My Filipina wife is from Tagbilaran City. We love watching your channel because of your love for Bohol. But always enjoy seeing the rest of the Philippines through your eyes.
You do a fantastic job of showcasing life in the Philippines from city life to the middle of nowhere. The majority of bloggers are hung up on dating Philippinas. 😊
the absolute BEST travel Vlogger on RUclips. I LOVE the Philippines and have been to Dauin before to scuba / take underwater photos. Well done brother.
I came home, hubby already started watching this. He has to restart the video. We laughed so hard when you said you should have taken the taxi 😂 Be safe and hope you've had so much fun 😊
I appreciate how your vlogs showcase your willingness to engage with local communities, support small businesses, and engage in casual conversations. It would be refreshing to see more bloggers follow your example rather than focusing solely on partying and excessive consumption of alcohol.
There could be 1000 videos on this or that island showing beaches or bars, but there’s only one interaction with that specific person I meet in that moment. I’d rather show unique interactions that will only happen once. Thank you for watching!
Always love your Channel. Your love for the people is organic and when you are giving it seems Geniune. Don't change... Filipinos have a habit of giving back more than you give them.... may not be monetary but it's kindness
Glad ur back ..happy new year!!! FYI: U might interested posting sinulog activities n cebu city, d grand parade will be on d 3rd sunday of january, but there are nightly activities starting d 9th of january
Thank you! I left the Philippines when I was 14yo. I am 62 now. I have not been back since. I have no idea how the beautiful lifestyle is in my homeland. I plan to go back before my time is up. I also would like to bring my US born son to learn how his other heritage lives. Thank you again. Mabuhay!❤
LOL, i'm still at the beginning but I 100% agree Jonathan. The driving in the provincial cities is whoa... i don't think i'd survive. My niece can drive there no problem but i'm so used to driving in California now.
Jonathan❣️Thank You again for showcasing my country, the Philippines especially the part about how hospitable we are. I am not living there....yet, nevertheless, I have truly enjoy watching your videos even if I have seen them before. The Filipino people loves you too because they can see through your honest eyes and your sincere smiles is the key to being invited to their home. I would recommend to learn to speak Tagalog since you almost perfected speaking Visaya. Good luck with your adventures and "happy trails to you..."🎶🎶🎶 until I get the chance and privilege to meet you in person 🩷 Fondly ~ Eve
Great video - looks like a nice place to enjoy, clean, nice folks to deal with, and the quietness which I love.. I moved out into the country many years ago.. I love the peace and quiet..
My favorite scuba resort can't wait to go back. Great food and very clean resort. We travel from Calbayog City and stay 1 week a year. Enjoy the breakfast. Great video.
After watching your videos for a long time now, I have concluded that while you enjoy touring the Philippines, you are happiest when you are away from the big cities, out in the Provinces where the living is slower are more laid back. I hope you realize how fortunate you are to be living the life you live as many of us can only dream.
You’re definitely right! I’m prone to stress, and cities don’t help that 😅 in any city in the world I’m uncomfortable 🤣 and yes I am very aware of how fortunate I am to be able to do this! I set out with this very specific goal to be able to earn money while doing this, so I can work while traveling. Hopefully others who want a similar life can see that it’s possible!
@@travelescapesOFFICIALI'm jealous of such lifestyle, wish I'm so much younger so I can also start a yt channel and travel. I love to travel the world but it's soooo expensive here in BC, need to work really hard, happy for you , take care always. You should also visit northern part of Luzon, like Ilocos Norte, my home province
You should check Apo Island if your interested in scuba diving, considered on top of the the most beautiful dive spot in the world. Also the island has white sand there so it's completely different vibe there compared to the city
Love your videos Jonathan. I think you are often as kind as the Filipinos you encounter. I know right, the driving is challenging but amazing how well it moves and people are never angry ( first hand experience) Peace brother
@travelescapesOFFICIAL uh yah I thought I'm only one in this world always have peanut every day and even inside my room I have stock just now I know that I'm not alone loves peanut 😅✌
Glad to see another video Jonathan. I will be back over there the 23rd of this month for a couple of months exploring. Keep up inspiring people like me to travel.
Wow sir, nice to show me the city of Dumaguete . I think there are no homeless or squatter areas there just unlike in Manila, you can see many of these homeless and squatters.
Hi Jonathan your video very awesome bro and you are a very nice guy i would like you to visit Kingston Jamaica a lot's of foreigner come here and enjoy themselves here it's wonderful i am a Jamaican but i grow up in American accent yes i can speak Jamaican accent most of my siblings lived in the USA California Jamaica food are the best and beaches too we have two air port #1Norman Manley International Airport that's in Kingston #2 Sangster International Airport that's in Montego bay / You are welcome bro come and visit Jamaica beautiful island 😊😊😊
Just gor back late dec from ph.Coincidence,I am eating a 180g bar of cadbury's milk chocolate right now whilst watching this video. That baykubo/hut looks great. Am returning yet again to philippines probably may or june from uk to see my family and may visit dumaguete as we have been to iloilo last year and cebu dec 2023 from our house in san mateo rizal. Boracay is on the next list after bohol too.
Nice to see you again friend Vlogger Thank you for the video 👊hope i can visit here again one day since been along time since i was here too young Watching 5,2025👍🥰🐕😺😘👊💯💚🇵🇭
LOL, you passed my house. I'd invite you in, I'm on the left past the laundromat in the video. I did stop by and try the mexican place in your previous video. Great place
Just visit also Biliran Island( Leyte) and Dinagat Island ( Surigao) it's really amazing the beaches and place surrounded with mountains not crowded I'm sure you really liked it.
Oh, there is a good balance between nature and civilization in Dauin, I was there for 1.5 months. There is a magnificent underwater world just near the beach! But there are also crazy fishes that often attack swimmers (big "trigger fish").
Rabies is endemic in the Philippines and stray dogs and cats are the most frequent culprits. Got bit by a cat last year and underwent the rabies shots program. Always lots of people at the clinics getting shots so it is very common. Not fun, so be careful interacting with the stray cats and dogs.
$105 a night? That is expensive for the Philippines, but it's very nice. Did that include breakfast? All we get in the U.S. for $105 a night is a bed and bathroom.. Heck, a bag of potato chips is $6.00, about 348 PHP I guess....ridiculous right? You made the right move Jonathan! Thanks for the tour!
Nice to see your vlog again. It’s nice that the dollar goes along way in pinas. But as a balikbayan, I can’t imagine in some areas of the Philippines that traffic is a big part of everyday lives of the Filipinos and it’s getting worse.
Its better to invest on a good helmet jonathan since you always ride the motorcycle, like what the old saying, better be safe than sorry, enjoy and take care!
I think you can't live California a bit chaotic and prefer rural quite serene place where therea lot of waterfalls and beaches. The good thing I love Asia is there's a lot of Waterfalls where you can enjoy the fresh warm water
hey @travelescapesOFFICIAL tech question if you got a sec... how do you ride the bike with the go pro and have no wind noise and still keep your voice sounding normal? the wind suppression is not that good on the go pro and when ive tried to remove it post in editing it makes my voice sound tinny.

Hi Jonathan, wow, what a beautiful Resort. Looks like you made a good choice to stay there. Everything there was so well maintained and very clean.
It was well maintained! It was quiet too.. peaceful

The most I have ever paid for a massage was 700.00 pesos. Usually 300.00 pesos for hour and a half or 600.00 pesos for two hours.
Nice resort but at a third of the price they'd have ten times as many guests.
