This beautiful song- I’ve heard dozens of times- still get the chills every time I hear it. Magnifico! I looked up the words to this song; it’s not about lovers breaking up, but about places they are visiting & must leave, to travel on together-“time to say goodbye” to journey on to their next destination ❤️
My thoughts exactly match your reaction and summation! I’ve seen this a hundred times…and my heart swells each time. Glad to know my emotions are universal!
before my mom passed she told me all about when she was a little girl (she lived in Brooklyn ,New York ) her father would take her to the opera House in the city and she grew up loving it! Grand father when he was young in the 1920s he saw The Great Enrico Caruso ! Grand father didn't speak much English just Italian so he knew the words! I could see you really loved this! Ms. Sarah Brightman is so Awesome I could listen to her all night !! And as always Great reaction
Sir Harri, you left the Solar System to bring this performance from Heaven. I am crushed by this beautiful song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I absolutely love this song. I also love Andrea Bocelli. His voice is amazing. You should listen to his CDs. Sarah Brightman is amazing as well. This song introduced me to her.
The arrangement for the performance of Bocelli and Brightman is fantastic. The french horns have a beautiful part. Glad to find another person who appreciates french horns. On Bocelli's first album of this song the same orchestral arrangement is used. The french horns are the tell, as is the opening. I have listened to other singers sing this song with other orchestral arrangements and the french horns are not emphasized.
@@jrg4313 Years ago my wife and I were on a cruise ship down in Cabo San Lucas. I had brought a portable cd player and as the ship was leaving Cabo I was on our balcony and blasted this song. It was inspiring.
Thanks. I had nearly forgot that such beautiful music excist 😊 BTW, they stopped at the same time beacause they all FELT the music. Together. All 150 persons, solists, orchestra and choir in perfect unison. 😊❤
Present day Andrea: check out "Fall On Me", his duet with his son Matteo... it's breathtaking... A beautiful Sarah duet is "Pie Jesu" from her one-time husband Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem, sung with treble Paul Miles Kingston...
I have the CD "Romanza" Love the all the songs even though I'm not a huge fan of opera and I don't speak Italian. You should listen to it. Sarah Brightman has the voice of an angel.
Wonderful...truly. Dear Harri, I enjoy watching your reviews. Good music is about the emotion it causes by the listener, I read often. This piece certainly is in that category. Is not all art about the emotion - either direct or indirect but music speaks very direct to you like this duet. I listen widely to music ranging from Classic, to Jazz, Country, Rock, Rhumba (DRCongo), Arabic desert music and so forth but the music score as it meanders around and lifts these two voices is grandiose :) Try Andrea Bocelli when he sings solo the classic Can't help falling in love with you, live when he was a bit older.....
At the time I worked at a music shop, similar to Virgin, when a customer asked for an album by that opera singer that had an arrogant look. Apparently, they didn’t know Bocelli is blind. 😅
I can listen to this every day, still gives me chills. And I appreciated that you did not stop this performance til the end to give your response. Just so magnificent! The ending high note is heavenly , amazing!
I’m more into guitar music like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, (80’s) U2 but this has always been one of my favourite songs of all time. It also reminds me of my beautiful nan who was the best. She passed 15 years ago and just missed being and seeing her first great grand child- my beautiful oldest daughter. It makes me sad because like I said she was the best but I am truly blessed for the amazing memories we all have with her in our lives just wished she was here now so my 2 girls could have her in their lives. Sorry for going on folks but this song brings back so many memories. God bless you nan I love you
Another lovely Sarah recording is her version of the "Titanic" theme, which she performed in Italian; the title in Italian is "Il Mio Cuore Va"... Other Sarah: "Only An Ocean Away", "All I Ask Of You", et cetera...
It is impossible to watch and enjoy this video without both smiling and shedding a tear or two! Great reaction to this beautiful performance by a couple of marvelous entertainers at their finest! Both of these two are worth reacting to any time any place! For Sarah look for any song she did from Phantom of the Opera! Cheers, Harri!
Obviously they rehearsed it, so beautifully. Yes, it's amazing and wonderful. The song is apparently very sad, & many people in Italy play this song for funerals.
Oh Yes Pie Jesusfrom Requiem is great too. Thanks for a beautiful reaction video. Not sung by Sarah but I like Love Never Dies from the underrated Phanto. Of the Oper sequel ( Same character in the saga though)
I love what you said about music Harry. The wonderful thing is we can enjoy all kinds of music. I live blues, funk, rock, heavy metal, opera, classical, international and British invasion. It's a beautiful and musical world.
This song was actually an original Italian song “Con Te Partirò”(I Will Leave/Depart With You) that bella presented at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1995, an annual Italian song competition that started in 1951 and is what the Eurovision Music Festival is based on. It only finished in 4th place during the contest but became by far the best selling song from that festival and one of most iconic Italian songs ever. I actually saw Andrea Bocelli in the Puccini opera Madama Butterfly where he played the main tenor role of Lieutenant Pinkerton to perfection. Bravissimo!🇮🇹👍🏻
He can see, he just doesn't have eyes. Close your eyes and feel the music like he does, like all blind people do. How did Beethoven write the 9th when he was deaf? Same gift from the Gods.
This is the best reaction you have done!! This is total classical. Karolina Protsenko has a video of her doing this song on the violin, it also is great.
💥💥💯💥💥 Try the Three Tenors, or Luciano Pavarotti singing Caruso. Andre Rieu and Johann Strauss orchestra with Kimmy Skota singing Ave Maria is so beautiful.
I love your reactions… You should look up the lyrics & the translation- it’s not about lovers breaking up; that’s what I thought initially. It’s lovers leaving places they have visited. Their singing is breathtaking ❤️❤️
You'll listen to this again dude, many times, i've listened to it many times. Look for a song called Miserere and another one called Canto Della Terra. Enjoy
Really WELL DONE, My Friend because I have Subscribed from London from the start of your wondrous journey and I have learned to skip your mid-song thoughts if I feel it affects the flow and continuity but always listened to your final verdict and comments but this time I was (almost ) PRAYING you really got into this magnificent performance without pausing it and you did not, Thank Heavens and what a joy it was and then I listened to your intelligent views afterwards. Please react to "Nessun Dorma" by Pavarotti or by the fun version by "The Three Tenors" but PROMISE not to pause either as they are only 3 minutes long but outstanding :) Good Luck Harri...
Sarah was the original female performer in Phantom of the Opera. That's where she met Andrew Lloyd Webber the procedure. Listen to her singing in that musical.
The song is actually not about lovers breaking up! That’s what I thought initially; it’s about 2 lovers traveling together & saying goodbye to the places they’ve visited & traveling to their next destination 🩷
Rehearsal and they both have performed it many times. The song was written for him. She was the original Christine in Phantom of the Opera. Try listening to Luciano Pavarotti perform Nessun Dorma. The Maestro is fantastico!
this isn't actual opera. these are classical crossover singers. they sing opera, pop and sacred songs. Sarah is one of many Welsh singers. Wales is a small country, part of the UK, with just 3 million people. it's known as 'the Land Of Song'. Tom Jones is Welsh. my favourite Welsh crossover singer, is the Mezzo soprano, Katherine Jenkins. she once did a duet with Andrea, 'I Believe'. but as well as that, you should react to her live performance of 'Angel' at the O2 Arena, London. if you want to hear some actual opera, i would suggest reacting to a duet, by Anna Netrebko and Elina Garanca, called the Flower duet
I love the voice of Katherine Jenkins. Wales produces a lot of singers. Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin is Welsh. I also love the voice of Monserrat Caballe.
The Prayer by Andrea and Celine is another great one. Written by the great David Foster and his ex wife, (I think) specifically for those 2. I could listen to this and the Prayer all day. Someone else suggested Fall on Me by Andrea and his son Matteo, it's beautiful as well 💜💜
Great reaction. Props for not interrupting the parts with commentary as most do. Also after the marvellous contribution to the world of Black music it is wonderful to see you appreciate another form.
I don't care what genre's of music you like this is one of the best songs of all time.
If you’re not moved by this you’re not breathing! I can watch this a thousand times and have same reaction.
I have never been an opera fan to be honest, but I have to agree. This is just magically beautiful.
Me too it is amazing ♥️
Agreed
Sarah embracing Andrea .... it's for the ages
Wasn't this just fantastic. What a dynamic duo.
I could listen to those two sing the phone book...and this song...my God...lot of good music in the world, but this is near the top of everything...
This is SO beautiful. Their voices are sublime.
I watched six different presenters tonight, and all had the same reaction. I did also, six times.
My thoughts exactly match your reaction and summation! I’ve seen this a hundred times…and my heart swells each time. Glad to know my emotions are universal!
I saw Sarah Brightman in concert in NYC. So great and such a theatrical show!
before my mom passed she told me all about when she was a little girl (she lived in Brooklyn ,New York ) her father would take her to the opera House in the city and she grew up loving it! Stunning!
I have watched this performance many times and still trill to hear it.
Two of the greatest performances ever in the genera of opera.
I'm not an opera fan but I was so moved by these singers, this song. Thank you for sharing.
I have watched this video at least 1000 times and I still get Goose bumps when Sarah hits the high notes. Perfect coupling on this song.
Sir Harri, you left the Solar System to bring this performance from Heaven. I am crushed by this beautiful song. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
One of my favourite duet songs. sarah Brightman is famous in her own rite.
As well as famous in her own Right....:)
Absolutely beautiful !!!! Brings me to tears
This made my heart swell up, literally and some tears too, just the beauty of it! Thanks, I needed this!
I absolutely love this song. I also love Andrea Bocelli. His voice is amazing. You should listen to his CDs. Sarah Brightman is amazing as well. This song introduced me to her.
Two beautiful, masterful voices that meld perfectly as one. Can never get tired of listening to this.
That moment when you first hear Andrea's voice. ..
Boom.
Just lovely.
Amazing talents.
This is 🔥 Just So Beautiful !! Sarah Brightman with Antonio Banderas singing Phantom of the Opera is another Awesome one too !! 😊💯
Andrea Bocelli!!
Thanks for sharing this, Beautiful moving song. One for the ages.
I remember this was pretty big in the U.S. when it first came out. I'd hear it all the time on rock stations.
Stunningly beautiful.....Sometimes it just falls from the stars...Bravo...
Excellent choice. You are in a very good vibe this week. First, you found Angelina Jordan and now Andrea Bocceli. Good for u. 👍
😀
Music from heaven ! Played it at my mothers funeral. It was one of her favorites, and mine. I do not tire of hearing it. Thank you so much!!!
An amazing performance and I just love the tone of the French Horns.

yes! magnificent.
This brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear it. Every, single, time.
Loved your reaction. Thanks for sharing that. 👍
Loved your reaction. Of course, they stop on a dime because they are counting the beats.
Its called music which has a score that they do practise. Silly comment actually.
You said it Harry voice of an ANGEL both of them well done good reaction I’m a new subscriber ❤️🙏🇨🇦
Thanks. I had nearly forgot that such beautiful music excist 😊 BTW, they stopped at the same time beacause they all FELT the music. Together. All 150 persons, solists, orchestra and choir in perfect unison. 😊❤
Amazing stuff
She really ,loved him,whe he sang,.like she really appreciated him.
It's so sad that he is blind. I reckon God gave him an incredible voice to compensate.
She squeezed his hand! Great reaction I must say,,, at least you did no stop over again in the piece.
Great singing together..Opera is variable enjoyment for me..
The most beautiful performance I have ever heard,
Harry Mamma Mia :-) Respect from Italy
Present day Andrea: check out "Fall On Me", his duet with his son Matteo... it's breathtaking...

Sarah's voice is so powerful. It amazes me
Sarah was married to Andrew Lloyd Webber . She and Andrea are a singing match made in heaven.
Bienvenido al mundo de la ópera, aunque empieces por ópera pop....la belleza y el sentimiento están en ambas... Un placer ver tu reacción.
Un instant de grace
Not my first time ! I have collected Sarah's music for years now...Loved them all , and his as well..
At the time I worked at a music shop, similar to Virgin, when a customer asked for an album by that opera singer that had an arrogant look.
Apparently, they didn’t know Bocelli is blind. 😅
I help support a blind woman whose eyes are closed and I can't count the times people have asked if she's sleeping
I can listen to this every day, still gives me chills. And I appreciated that you did not stop this performance til the end to give your response. Just so magnificent! The ending high note is heavenly , amazing!
HARRY...been waiting for you to do something like this 👏👏👏😎
top shelf!

has to be the greatest vocal duet of all time it doesnt get any better than that in terms of technical vocals.
Peace & love my beloved HARRI! I first heard this in the 90’s. Stopped my world. So amazing a duo, and such a beautiful, heartfelt song! 💕
This song always makes me cry, it is so beautiful.
Another lovely Sarah recording is her version of the "Titanic" theme, which she performed in Italian; the title in Italian is "Il Mio Cuore Va"...
Other Sarah: "Only An Ocean Away", "All I Ask Of You", et cetera...
I believe she started as a dancer, married Andrew Lloyd Webber and was the first Christine in 'The Phanom of the Opera' with Michael Crawford.
The best " Christine " ever!!
Beautiful!!
Magnificent

Bellissima reazione. :)

Sarah was watching him and following his lead singing, knowing where to start and stop.
Sarah Brightmann has made duets with Cliff Richard and Antonio Banderas both worth a listen
Canto Della Terra by Andrea is a must listen
I love your reactions…
You should look up the lyrics & the translation- it’s not about lovers breaking up; that’s what I thought initially. It’s lovers leaving places they have visited.
Their singing is breathtaking ❤️❤️
Sarah Brightman is whom I want to be when I grow up. 😢
He has been in oprah's. Thay say he knew when to move, where to move. So it dosent surprised me thay stop singing at the same time.❤❤❤❤
Sarah did a duet with cliff Richard. I love it that she diversified.

And if this is earth's music, what must heaven's be like?
omg, they don t stop because a sign, you feel and here the partner and orchestra to stop
Give a listen to "The Last Words You Said" by the same two voices. Very mellow. And it's all in English so you'll understand what they are singing.
Sarah was the original female performer in Phantom of the Opera. That's where she met Andrew Lloyd Webber the procedure. Listen to her singing in that musical.
