@@silhouette9699 It's never gonna change either, despite the seemingly mass whining by the community because they're the loud minority. The reality is that the majority of the player base are normie/casuals that are happy to get the little drips that Genshin feeds or just don't care. I used to rant and rave about this all the time when I was more actively playing the game but now I don't play as much, I am like a casual, I just don't care enough anymore. Even those that complain, most of them will still play the game because whilst they're not happy about it, on balance they're still more happy than not.
Bro even if the vast majority of that active loud minority dipped, do you really think Genshin would care.. This game has what, like something in the region of 55+ million players.. they could lose like 10m of that active minority that are on socials and complaining and they'd still be swimming in it. Hoyoverse doesn't care, especially about gbl outside of CN and JPN that make up little else than 25% of the active revenue. Like even the loud minority on CN, the active ones online, they don't care darg, they'll palm that group off no problem and enjoy the money they make from casuals and people that are happy to complain and still log in.
Genshin is a monolith and a lot of these CC's including Tectone just don't understand how much the Devs and the normie/casual community just don't care. They're so far removed from each other that it's insane.
The reality is simple, this game will never improve significantly, to the extent that pleases more serious and active players, until it starts to die and lets be real, that ain't happening any time soon, no matter how much these CC's and players on socials complain. Tectone and all these other guys are fighting over nothing, whilst Hoyo is laughing in money. Come on, that's silly. Just quit or enjoy the game and move on, this arguing is foolishness.
I say it's foolish, but perhaps not for Tecc, he seems to be eating good with all this drama.
I blame the soft passive southeast Asians who breath Genshin. Sad they never played a good game in their life.
Gacha content creators have more "drama" than any other gaming niche. I'm not sure if it is people getting bored between patches, people who are absolutely miserable playing these games and are just addicted, or creators who are stuck playing because they can't drag their audience to other games but I have never seen so many people in a gaming community just constantly engaged in "drama".

What's strange about the fact that Xianyun had a 2:1 split against Nahida and that only 555k was taken on the first day and 10 million on the second day even though Nahida is busted and Xianyun only fulfills a niche. Also, Genshinlab isn't supposed to be reliable anymore and considering that the Furina/Baizhu banner had more vailue, I just don't think that can be true.

Everytime i re download genshin, all i end up doing is watching drama vids while gaming lol. The drama is more consistant than the games content.
As someone who returned after 1 year and ended in the middle of whirlpool of the drama, I agree lol. I am ready to quit again, partly because of all this and partly because of how little of what made the game boring for me has changed in one year (almost nothing at all).
People give Tectone so much shit for creating drama. I have literally not seen a single RUclipsr with a platform as big as his giving visibility and views to small content creators. Content creators usually feel threatened supporting others in same line even when it doesn’t hurt their bottom line. Yes some may collab now and then but to focus on smaller channels almost every day, that’s wild.

@Tectone give up on genshin, please. The majority of the players are fine with the game as is even though HYV treat them like shit. They don't need saving, they don't want to be saved, and you shouldn't bother saving them. The game has always and will always be a casual character-collection game. The Chinese community is outraged not because the way genshin devs treat them or because the state of the game, they are simply outraged by cheap rewards on a really special occasion for the Chinese community. While you have a good intention at heart, the genshin community don't want it. I just don't want you to get hated on and you to hate on others just for a community that doesn't want to be saved.

Criticism and humility, and to reduce arrogance or hatred towards any drama, is something all streamers should start to learn. Being cupcakes and letting emotions take over on the internet is never a good idea tbh since thousands are people are watching you and making a perception of you constantly. Envy is a cool guy, but yeah, you will have haters man, get used to it. Every streamer does, it is just the reality. Cons of fame.
So what I've gathered from this situation is that the Genshin CCs i.e. Zyox, Atsu and those of their ilk. are those "Rise of the Nerds" types where they bring their high school mindset into adulthood and form cliques in order to feel "safe" and "cozy". And if you're not one of them, you'll never be one of them.
They act like the villian of Zootopia. Meek and unassuming in the public eye, but when they have a chance to show their malice towards someone without damaging their sacred public perception, they'll take it unapologetically. Absolutely pathetic. At least Tectone says what he says with some sense of conviction.
They just hate techtone for indirectly exposing their bought bias he said their silence is being i bought(indirectly) but have you notice not one of them denies it, instead they Gang up on one man "techtone" for not liking the current state of the game. I want to make something very clear I a 1200% percent agree take on all this genshin has treated its Community terrible for years and has to do better. I have a love-hate relationship with this game. I constantly talk about how much I hate the game but the truth is I don't I love it but I hate aspects about it that ruin the experience and an overall enjoyment. And no the answer isn't to tell me to quit the game or stop playing that's asinine and trite, because I do edit my core like genshin I just hate what it does. It's like being in a detached toxic relationship the good times are good what's a bad times are awful and often out weigh the good. For me who mainly gets enjoyment out of Abyss and other battle content playing this game constantly feels like chasing a high that rarely comes and when it does it's beyond finite. The issue I have with tectone despite agreeing with him is one he's a hypocrite. I remember really early on invention he mocked and ridiculed people who complained about aspects of the game, calling them names, stupid, etc what have you and now finally voices those same complaints. I remember explicitly being on stream once where he made fun of the condensed resin saying oh great now I can play the game even less. Now I do agree that we need a bigger pool of resin but to act as if the condensed resin was bad in any way was asinine to me. It saved me having to run domains a million times as well as made it easier for people with jobs to store resin.
Another issue I have is tectone plays victim and complains about getting bullied in harassed and being the bad guy and stuff, saying he doesn't like drama, taking about suffering from depression, low self esteem, etc etc and make you feel bad for him but then we'll turn around and be the biggest bully to people, call ppl names, scream and yell and just be overall obnoxious and then surprise Pikachu face when ppl have beef with him. It's nonsensical. You can't be super abrasive and then react incredulous when you rub people the wrong way.

I've been an observer of tash and tone since the beginning as a day 1 genshin player, so yes I know the history.
I've watched tone get flack for things he rightly deserved and get crucified for things he hasn't. I've seen him call people idiots and all manner of names, harass or be obnoxious to ccs or get his community to harass ccs, I've also seen him cry about bullying and harassment and even take a break from streaming because of it yet here he's calling people soft. I have no real sides on this except for making Genshin a better game. And I don't want to view myself as a fence sitter I just like to see things for what they are and call it like it is. Is a kind of shity game that company mistreats its players and it's community is bad but he's played a role in that.

You're saying I can't make an argument but out of the two of us I am the one that has been expounding on my points being made. The premise of my argument is genshin is in a terrible place and I agree with tectone that this is a situation that needs to be rectified and that we should all focus on that goal. However I'm simply stating that techtone acting innocent an incredulous during this entire situation is disingenuous as I've known him to both be an instigator of drama and propagator of some of the things he's chastise others about. I also said that it's a little asinine to call people soft for taking issue with you when 1. You yourself had an emotional episode were you had to leave the content creation space for a short time because you felt you were unjustly being treated by creators and followers in the space and twoyou have an abrasive personality and rarely talk about people in a respectful way. The first comment was I don't know the history, but I'm a day one Genshin player who's been watching tectone since he was pay to play and used to mock and ridicule ppl that played the game and complained about aspects of it cause initially he was having fun. Which once again the premise of which is the state of genshin is in a terrible state, the community is terrible, there are people that shill the game and others that contribute to the toxicity of the game (BTW complaining about the game isn't toxic, being toxic is being toxic), at no point did I ever make any straw man's or ad hominems. I simply said it is just a little asinine to get up in arms about people disliking you or taking issue with you when you historically have not treated people well. This doesn't mean that tectone is a bad person, has never treated ppl well, or hasn't taken up for smaller streamers. Just that he has an abrasive personality, likes to say whatever he wants without consequence, and then it is shocked when there's consequence.

To the other guy arguing, cmon. Let’s be civilized. I must say I’m somewhat new to tectone, I’ve heard about him and just seen how much hate he gets at times, but I’m unfamiliar with some of the smaller issues. What I’ve seen, at least to me, is that he’s definitely not afraid to call out crap, and definitely seems to hold a grudge against a lot of the genshin community. But he also seems to be one of the only people who has been actually talking about these issues with genshin, and not backing down. I dunno. I’ve so far just not seen enough to somehow disprove his points. Plus, while yes he could try to get his points across without starting beef, I feel like if these issues have been present for years and nobody listens to ya, kind of makes you really resent them.
That’s my opinion though, sorry for the wall of text. TLDR, I think tectone, even if you don’t like him, has been the only larger creator calling out problems in genshin for years. So makes me not like those just ignoring the issues.
@@lucg4005 I'm not sure who you were responding to but I just want to add this even though I can find tectone to be abrasive and hypocritical at times I'm in full support of the demanding hoyo verse do right by genshin players. There's this massive gaslighting going on in the community where we're told that the game is fine, it's meant for casuals, don't play, don't make genshin what it's not. And if that was the case millions of people wouldn't be so adamant about voicing our complaints and that's the hill that tectone is living and dying on that so many people concur and agree on. I don't necessarily have to like my neighbor's living on this hill with me but in that and that alone we all can agree. And people who are so shocked as to why tectone has the support he has, is because they repeatedly refuse to acknowledge the voices of the dissidents.
The problem has and will always be genshin is a gotcha in a trench coat that disguise itself as a RPG. So people that never would have play the game like this became a Lord by the initial gameplay and then stay because of sunk cost fallacy and initial enjoyment. But as time went on things got worse and worse, rewards got worse and worse, quality of life was introduced at a snail's pace, player request have gone ignored, and there's no endgame in sight for those of us who have worked hard to build our characters and want things to throw at them. As well as the headache of building characters in the first place.
Tldr: at the end of the day this is all symptoms of a bigger problem. You can't repeatedly ignore and invalidate the feeling starts concerns and opinions of (imho) reasonable dissodants and disenfranchised players and not expect them to latch onto whatever champion they can. Because someone fighting for you is better than no one.
