Particularly where Indie starts off, emotionally (if understandable, in context) He did recover, fairly well. There's no disguising the aging, of course. Or some, weariness. Whilst Phoebe's character, was a bit acerbic, and an acquired taste, maybe. Much of it, is bluster, I suspect, though.

Mangold even wentvas far as claiming that John Williams was mistaken about reshoots pertaing to the ending. Mangold could gave opted for simply not commenting instead of being untruthful. I don't see Mangold's career benefitting from having himself being pushed around by Disney and KK. He is a capable director but I doubt he ended up making the movie he wanted to make. Lame pushover.
Keep in mind when watching the new film, Mangold is a fantastic director... but he's been saddled with whatever script Kathleen Kennedy wants to see, so you know... Indiana Jones and the Insufferable Feminist™

To evolve can basically be represented by a light come. The 'birth' is of course the event horizon or the small point from which we get a big bang... then as the cone expands or the life form evolves, more and more experiences ADD to the the formation of the expanding pattern... A light cone does NOT run backwards... as it maintains a funnel shape or physics... Now evolution can stall, and a cone can 'flatten' ... so Dr Jones had MANY life experiences, MUCH education... probably above normal... SO Dr Jone's 'light cone' or evolution would be more expansive than a normal human, due to the mass experiences, schooling, study, adventure.... Typically a light cone would flatten or a person would "lose their mojo' if the life was weak, dull, lacked experience or otherwise the person was a couch potato...

Kathleen Kennedy had a gun at his temple, Disney have a weird agenda and any fantastic director they hire is told what to do.
