But cartel crime, gov and NGO corruption have taken advantage of the situation, profiteering and building their new voter base and welfare state, and the human trafficking drug trafficking child trafficking human smuggling is out of control. I used to hate the idea of a "militarized wall" separating our countries but I understand now how it is necessary.

Very interesting thank you. I went to Tijuana many moons ago, it was quite an experience. It is a long border 2000+ miles, and in many parts there cannot be a wall because of the Rio Grande River. In fact I camped in a remote area once in Big Bend National Park Texas, and I was able to go right to the edge of the river in a very Wilderness Area. I could have easily swam across the river into Mexico, but I never saw anybody crossing there the whole time I was camping. I have pictures of the river and stuck my feet in it. It is beautiful, but yes, so complex an issue for sure.

I remember when there was no wall, and you could cross back and forth without the need for a crossing. It made sense. The Mexicans would cross to work the fields and other jobs we Americans didn't want, then go home at the end of the day. They paid taxes and contributed to the economy on both sides of the border. Now, it is so strict not just to cross but to work on this side the workers are compelled to stay and work in undocumented jobs that minimally contribute to either society.

With such depolarizing politics in US now, immigration is a big issue. I appreciate it you are not showing partiality in politics and don’t even go there. You might allienate your viewers. Thank you, Jonathan.
I follow you since you are a good man who loves south asian countries esp. Philippines and appreciate their culture. 😊

I’m so glad people are taking the courage to come see it for themselves how ugly thing’s are and its more than what the media eye meets excluding the homeless crisis and high crimes!

There you are lol, like we lost you 😝. Hope all is well for family, blessings for all in all areas-I said a prayer to cover all contingencies all bases not knowing, besides it’s nonemybizness! You always amaze me in your fluidity and responding to people and interacting. Gracious, kind, spreading joy, and love🌟. All countries have immigrants trying to LIVE and THRIVE not just exist barely! I feel for all of them. Your adopted country is getting or got hit with tremendously scary flooding; while Yagi-typhoon, has devastating much and many countries there. It’s really sad to witness. I’ve been watching Anne since her site is going now. It’s a bit chaotic and unfocused, but I watch to boost! I forget her nieces name but she’s so adorable in her vids too-little PRECOCIOUS precious!❤️thank you for sharing valuable info regarding our borders. Take care happy travels🙏🏻❤️

great video, when time permits you should check out other areas of the border. We have been to the spot southwest of Yuma where the border wall ends and have witnessed some of the people crossing, being loaded onto buses to be taken to processing. There are numerous places in the desert where the wall just ends and it is easy to walk around.

Many migrants at Mexico's Southern border told me how many dead bodies they see on mexico side coming across from Guatemala. On the Guatemala side the locals say be careful of the Mexico border is too dangerous

One thing to realize is that most of the border barrier is not on the border. Because of treaties, it is on US soil (there are exceptions but we can ignore them here). So, when someone wanting to cross the border approaches the wall, they have already crossed the border and are standing on US soil. They are subject to US immigration law at this point, which means they can request asylum.

We paid thousands to bring my wife here and years too. This year she became a U.S. citizen, a couple thos more , time, checks... i think gov, should reimburse everyone back for the money they collected, and tax free too. Most people dont know the people pay at least was the case in 2014, 500 dollars to apply to come here, and thats after all the background checks, medical checkups.... then the U.S. govt says, not allowed at this time, and sends the people away to re-a pply. They keep the 500 dollars and the people have to re-apply and pay the 500 again. Imagine the crap ton of money the U.S. gets montly from these poorer people. Or their future spouses. It showed me then Its all about the dollar dollar bills.

The area is heavily surveilled from the American side, with tower-mounted cameras and frequent helicopter patrols. Occasionally someone tries to swim around the fence, but often they have to get rescued or they are quickly taken into custody by Border Patrol agents. It’s one of the most secure spots of the entire US-Mexico border.

I will never forgive trump for bulldozing his way through Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a national treasure ,and a beautiful rare ecosystem for his stupid border wall . What he did to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is on par with bulldozing Yosemite valley, or bulldozing the geysers in Yellowstone.
