capsule looks almost identical to the one KOS-MOS used. ^_^
I never would've thought Lao would be such a interesting and important character in this game.
What ost is that from 0:00 - 1:16?
Any assistance is appreciated!
i may be 5 years late but overdrive is op. i beat vita and lao with infinite overdrive on elma without a skell. it seriously just makes things a cakewalk since you can do a ton of damage and also keep your party alive with ghost factory. everyone except my cross was lvl44 or so
Wait, does Lao say "Charmaine, Chenshi, I love you" at 38:40? Or is it just me?
Moral of the the xonoblade chronicle series is humanity is a cockroach, no mater how hard you try to get rid of them they always find a way.
Getting some massive Xenosaga vibes from this chapter. It also helps that your avatar looks similar to Shion.
still waiting for x2 monolith, despite what people say i think the X story was great i can’t be the only one who wants to find out what happens and had happened in that world X was a great set up for a grander story
THE FEELS ARE STRONG WITH THIS ONE
How do you survive from Lao's last attack? It always kill me in one shot (and i was higher leveled than you) u_u. Even if i managed somehow to win by chance, i still don't understand what was wrong.
Mutated Lao is essentially a souped up alien version of William Birkin from Resident Evil 2.
"Go, me!" "Now you work with skill!" "Let's all talk like this!" "Come on, guys!" "Let's say our attacks so our enemy can dodge them!"
Lol
"It's something about this planet" I swear Elma says that at least 1,500 times in the campaign.
Every plot hole in the game can be explained with "there's something about this planet..." It's the new "a wizard did it" explanation.
RadeGuy She only said it like twice lol. Maybe three times
+ZeroScope100 i get a nickel everytime i see someone in the comments who didnt do the affinity missions and think the story is bad because they skiped it
You referring to me? I don't think the story is bad, I love the concept. But it IS a little underwhelming
Yeah it was only a reference. With xenoblade 2 it is possible the three could be connected but it's highly unlikely

7.8/10 too many battle quotes
+Caleb Arndt so the original Xenoblade chronicles had a ton of battle quotes in the game. It' kinda the norm for the franchise.
Yeah, but this one is like "Target locked. Firing missiles!" every 5 seconds
Caleb Arndt
That doesn't exactly apply because you're saying the same lines every time you use an art in the original so they both are the same.
+Caleb Arndt This is why I have preference for Japanese voice acting. If it was Johnny Yong Bosch english voice overs it would sound epic.^^It's not too bad you get used it by the overall awesomness.
+Caleb Arndt "You will pay for your insolence"
XKinerojiX Yes, I agree that it's worse than xenoblade Chronicles. But they're somethings that I like about this game.
this one has its moments for sure, but the things i feel bring it down is the sequel bait ending to an otherwise drawn out incomplete story
XKinerojiX True.
"XC" "the first one" sigh
Well the next game has been set up, looking forward to it. Thanks for uploading the series. Enjoyed it.
Lol
@@madmatt6454 D:
I see all these horror stories about how hard Lao is on foot, so I feel pretty dirty for just using a ghost walker build and completely owning him.
I want this game to get a sequel
I am waiting :)
TonyDaExpert nope. Xenoblade 2 :/ at least it's something. Just think that this game deserved a sequel more. Either way excited!
THE FUCKING FLYING THEME AFTER VITA FIGHT IM DEAD
So are we gonna ignore the fact that at 21:29 Lin's Hair barrettes look like the Monado?
Why the hell would they end it at this point?! There are so many unanswered questions!
+Sam “Duster” Hartman If that's the case, I'm really looking forward to the sequel. :)
+SilverRainbow100 (original post) sequel material probs
+Xander Bond You're Right. I was just kinda pissed when I wrote that comment, because I hate clifhangers ;)
amazing game , had to come here to see the ending there is no way i was going to spend 5 more hours leveling up to beat the final boss lol. i really enjoyed this game but im not spending another 50 hours in front of the tv without getting paid. guess i'll have to see what happens on the sequel from videos entiretely
It took me 30 minutes to get to level 39 to 60...
You just have to research a certain enemy spot that gives huge XP. Your loss not experiencing the story first hand, or the rest of the next games. I'd encourage you to give it another try. Sorrynotsorry
+Alejandro Ramirez
Jair Fortress, Level 50 Skells, G-Buster or other Gravity weapons. Watch as your party members jump levels ina short amount of time.
I still wish they would do more with this game. At least give us a port for the Switch
Coming here after finished Future Redeemed.
Must be the same, it just must be, there's no other explanation 😎
What's the name of the song playing when Lao and Luxaar are falling into the pool?
So nah, so fern.
Wow, there really is just... NO emotion on their faces is there.
Like... I think N64 games had more emotion on their 5 polygons then these models do.
is that part of the whole "their bodies aren't their actual bodies" plotpoint?
+H enryuuki yes yes it is
To be fair there are actually robots that mimics the human body but it can't mimic it 100%
I think it is because they don't have real bodies.
I've honestly had trouble taking this game seriously since its announce trailer because of how horrible every character's face looks.
+Tylerburrito The game is a joke sadly...The best thing is that you can pilot skells and the world is massive. The story....my god it's so bad...
56:51 Why are to asking Elma what happend? they are literally standing infront of the computer hologram, seeing everything Elma sees.
22:00 I know how you feel doug.. i dont think so elma because she has her real body and not a clone with implanted memories.
GameXlain not spoiling something through the thumbnail? What world are we in?
When even the "ambient" song in the last room let's you know "That's it"~
Wait, if they have been trying to save the computer during the final boss, then what does it mean when the database is no more?
+Dolphin Squared (Dolphin2) It's like a PC with windows installed, but without any port to connect an usb to it and without anymore space to put something else on the harddrive
+Dolphin Squared (Dolphin2) From what i can tell; the computer is fine and the basic data is fine. The part that stored all their conscious was destroyed.
How is he recovering fuel in the fight? Is it a fuel recovery probe?
Dynablade7 Guess I'll have to start saving up my credits, then. Thanks. :)
KurashiDragon Yeah, I've beaten him now. Used one level 50 skell and three level 30s.
40:53 Where did you get that thing?.
Had this game when it released, got this far and for the life of me could not defeat this fuccin mission. I ended up selling my Wii U but have always felt empty inside because I loved this game and didn’t know how it ended.
can someone tell me what the song is called that plays at 40:20
Well, that sucks for people who had a crush on Elma. XD
And no one ever questioned where that cat went. Or ever that cat once wondered:
"OHGODWHATTHEFUCKWHYAMIREALEVERYTHINGISWETWHATISTHISSHIT"
What's the songs that play when they enter the core (the first song that plays), and when [spoiler] emerges from stasis? I can't seem to find either of those on the soundtrack.
that ending just screams at you.. geez. the very last scenes.
"All the mysteries are answered" except none of them.
"It's something about the planet" is the answer.
🕊 "It's over. Excellent work--all of you." -Nagi
Without subtitles it was impossible to hear Lao
If you die in a certain point in this final battle, won’t you start the whole battle from the beginning? After all from Xenoblade 2 up to 3, you have to start all over again and that is frustrating.
#WiiUMasterrace
#WiiUMasterRace
what was the weapon he was using in the smell that did so much damage ,it wiped out all the defense monsters
"At the dawn of the cosmos, a fleet of Abel's Ark arrived from the Upper Domain."
I've beaten the game so I can finally watch this. I just discovered you can lock onto appendages xD Also, the actual final boss level is 50. It seems he activated an easier difficulty :p
I already knew the ending since it came out. couldn't understand everything though.
Same here.
+KaytchJam ™ .... im glad i took science and ethic classes otherwise i'd be lost...but im great at explaining it hopefully i can provide an article relating to conscious and data
+Jonathan Truong pretty sure he meant as in it was in japanese and full translations at the time were almost non-existent. the concept itself here isn't that hard to understand
the music is pretty unfitting ugh
29:23 William Birkin? Is that you?! :O
+n atira so humana the music is more than fitting, I'd rather have a hopeful final boss theme that comes around full-circle with the whole thing about humanity surviving.
Dude this is so resident evil it's scary. Like the G virus got the ultimate buff...
Limbo Studios I mean, having that theme aloud while the characters are talking about something else is unfitting
Does anyone know the music that plays at the start of this video? When the doors first open and they go down the elevator?
This game went pretty resident evil.
Sooo.... now that we've seen the final battle, did anyone else realize that the Vita was part of the Ganglion fleet in the opening cutscene? Good thing you weren't fighting it at its full power...
Okay so I don't want to actually see the ending, I just want to know one thing.
Can I continue my game after the ending or do I need to reload a save from before the final fight?
Thanks!
