just when you think they cannot possibly ROCK ANY HARDER, any BETTER....they do a trio with TRUJILLO!! WOW!!! true talent boys and girls,,,true talent!!
I did NOT expect them to tear into my favorite, fast part of Frayed Ends. This is addictive, inspiring, and the way the aggressive Metallica vibe is completely captured by these three instrumentalists, without much distortion, no drums, no vocals, is simply awe-inspiring. Respect.
José Martínez He was the only one who was suitable for the job literally. Look at the audition, all the others contestants didn't fit with the band at all. It would look so weird if either of them were to be selected. I'm glad Trujilo came to that audition.
I was actually at this show, 25 rows up, left of the sound board. This was an amazing end to and incredible show, Rodrigo y Gabriela are such showmen, they put on a great concert! Trujillo just capped it off!
@@gorgewashington1216 Incorrect. A snare drum will have spring tensioners on the bottom of it but it's called a snare DRUM not a snare SPRINGS. THANK YOU! I was going through my funk playlist like, "WTF is that bassline from??? I know it like the back of my hand, but I can't place it for some reason!" LOL
I saw then do this with Trujillo in Napa, CA, a few years back... absolutely incredible. I was LEGIT headbanging to two acoustic guitars and direct bass. Rocked just as hard the real, fully amplified Metallica. I'll never forget it!
Wow! Now that's powerful! Cried through this full performance myself, and ain't afraid to admit it. A full dedication to Cliff (RIP) We know your with us. Robert your aptitude and generosity shines, believe you are the next real puzzle piece to Metallica's low end, bassman after the loss to Cliff. Die Hard MetaL.
Wow. 3 of the best musicians out there. So great to see how much they enjoyed that! Smiles all round. Big 'tallica fan and Rodrigo y Gabriela! Made my night watching that.
este es el talento de México, no ese programa de TV " la voz México " es un orgullo que vengan a México llevo 5 años esperando esta noticia gracias G&R
Wow!!! it is Orion!!! and From Whom The Bell Tolls, Batterrrrrryyyyyy, (!!!) wooooow... Bat---ter---ryyyy, guys!!! on acoustic!!! incredibly, classics for all times!!!! Metallica forever!!!!!!!!
I don’t know how I’m hearing this for the first time in 2022 but holy fuck this was so awesome and unique hearing those songs played in this style. And the girl wow, I bet no one ever messes with her. she could slap upside your head 5 times before you could blink like I’m watching and I can’t understand psychically how she’s doing it haha
Anyone else her after they shook your soul with The Struggle Within? Now I just want all of these performed live in front of a die hard Metallica audience!
😂they all had a laugh at 5:32 when rob came in a tad early. You can tell they all had a blast and a great time playing together. highly enjoyed this vid. Wish to hear more from all 3 together
Wow, this made me hype so hard. Really wish I was in the audience jumping up and down and rocking with you guys What an amazing thing, to play Battery with no battery and make it sound SO HARD!
Seeing these three, plus Kirk Hammit at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, was....one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. With like 300 people. Just wow.
I love Jason but I really feel that Rob brought back Cliff's style of playing back to Metallica ! Cliff , Jason and Rob , all three are absolutely great
John Thompson He is awesome too. He is the one that made the original basslines for The Four Horsemen, Motorbreath, Jump In The Fire, Whiplash, Phantom lord, No Remorse, Seek and Destroy, and Metal Militia that Cliff Burton would use on Kill ‘Em All.
Red Rocks is better than any small theater unless you are at the very top where the wind can effect the sound. I usually get front row if I can get tickets since they are reserved for people with physical disabilities. Nothing better than seeing a great band front row at Red Rocks. Even if you're in the first 30 rows it's still an excellent venue.
I was at this show! There were a string of RyG Red Rocks shows during the mid 2010s, and I got to see them all. I believe it was the year before that Zach de la Roca showed up. Mind blowing shit!
really good. it has shivered me. so tough to play with such a confidence in front of this crowd with an acoustic sound. i've felt that they felt it. very authentic.

Gabriella's strumming or tapping on the guitar as if it was a percussion, is just amazing!!!.
after all these years I´m so glad Metallica picked Rob to fit in for metallica
José Martínez He was the only one who was suitable for the job literally. Look at the audition, all the others contestants didn't fit with the band at all. It would look so weird if either of them were to be selected. I'm glad Trujilo came to that audition.
The simplest for the big sound. Just classical guitars and a bass.
He is Metallica as much as anyone. I believe he saved the band. Just one man’s opinion
Pepper would have helped write Bitchin' faster songs , though. .
I was actually at this show, 25 rows up, left of the sound board. This was an amazing end to and incredible show, Rodrigo y Gabriela
are such showmen, they put on a great concert! Trujillo just capped it off!
If you only have 15 minutes in your life to understand how Rock can sound with nothing but strings... THIS is your answer!
Not technically accurate... Gabs is using the body of the guitar as a percussion instrument.
And Rodrigo's got a bottle.
@@Khorunzhiy2010 its bottle neck its about sounding the string so bottle doesent count

great to see cliff's music still being played these days.
Had to come back and watch again, one of the best music vids on youtube
Yup, Fierce trio right there. Wish theyd do another medley, something other than Metallica although this was great.
Robert, Rodrigo and Gabriela, gracias por este regalo! un abrazo de Puerto Rico!

So much talent. Gabriela still has the most unique skill set I've ever seen for a guitar player. She is what makes R@G so amazing to me.

This was great. Rob is such an amazing bass player, my favorite bass player!

Love to hear a little "Creeping Death" next time around, very cool expanding this into what Metallic did on the black tour, love you two!
Seeing these three, plus Kirk Hammit at the Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, was....one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. With like 300 people. Just wow.
And they played tunes from the only Metallica era that matters. Perfect.
Gabriela is the bass and drum of the band, the solid backbone, the rest is ornementation even a guest baseman
That was pretty sick. It's nice to actually hear a bass player from Metallica for a change. Lol
This last days I re-listened to Jungle Boogie and what a surprise Robert began with this marvellous bass line
Great set. Literally the worst placement of ads in a RUclips video ever.
For real.
And the uploader got to decide where the ads go.
So pissed off........
It's like the music doesn't even matter.
Ad-block people.
this might be my favorite song version of this ever
Trujillo is the coolest dude ever. That guy is so humble, you can't dislike him. He is the only redeeming value Metallica has left, IMO.
Glenn Atkinson I'd love to see you downpick like James.
You must be really good at playin’ instruments to say it, show me your skills please
Holy MF shii I can't believe it's been 10 years since. I swear it wasn't that long ago I was sharing this as the greatest collab I've ever seen.

What about Rob McGovney? He was the original.
