Dragon Roost Island - flamenco guitar cover

- I had a request to do a flamenco guitar cover of Dragon Roost Island after posting a cover of Gerudo Valley a couple years ago. It just made sense, you know? The original already has a groove just like Fandangos de Huelva. I still get yearly cravings to bust out the GameCube and play Wind Waker, just to hear the music.
Last time, the video was all photos from Spain, but this time, well ... my family and I have very conveniently just gone on vacation to Ireland.
Dragon Roost Island Theme, from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The music for the game was composed by Kenta Nagata, Hajime Wakai, Toru Minegishi, and Koji Kondo.
The intro segment is the Rito Village Theme from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, composed by Kenta Nagata and Yasuaki Iwata.

Dragon Roost Island is where the Rito lived in the Wind Waker. A rearrangement of this track is used for the Rito village in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.

I just listened to the Rito Village theme and I thought it was obvious. Although the Dragon Roost Island theme was one of my favorite songs for a long time.
First time I stepped into rito village I got fucking goosebumps. This song will always be engrained into my brain.

@@TheMSellick shoot... The only other one I can find is a potential reference to BotW horse riding field theme at 4:57, but it isn't exactly the same tune 🤷🏻♂️
David Augustus Schalkwijk Lopes you caught it right, 4:57 - it’s just a very brief quote of the great fairy theme. Plus the main theme right at the very very end in the piano!

I'm really enjoying the pictures to help me visualize what kind of place it is in real life that has this music. This is like one of the few "vacation montages" I can actually stand. And then it goes back to you playing at just the right times.

I loved to see all the Ireland photos! Made me relive my trip all over again and homesick for a place that I was only able to call home for 10 days. The amazing music with the photos just made it that much more special. (I think I stayed in a place you took a picture of, too!)
Reminds me of old history channels/ pbs with how they showed things when I was little. I really did how you show different images. It creates such a amazing atmosphere
If you don't know the Dragon Roost Island theme is the Rito Village theme all so and the over world theme in Spirit tracks.

TBH, I liked dragon roost theme more than rito village. It just feels right.

Yes! I've been looking for a flamenco version of this song for a while. Closest was DJ Jo's remix which while incredibly uptempo, was a little too electronic for my tastes.

This is really good...I loved hearing the theme again in BotW but I kinda wish it had been something that stayed more on the main theme like this.
