On 7:37 what did you use to make your own homemade watercolours? And also what is the black stick you are mixing the paint with?
lots of different ingredients pigments, binder, humectant, plasticizer, etc. Black stick? I don't know what you are referring to, I am not using any black stick :O

I had to pause and search those pastel pencils.
This series is beyond cute. I really hope to get a print of each one next year plus the Queen of hearts. Love your drawings 💙
They are Holbein colored pencils :) they are super soft so I don’t use them too often since I cannot do very sharp and detailed work with them, but they have great coverage and are super opaque. Aww thank you for the kind words! :)

Can you make another Amazon list of your specifically art supplies, like the pigments you used and what paints you use for painting and not for dolling? I think it would be helpful to separate those out for people, especially if you'll be doing more paintings :3
Definitely, I actually tried to do that a few times but Amazon changed their layout and I am still confused about how to move products in a new category without having to add every single product in a new category from scratch.

It looked like you dipped in another color when you were using your homemade teal color. It shows it dipping into something else and then coming back to the painting. This is seen in 9:10-9:14 ..
Yes I dipped my brush in water to dilute the pigment and create a nice gradient.
Are these watercolors light fast? I imgine the pastels must fade rather quickly with light.
Not sure, but even if they were marked as lightfast I'd be sceptical since I've seen so many colours that were labeled as maximum lightfastness and still faded really quickly. So nowadays I always scan the illustration as soon as it is done and put the original in a dark spot no matter if the colours were marked as lightfast or not.
@@NicollesDreamsShop thanks. I like the brightness but I would be devastated if I were to frame and display an original and lose it to the elements. But as you say, they would be great for art that will be reproduced as prints. Dr.martins radiant line are that way.
