Sir, you have just been introduced to Ms. Streisand, the best female singer of this generation
More like three generations.
He doesn't understand because she has a classical voice and pronounces the words.
Barbra is an accomplished actor and singer. She has performed in movies and on Broadway. She is one of handful of artists to have earned all of the top performing arts awards, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony (EGOT). I love her version of You Don't Bring Me Flowers and The Way We Were
ALSO PRODUCED, DIRECTOR, ACT IN THE MOVIE..😊
She is incomparable to any Woman performer today.Nobody can TOUCH her!
Love them both and “Woman in Love.”
@@danevans5823FACT!
@danevans5823 this a song she sang I 1 of her movies, she sang in allow her movie. Look up her credits and awards
She has a phenomenal catalog spanning decades and has done amazing duets with Barry Gibb, Donna Summer, kris Kristofferson Celine Dion. Such an amazing talent ❤️
And Bryan Adams❤
And Neil Diamond
@@reneeeiier4818she went to high school with him
She is undoubtedly the greatest female singer of all times!! No one can compare!
Barbra does NOT sound like anyone. She is unique.
The control she has is unmatched. Did she even take a breath here?? She’s incredible!
Barbara is a singer AND actress. She is better known for her singing! My favorite song of her is The Way We Were!.
Plus, she was also nominated for an Oscar for movie director, which would have made her the first woman. But she didn't get it.
Barbra, not Barbara
@@charbenz2768 - and the academy didn't want to give her the award, for that fact alone; she was a woman..
Her Name is Barbra
She WAS the first woman to win a Golden Globe Award for Directing the movie Yentl.
She was a Broadway star, who then started releasing albums, while becoming a movie actress, and later a producer and one of the early female movie directors. She is one of the first and few EGOT's, Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony and is an absolute legend. You need to watch her sing duets with Barry Gibb from the BeeGees, you'll be happy starting there. She and Celine Dion's duet Tell Him, her duets with Donna Summers, there she's got 60 years of recordings to find and listen to with just about every other legend you can think of.
She is a legend. I have been a fan of hers for many many years. No one sings like Ms. Barbra ❤❤❤❤
Great song! Barbra Streisand is one of the true mega stars. She has spanned over 6 decades of music. This lady has a fabulous voice & can sing many genres of music. She is a singer, actress & filmmaker & one of the few performers to have received awards in multiple fields of entertainment (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony). Love the musicals she was in especially "Funny Girl" & "Hello Dolly". She has so many great songs that were hits & she has done numerous duets with famous people.
Friend, You just hit on THE most famous singer out there. She spans over 60 yrs of work, all of which is pure perfection.
Barbara Streisand is an iconic legend!!!! Listen to her duet with Barry Gibb from Bee Gees, Guilty. And her duet with Donna Summer, Enough is Enough.
Try spelling her name correctly.

Sorry...do you have to be so rude? Unbelievable! You're the perfect example why people have no faith in humanity.
BRO, No matter what she sings, people listen!
"The Way We Were" was one I really loved; and "You Don't Bring Me Flowers", a duet with Neil Diamond! Who, by the way is a star in his own making! ("Sweet Caroline"; "Crackling Rosie"; "Cherry Baby"; "Song Sung Blue";.......)
"Another likes and a whole lot of subscribers for you!"
The divine Ms Streisand is amazing. This song is from Cats. She has a deep catalog including songs with Barry Gibb. My all time favourite is The Way We Were from the movie of the same name. If I need a good cry that’s the movie that I go for.
She is an EGOT. she has an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony.
That’s a perfect vocal instrument right there. Periodt. ❤❤❤
A magical voice! She is known as a singing diva. Acting was more secondary. Another popular hit was People 💕
People wasn't a hit, and acting only came because she was a huge singing success
@MoMoMyPup10 "People" wasn't a hit??! It most certainly was, and is one of her top signature songs from that decade. And acting was her preference; she only resorted to singing to put food in her mouth until an acting opportunity came along. She just happened to be so good at singing, it became her mainstay, but she always describes herself as "An actress who sings."
People was a hit and I think her signature song. Love it 💕💕💕
Acting was more secondary...except that she was the best paid actress in the world during twenty years.
@donnamentrasti2695. You’re absolutely right. “People” is her “signature” song and one of her best 😊❤❤❤
Barbra is everything, she’s what show business is all about. On stage, on the silver screen, on Broadway, in music, behind the camera as director, writer, singer-actress, multi-awarded, a Superstar, a living legend, and still famous and working up to present. The ultimate artist of all time. ❤❤❤
You are about to embark down the delicious and versatile rabbit hole known as the career of Barbra Streisand. She has sung just about every genre of music... Broadway, Classical, Pop, Soft Rock, R&B, Jazz, Disco, even a little Country and Reggae. Hope to hear more Barbra on your channel and am subscribing. Enjoyed your reaction.
Yentl. She starred in this movie and her singing was phenomenal. I cry when she sings "Papa can you hear me?".
Love Love Love this song and this lady !! Chills- Goosebumps !
There's a reason she's one of the biggest stars of all time.
The incomparable barbra Streisand Stage screen recording artist Her voice hasn't changed since she 1st hit the Broadway stage in the 1,960s This song is excellent for 1⁄1 Streisand moment you also have the way we were Where she didn't sing at all in that movie but she sung The title track She worked with celine Dion the bee gees Baby face of actors have some with Barbara stars in it You are in for a great ride
Barbra is a superstar to the nth power!! This song is from Andrew Lloyd's Webber play, "Cats" and it is a poignant song sung by an older, female cat, thinking about her lifetime. I have admired Ms.Barbra all my life as my big sister played her albums and was a big fan of hers. She is an amazing actor, director, writer, producer, and singer! (I hope I didn't leave anything out!) My favorite song is from the movie, "A Star is Born," - EVERGREEN. Thanks for a great reaction to this song and Ms.Barbra! ❤
'Evergreen' from the 1976 movie " A Star is Born" with Kris Kristofferson. She is as mad as a cut snake but the voice is perfection.
BARBRA can sing anything. All these years later, I still get goosies.
She has had an incredibly long and successful career which began in the early 1960's when she began singing in New York City supper clubs, a very big deal at that time. From there she continued onto Broadway where she exploded onto the scene portraying famed turn of the century comic and singer Fanny Brice in the show "Funny Girl" which in turn was turned into a hit film winning her the Oscar for Best Actress (tying with Katharine Hepburn the only time that's happened) after which she was a Top 10 box office star throughout the 70's with a string of hit films while continuing to record-she is the only female artist to score a #1 album in each of the last six decades! She has also ventured into directing as well as producing and just published her long awaited autobiography.
She has a long list of hits though most everything she has recorded is worth listening to. A good sampling of where to begin becoming more familiar with her would include:
"The Way We Were"-an enormous success for her remaining at #1 for 8 weeks.
"People"-Her first big hit, she introduced the song in "Funny Girl"
"He Touched Me"
"What Are You Doing the Rest of Your Life"
"Evergreen"-another #1 for her, she co-wrote the song.
"You Don't Bring Me Flowers"-a duet with Neil Diamond and another #1
"Woman in Love"-a collaboration with Barry Gibb and again a song that went to #1
Also considering the time of the year, in 1967 she put out "A Christmas Album" which is packed with exquisitely beautiful renditions of many Yuletide classic songs.
She is iconic fabulous and unmatched in talent. 💜
Evergreen is one of her iconic songs, as is People. A lot of her songs are classic Broadway type things, much like this one. But she can also do pop songs. She's done great duets with Donna Summer (Enough is Enough), Barry Gibb (Guilty), and Celine Dion (Tell Him). Her voice is truly a marvel.
I believe Barbra is an EGOT (winning Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony awards). She's a pop, Broadway, American Songbook singer for the most part. Barbra hit the charts in the 1960s and never stopped, my mom used to listen to her on repeat 8-track (hahaha).
This song is from the musical Cats and I think it still holds the record for longest on-Broadway run.
Barbra Streisand is a singer, actress, producer, director, and writer.
With a career spanning over six decades, she has achieved success in multiple fields of entertainment and is among the few performers awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony (EGOT).
With the release of the movie Yentl (1983), Streisand became the first woman to write, produce, direct, and star in a major studio film. Streisand also received the Golden Globe Award for Best Director, becoming the first (and for 37 years, the only) woman to win that award. Streisand later directed The Prince of Tides (1991) and The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996).
With sales exceeding 150 million records worldwide, Streisand is one of the best-selling recording artists of all time. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she is the second-highest certified female artist in the United States, with 68.5 million certified album units. Billboard ranked Streisand as the greatest solo artist on the Billboard 200 chart and the top Adult Contemporary female artist of all time.
Her accolades include two Academy Awards; 10 Grammy Awards, including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and the Grammy Legend Award; five Emmy Awards; four Peabody Awards; the Presidential Medal of Freedom; and nine Golden Globes.
She was a singer first, then actress :) ..her song "The Way We Were" and "Evergreen" are both very well known renditions.
Streisand is a legendary singer - all genres! Powerhouse voice. Check out "Tell Him" - a duet with Celine Dion, and "Somewhere."
Loooove this suggestion!!
A Star is Born and Funny Girl really put forth her talent❤️
Streisand is a legend, singer, actor, producer, director. Check out some songs from the Way We Were and A Star is Born.
Barbra ranks among the few EGOT winners - people who have earned one of each of the biggest honors in the four areas of the entertainment industry: an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony.
Barbra is an awesome singer first, amazing actress second. I loved both in her movie with Kris Kristofferson, 'A star is born'. They did it before Lady Gaga did & I love Barbra & Kris's version best. Great movie. This specific song is used in the Broadway musical 'Cats'.
MEMORY is from the Broadway musical CATS. Awesome song..The character is an old worn out cat named Grizabella the Glamour cat. You should check out Elaine Page singing this song from the musical...FIRE and ORANGE JUICE splashing!!!
And Betty Buckley, will give chills.
She is a multi-talented ENTERTAINER. 🙂
Barbra's voice just sends chills down the spine.
This song is for her Broadway album. She sang hit songs from Broadway musicals. Memory is from Cats
She had a golden voice, extremely controlled but fluid . Her fans will remember her voice was like Butter. She has better songs. This is from a Broadway musical CATS that was huge in the 80s
'The Way We Were' and 'Guilty' are some of her best!❤
Not her best by far. "People" from from Funny Girl is a classic and is really her signature song. And from the same soundtrack..."My Man" another classic Barbra song.

Guess it's based on opinions because According to comments many people said the same as I did!
@@sheHerTheyThem Of course music preference is based upon opinion but I will bet that younger people have not heard most of her earlier songs. People tend to listen to the ones that are reacted to over and over again.
@@andreaschmall5560 well I'm not claiming to be young but I do have diverse music preferences including Ren, Arlo Parks, Cardi and many others.. GOOD music transcends age hence people remaking Over The Rainbow, or The Great Satchmo Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World. It's presumptuous to think music is based on age..or is that just naive of you😉🤔
Barbra Streisand is an incredible singer as well as being and actress and director. As many times as I've heard her sing this song it still gives me chills. The song Memory is from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Cats". Beside the dramas and comedies she starred in, she also starred in quite a few musicals like Funny Girl, Hello Dolly, Yentl, and On a Clear Day You Can See Forever. Other songs by her are Evergreen, The Way We Were, My Heart Belongs to Me, Woman in Love, You Don't Bring Me Flowers (duet with Neil Diamond), No More Tears - Enough is Enough (duet with Donna Summer) and Guilty (duet with Barry Gibb).
I'm reading her memoir right now. It's great! I love all her duets with Barry Gibb of The Bee Gees!!!
Barbra Streisand "SOMEDAY" ❤❤❤
Babs is fire. So glad you are starting here. Listen to her duets - I have a fondness for "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" but all are amazing!
Memories is from the Broadway musical Cats.
One of my favorite song by Barbara Is The Way We Were and the movie by the same title is Awesome and a tear jerker ❤
Barbra is all of the above and more! Great actor, amazing singer, incredible director, successful producer, songwriter. EGOT!
My favorite song by her is Evergreen from the original movie A Star Is Born.
One of my favorite movies is the non-musical comedy "What's Up Doc?". I will point out that the musical, "Yentl", doesn't get the recognition it deserves! It's a fabulous story and Barbra sings! You've never heard of "Funny Girl"? "People (who need people are the luckiest people...)", "Don't Reign on My Parade" are from the musical about the life of Fanny Brice that Barbra famously starred in; she reprised her role in the movie.
Couldn't count how many times I've seen "What's Up Doc?" I never grow tired of it!

Can you fix a hi-fi?
No.
Then shut up!
😂
No Disney princes could sing like Barbra! She's the greatest singer of all!
I don't understand how it is possible not to know a masterpiece like this, in More Barbra Streisand is known worldwide as one of the best performers ever, not knowing her music is not a good sign.
You need to listen to her duet with Donna Summer called No More Tears (Enough is Enough). It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in November 1979
One of the best female vocalists of this century. She's a phenomenon.
You've ever seen Meet the Fockers she is in the second one she is the mom.. one of the funniest movies ever
Love your reaction to Barbra You have to listen to My man from the movie funny girl omg its my favorite song by ms. Streisand ❤🔥🔥🔥she is a fabulous actress and singer
One of the 1st songs I fell in love with from Barbra was People, from the movie Funny Girl w/Omar Sherif. And there are a lot of songs from her movie Yentl that are amazing, Papa Can You Hear Me is the 1st one to come to mind. Wow, she has such a catalog that you could start anywhere & find a hit. I hope you will continue to explore her music as she has an incredible voice.
Your facial expression when she started singing was worth this watch. 😊
Love Barbra
You just have to hear her sing A Piece of Sky from the movie Yentl. You will be blown away.
OMG I love her in that movie.
This is one of the saddest songs, and most beautiful, that I've ever heard ! It's from the musical Cats
From November 1981. Try her 1979 duet with Donna Summer from her album “Wet”: a nine-minute diva fest. Or a January 1971 duet with herself: One Less Bell to Answer/A House Is Not a Home.
One of the greatest singers of all time singing one of the greatest songs every written !
She sings a duet with Neil Diamond. You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore. They did a live version at a Award show. It is in my top 20 of all time favorite songs great reaction
My absolute favorite of her is from Hello Dolly. “So Long, Dearie.” It upbeat and fun.
Also worth a listen are the themes from the 1970's version of "A Star is Born" and "The Way we were"
This song is from the Broadway play Cats. It is from her album of Broadway covers. Sh is a singer and actress. Her main music style is pop. She is an American treasurer
The song is from the musical "CATS" and one of her most, memorable songs.🎶🎶Check out her duet with Donna Sumners " ENOUGH IS ENOUGH "
You have a beautiful voice my dear! blessings to you
You for sure have to listen to her duet with Celine Dion called Tell Him! It's amazing!
Probably the most consistently successful female singer ever .
No dobt about it, she is amazing with many hits.❤
The best singer i ever heard the best heard her when i was 14 yrs old and mesmerized by her 46 yrs later still my favorite and wow whatan actress
"You don't bring me flowers." Duet with Neil Diamond.
I cry every time I hear her sing "Papa Can You Hear Me?" from her movie Yentl, which I believe she wrote, directed, and starred in. It's even more of a tearjerker since my own father died. It's about feeling alone in the world and scared. And of course, missing your dad.
Barbra is kind of like the white Diana Ross… she’s been around the block and back again and she’s a master singer and actress. One of the best-selling recording artists of all time in the US.
Back when you did "Islands In The Stream and you said they should not put two icons together.... it was music overload.....
Now, check out "You Don't Bring Flowers" with Neil Diamond. When I was a kid, you could not have one with out the other.
Although her duet with Celine Dion is just as crazy good......
Barbara once did a charity concert and they calculated that each note she sang was worth $1000 .
Barbara is FIRE!!! AND Yentl is still my favorite movie of hers.
Any song you hear from Barbra is a delight. She can sing without music. First she stood out as a singer, then she became an actress and finally a Director of wonderful films. You should look back at his entire career and react to his duets with Judy Garland, Ray Charles, Neil Diamont, Barry Gibb, Celine Dion, Brian Adams and others. Is there an artist more complete than her? I doubt it. She is a showbiz legend! She is the best! Greetings from Tandil, Argentina! 🇦🇷🤗
Her voice ❤ She has so much control over the vocals and it sounds effortless. Whis it is not. Listen to more of her. It's wonderful.
She is an actress. However, she is also a wonderful singer. This song is from the movie and play Cats.
Never will you hear a voice like hers again 45 yrs listening to her i was 14 yrs old Mezmerized by her at the movies went back 7 times yes 7 times to see and hear her
Both,shes a legend!!!!!!
I wish Ms. Steisand can see this reaction ! You are fab!!
Thank you!
I'm listening to here person in memories and I've seen a interview of her Where she sung a duet with her son called how deep is the ocean That should be your next song It is a absolutely positively beautiful loving tribute for how much love there is between her and her son for each other
Some of my favorite songs sung by Barbra Streisand are "People," "Don't Rain On My Parade," "My Man," "He Touched Me," "Cry Me A River," "A Taste Of Honey," "Happy Days Are Here Again," "A Sleepin' Bee," "When The Sun Comes Out," "Where Or When," "On A Clear Day You Can See Forever," "I Never Has Seen Snow," "Songbird," "One Less Bell To Answer/A House Is Not A Home," "The Way We Were," "Evergreen," "A Piece Of Sky," "If I Loved You," "Somewhere," "Not While I'm Around," "I Have Dreamed/We Kiss In A Shadow," "Can't Help Loving That Man," "As If We Never Said Goodbye," and "I Still Can See Your Face."
Goosebumps every time. Love her acting too. She always has crazy good chemistry with her leading men. 🔥 My favorite song is Evergreen and movie is What's Up Doc? ❤❤
My favorite movies are 'The Way We Were' and 'A Star is Born'
and Yentyl for a trifecta!
Papa, Can You Hear Me? Is probably my favorite song. She started out as a singer, then began acting, then produced and directed. She is in her 80s but she was the best of her generation.
Yes, she had an entire singing career before she started acting and directing. One of the best voices EVER. Do the fantastic Enough is Enough duet with Donna Summer.
Goosebumps!
I love her version of The Way We Were!
Singer, actress, Broadway performer, musical and movie producer, movie director. Her first movie Funny Girl won her the Best Actress Oscar. Great movie with wonderful music. Fabulous comedic actress as well. Very private person always.
She gets me so emotional I want to cry, it reminds me of my childhood, I was a huge Barbara fan.
The song is from the musical Cats.
I heard “People” on the jukebox in 1964 and been a fan ever since. Best voice ever.
Please listen to Barbra sing One Less Bell to Answer. Outstanding! Barbra has been my favorite singer since the 70s.
Barbra does everything, and she does it all well - sing, act, direct, produce, write. She is one of a small club - an EGOT winner. This song is from the Broadway musical Cats, she became a star playing Fanny Brice in the Broadway musical Funny Girl at 21, and then in the movie version. She also played the lead and wrote songs for a remake of A Star Is Born in 1976. One of her many albums was Classical Barbra, and she also did duets with Donna Summer, Neil Diamond, Barry Gigg, and Neil Diamond, among others. Show tunes, rock, disco, classical, she can sing it all better than most.
Absolutely love the blue background.
Barbra Streisand has such a marvelous set of vocals. Her breath control and range are so impressive and man what a songwriter. Barbra Streisand has written songs for other great artists also. She wrote the theme song to the movie "A Star Is Born" (The one released in 1976, in which Barbra Streisand & Kris Kristofferson starred as lead) for which she won her second Academy Award and became the first woman to be honored as a composer. Here's another one of her songs, if interested. *"Barbra Streisand - The Way We Were Live 1986 480p" (by the channel: Timeless Music)* She ventured into film by the end of the 1960's and starred in the Critically Acclaimed film Funny Girl for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress in 1968. and her acting career took off from there. As always it was fun chilling with you and listening to great tunes, AB. Thanks for sharing.
