Living in the south bay, the southern area of San Diego since 1987, the crossings were curbed years ago around this area and pushed east. We are talking over 25 or more years ago. San Diego has not been the hot bed for illegal immigration that people think.
I am glad to see people going to get a look for themselves. I lived in Tijuana (TJ) for a year and had no problems. There are many Anglo Americans that also live in TJ with no issues.
Being half Mexican from New Mexico when my great Grandfather swam the river 100 years ago, this is SO complicated. I am also half white, but my Hispanic side has done very well, yet do not want the cartel or gang members in America. But want good people to enter, as do most of us. Too many layers to this onion. Awesome video, brother!
Not 2 many layers they need to come legally, it's pretty simple, if America continues to take on millions of illegals like this will fall, and if America 🇺🇸 falls I do believe the world will change forever as far as world security it will just be insane
It's not that hard to get a visa so you can come into the US it's really pretty simple but this isn't the problem area since biden's been in office over 11 million people have illegally entered our country You should be pissed about that because there's a lot of gang members coming across and already causing problems there is a legal way to get into the US That's the way you should do it.
And my husband's grandfather came to the States illegally....from Ireland. And my 3rd or so great grandfather illegally from Germany. Life is interesting.

If Mexico could get the crime under control it would be a great place to go. Most of the people are great, the food is fantastic and just a beautiful place all together.
The good immigrants themselves are not the issue, Americans love immigrants. But cartel crime, gov and NGO corruption have taken advantage of the situation, profiteering and building their new voter base and welfare state, and the human trafficking drug trafficking child trafficking human smuggling is out of control. I used to hate the idea of a "militarized wall" separating our countries but I understand now how it is necessary.

Very interesting thank you. I went to Tijuana many moons ago, it was quite an experience. It is a long border 2000+ miles, and in many parts there cannot be a wall because of the Rio Grande River. In fact I camped in a remote area once in Big Bend National Park Texas, and I was able to go right to the edge of the river in a very Wilderness Area. I could have easily swam across the river into Mexico, but I never saw anybody crossing there the whole time I was camping. I have pictures of the river and stuck my feet in it. I remember when there was no wall, and you could cross back and forth without the need for a crossing. It made sense. The Mexicans would cross to work the fields and other jobs we Americans didn't want, then go home at the end of the day. They paid taxes and contributed to the economy on both sides of the border. Now, it is so strict not just to cross but to work on this side the workers are compelled to stay and work in undocumented jobs that minimally contribute to either society.

Yes. It's ranked as one of the most dangerous cities in Mexico. But for tourists to be in danger. You'd have to be looking for trouble and going into the areas that are unsafe. Just like any other city in the world.
Not like any other city in the world. Mexico is always at the top when it comes to violence, yet y'all want these people to be able to immigrate here easily

great video, when time permits you should check out other areas of the border. We have been to the spot southwest of Yuma where the border wall ends and have witnessed some of the people crossing, being loaded onto buses to be taken to processing. There are numerous places in the desert where the wall just ends and it is easy to walk around.
Thank you for the video I spent about a month recently on the mexican southern border and you could just walk across. They usually search my bag when I go through Mexico too from San Ysidro. Many migrants at Mexico's Southern border told me how many dead bodies they see on mexico side coming across from Guatemala. On the Guatemala side the locals say be careful of the Mexico border is too dangerous
jonathan! amigo your back i thought my notifications was off or something didnt notice a video from you in a long time. its great to see you back hope all is well. great videos always! are you visiting more of mexico?
One thing to realize is that most of the border barrier is not on the border. Because of treaties, it is on US soil (there are exceptions but we can ignore them here). So, when someone wanting to cross the border approaches the wall, they have already crossed the border and are standing on US soil. They are subject to US immigration law at this point, which means they can request asylum.
We paid thousands to bring my wife here and years too. This year she became a U.S. citizen, a couple thos more , time, checks... i think gov, should reimburse everyone back for the money they collected, and tax free too. Most people dont know the people pay at least was the case in 2014, 500 dollars to apply to come here, and thats after all the background checks, medical checkups.... then the U.S. govt says, not allowed at this time, and sends the people away to re-a pply. They keep the 500 dollars and the people have to re-apply and pay the 500 again. Imagine the crap ton of money the U.S. gets montly from these poorer people. Or their future spouses. It showed me then Its all about the dollar dollar bills.
Very informative. Those crickets I used to buy them at at Italian gelato store in Burlingame California, they had nacho flavor italian seasoning they also had worms at the same store!
Hi Jonathan...good to see you're back to this part of the world again. Of course family must come first...only then you'll feel happy to resume work.. 😊
The area is heavily surveilled from the American side, with tower-mounted cameras and frequent helicopter patrols. Occasionally someone tries to swim around the fence, but often they have to get rescued or they are quickly taken into custody by Border Patrol agents. It’s one of the most secure spots of the entire US-Mexico border.

Amor Thats me( my name ) 😆 Its always good to know the language!!Amazing as always Jo!
😅 that’s true! Your name means love !
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Yep😆
I was in the Navy 1982 to 1988 AZ2 VS-41 and VS-33 two west pacs and I was based at North Island Naval Air Station, and we would take a one-day trip to T.J. and back then it was a beautiful town with friendly people and great food and sad to see how it is now days.
Good content! I actually just found out yesterday that’s it’s illegal for anyone but the military to own a gun in Mexico….sounds scary
Glad to see you back, was afraid something had happened to you
Good to see you back brother. Hope all is well with your family.
So happy i found you while your in Mexico. Beautiful ppl 💖🙏 Excited to see more videos from you. Will be in Yucatan and PM for Dia de Los Muertos!
With such depolarizing politics in US now, immigration is a big issue. I appreciate it you are not showing partiality in politics and don’t even go there. You might allienate your viewers. Thank you, Jonathan.
I follow you since you are a good man who loves south asian countries esp. Philippines and appreciate their culture. 😊
I am from Tijuana and i met a guy a few years back and he crossed over in that area ,i have lived here all my life and he is the first person i know that has made it swimming,he is now in Arizona and he is a native of Guerrero Mexico i guess he had experience swimming at sea.
Thank you for this! The media always acts like they are terrified to even get close to the wall on the american side, been curious what it's like on the Mexican side
People are the same all over the world. We're all just humans. It's the rulers/governments/politicians/leaders (whatever term) that seem to have the pissin' match.
Humans of the earth can live in harmony, we can accept others cultures and traditions. We like it. The World needs to heal. 👍
people are not the same all over the world.... the world will never heal as long as humans live in the world.
People have very different beliefs and values from many places that never really blend into some places.
@@EMan-cu5zo That is why we need to raise people's consciousness, so they stop using belief and fighting over beliefs.
I live in Imperial Beach, California exactly 3 exits before the border and 5 minutes from the beach and I can tel you this is exactly how it looks like!
I’m so glad people are taking the courage to come see it for themselves how ugly thing’s are and its more than what the media eye meets excluding the homeless crisis and high crimes!
When a Mexican tells you it's just a "little" spicy, to non-Mexicans that should mean it's going to make you see through time and have all types of out of body experiences wit how much it's going to sting you.
hahah that's what I was trying to tell her. Her definition of "spicy" isn't the same as my definition of "spicy" haha
Happy to see new video. Glad to see your are ok and doing well. Hope all is well with your family.
There you are lol, like we lost you 😝. Hope all is well for family, blessings for all in all areas-I said a prayer to cover all contingencies all bases not knowing, besides it’s nonemybizness! You always amaze me in your fluidity and responding to people and interacting. Gracious, kind, spreading joy, and love🌟. All countries have immigrants trying to LIVE and THRIVE not just exist barely! I feel for all of them. Your adopted country is getting or got hit with tremendously scary flooding; while Yagi-typhoon, has devastating much and many countries there. It’s really sad to witness. I’ve been watching Anne since her site is going now. It’s a bit chaotic and unfocused, but I watch to boost! I forget her nieces name but she’s so adorable in her vids too-little PRECOCIOUS precious!❤️thank you for sharing valuable info regarding our borders. Take care happy travels🙏🏻❤️
great video, when time permits you should check out other areas of the border. We have been to the spot southwest of Yuma where the border wall ends and have witnessed some of the people crossing, being loaded onto buses to be taken to processing. There are numerous places in the desert where the wall just ends and it is easy to walk around.
😂 I have tried those crickets before. Comes out in your poop 😂
🤣
As an American you can easily walk back and forth. Just bring you ID or drivers license.
You need a Passport
You need a passport or the passport card.
In the 90s took the bus from Laredo Tx to Monterrey México on weekends. And allways stamped my passport.
@Adam100m no you don't. You can cross by land with an enhanced ID.
You need a passport to fly in.
What an amazing informative video! Thank you very much! A new subscriber here.
Volunteer life gaurds. 8 hour shifts. That is AMAZING. 👍✌🙏
Love showing of the lifeguards. We are human beings and so nice to see how much alike we are.
Very interesting. Thanks for the video. 👍
Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for the video I spent about a month recently on the mexican southern border and you could just walk across. They usually search my bag when I go through Mexico too from San Ysidro.
Many migrants at Mexico's Southern border told me how many dead bodies they see on mexico side coming across from Guatemala. On the Guatemala side the locals say be careful of the Mexico border is too dangerous
Eyyyy happy to see new view Boss
It happens mostly in San Diego's deserts. The area is called 'Jacumba'
🇺🇸🇺🇸🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸 Been missing your videos Johnathan
It's great to be back making videos! Thank you for following along and watching them!
jonathan! amigo your back i thought my notifications was off or something didnt notice a video from you in a long time. its great to see you back hope all is well. great videos always! are you visiting more of mexico?
One thing to realize is that most of the border barrier is not on the border. Because of treaties, it is on US soil (there are exceptions but we can ignore them here). So, when someone wanting to cross the border approaches the wall, they have already crossed the border and are standing on US soil. They are subject to US immigration law at this point, which means they can request asylum.
Enjoyed the video! What’s the reason for traveling to Mexico and what are the plans? Thanks
There he is! Missed you man!
That's one sick border.
It's great to be back!! Thanks for always watching!
Very interesting. Thanks 👍🇺🇸
Where’s the thousands of people they claim are crossing illegally?
this is only one small section of the wall. It doesn't represent the entire 2,000 mile border
😊
Much as gracias carnal, X documentar esto, aydastes mucho a Mejico con tu visita a Las Tijuana's!! Amigo de Alabama!!
Born and raised in Imperial Beach, Ca. The seaside town on the other side of that wall.

LOOK at you getting the goods like Big Peter S. ! Long way from the Islands bro! Enjoy and see you on the road bro!
yeah Peter's channel's great! I'm following your Bahamas series! When will you be back in the Philippines?
@@travelescapesOFFICIAL Not sure yet, im shooting for the Christmas timeframe.. It all depends on my owners and where they want to sail to.. IF they take breaks then ill take a break and come home.. for now... Full time live aboard Life.. Cheers bro
I will never forgive trump for bulldozing his way through Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, a national treasure ,and a beautiful rare ecosystem for his stupid border wall . What he did to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument is on par with bulldozing Yosemite valley, or bulldozing the geysers in Yellowstone.
This is one small part of the border. I think this area has very few folks crossing. But thank you for taking the time to paint a picture. I wonder if (Vice)has a video of the underground and human trafficking that goes on. I am sure it would be shoking.
Yes, this is only one small section of the wall. It doesn't represent the entire 2,000 mile border
Just suscribed bro
On the Mexican side there’s a taco, on the American side there’s a Tahoe😂
Did you know that, that vehicle is a Filipino favourite. They call it…….T-A-H-O😂😂😂
hahaha ... this observation made me laugh haha... Taho is the street dessert in the Philippines though!
Hey Jon! Good to see you again. So you are in Mexico. your vlog is informative as well as entertaining, but I hope you still find reasons to come back to the PHILIPPINES. You belong with us. 😉😉😉 Nice to hear you speak Spanish, though.
