Hey mate, great unboxing. Glad you like the merch and I'm look forward to hearing your thoughts in a week's time. BTW, the bottom sub dial is a second time zone when in timekeeping mode, and the really tiny A/P subdial is AM or PM for that time zone. Additionally, the bottom dial also helps keep track of elapsed time in stopwatch mode and time left in count down timer mode 😉

Brilliant - thanks for clarifying this. After learning it was for AM/PM, it still wasn’t making sense for the main home time! That explains it - It represents the Dual Time zone.

I keep all my G-Shock packaging. For the limited edition or expensive watches I put the boxes in airtight containers for additional protection. The small dial is an AM/PM indicator. The GST-B200 is also a lovely watch BTW. I think after the B200 they have gone downhill, in my opinion.

It turns out the Subdial is for a second “dual time” zone, and you’re right, the tiny dial is AM/PM (in reference to the dual time zone, to add clarity 👌)

Another watch to consider if you want a utilitarian look but not all the bling is the GR-B300 Gravitymaster. Its the GST-B100 in a different case.

That is a beautiful gshock, some out of my style and very out of my budget, i like more digitals gshocks, i got only one ana-digi on my collection. I keep some of the boxes but the most of my g came without one cause i like purchase used and some of the sellers don't include the box. The little A/P dial is to indicate AM-PM, like the 24h wheel of my Vostok.
For setting the timer and other times, I assume you first have to enter edit mode like a digital watch, then turn the crown (that's the name of the right button) to set it.
That little subdual probably indicates the alarm time while in the standard time mode.
If you put the right model in the poll, I think that it would have won with a wider margin.
This as the gold looks very blingy and out of place, but the stainless steel looks epic and fitting.

Bingo! It turns out that’s correct. And to get specific, it’s the AM/PM of the Dual Time zone represented on the lower subdial.
To set the timer, I’ve found you need to remove and make adjustments using the crown (which has 2 degrees of popping-out).
So when you’re in Home Time, the subdial represents Dual Time, and in Timer or Stopwatch, it takes over to represent the minutes there. 👌
That’s a great point, actually! TBH I considered that the opposite may be true too - as there are many fans of Carbon Fibre too 😁👌
Only one thing is for sure… The GST-B100 barely won, and I’m really happy it did because I’m loving this watch so far! 🙌

@@goatreviews so it has a dual time zone (easiest to set with the app) and the lil dial is for am/pm another feature is when you press find the fan moves and the more color it shows under the fan, its more charged.
one thing im not sure of..
i thought i need to connect it to my phone/app to set the time but the bluetooth in my phone is always off so maybe it has radio or idk how..
while the phones bluetooth is on you can press find and it makes your phone ring, you probebly already know that feature..

Yeah that’s a good point, actually! I’d have expected it to be a Screw Back as well. 👌
It would appear that it’s just the bezel that is made of steel, and the caseback screws into the traditional G-Shock case material.
