Skip is one thing. I sometimes wish they had a button during the dialogues to allow me to read the log when I click too fast.

In HSR no matter the time I can log in and have content to play. Some of it I'm not the biggest fan of, like Swarm can be straight up f**kin dumb, but it's still nice to have it there and available.
Meanwhile in Genshin I sign in, condense my Resin, do the dailies or grab some chests and then sign out. I've argued from the beginning that the Abyss sucks and barely even counts as content because it takes maybe an hour to beat every couple weeks and the overly bloated health pools just make it feel tedious rather than challenging.
Getting stars on the Abyss requires artifacts, those require you time sinking the game because artifacts are almost entirely RNG, RNG stat rolls, RNG stats boosts, RNG to the main stat.
If your 'end-game' content requires RNG to be doable, you've failed as a game developer.
@@Rexhunterj not just that, the abyss is basically still using the same formula since 1.0 , not to mention for some reason gi really like to release a boss with so many i-frame where you cant do anything except watching they finish their long ass moves so you can start doing damage.

Me as Genshin day one player also pissed at Mihoyo for this kind of treatment.
3 years for 3 extra pulls, feels like i've got slapped very hard at my cheek.
I've spending Welkin and BP for 2 years, now most of QoL i've want and shared at survey are being implemented for Star Rail, not for Genshin.
The worst part of all this is that the creators that “spoke out” on the topic have already uploaded they’re guides on the new characters and most of the comments seem to have already forgotten about all this 💀
I think it’s not productive to expect people to not play the game. You can criticize it and still play. Not even the worse problematic of games get full out boycotts

I completely respect tectone, as someone that has been watching his content since the launch of genshin, and as someone that has played the game and left after the first year event and now came back, I am officially off this game, I deleted it this morning after I wasted the update primos and am not expecting to play this game again until I see the day that tectone is playing it and he is only playing after the game is better, in the end of the day his point of view is extremely valid on my opinion since I also see the problems on genshin since day one and I also have been seeing how the developers are greedy.
Don't get me wrong, I love this game, it was a great game, it has a great story, but there are too many wrongs than rights.
Ps. Tectone, thanks for always speaking the truth in this internet where more or less 90% of it is missed information and licking boots.

I watch a smaller creator make a video yesterday about how awful hoyo is treating us then today uploaded a video of him buying the skins and pulling for cloud retainer and her weapon. I think they are only "taking part" cuz they realized that whats pulling in views rn. I cant tell u how many of them started the video with "my channel is usually positive and I don't cover drama" then don't take part?! All we need to do is come together and have a plan, how is it so hard to not buy bp and welkin for this patch alone?@?! I see y some ppl don't gaf.
I saw the same thing yesterday, a CC was telling his viewers not to spend money but said he was still planning on taking part in the new banner anyway. This morning I saw that same CC made a video apologizing to his viewers, saying that he though about what he said and realized he was being part of the problem and not the solution. He then said he would no longer be pulling on the new banner. Hat off tot that CC for realizing he was wrong and instead is now doing what he told his viewers to do.

There's a lot wrong with a CC like this, it's clear they are addicted to the gacha at that point, but to tell your viewers not to do it then doing it yourself speaks so many different things about your character, basically that you are a trash human being.

Not in denial. They are aware that is is happening, its just that they are certain that it will pass because their players and their content creators have nothing else like Genshin to cover. The only similar (and better title imo) is Granblue Relink which is like a single player Genshin sold as a complete game. Until WW comes out, Hoyo will not snap out of it because of the pigeonhold they have on open world gachas. Its genuinely toxic and disgusting on their behalf, but even the mightest of kingoms can fall.
It's not a dev team problem, it's a Hoyoverse problem. Ultimately Hoyoverse is the one being silent and censoring creators.

Honestly i think the problem with the genshin community is that they mostly don't play other games if they played other gacha they would see that genshin is really bad when it comes to reward genshin is also an RPG and in most RPG when you have to farm for better stat it's to prepare for the late game but there is none in genshin
I heard that we will be getting over 120 pulls in HSR in 2.0 including the patch rewards and i just pulled Kafka, here is hoping i finally win a 50/50 in Peakony and get a Black Swan for the nihilist dream team
The funny thing is that most of the people that think that HoYoGenshin cannot give 10 wishes every update is tremendously wrong. Back in the 1.0 when Klee banner appeared they in fact gave us additional 10 more wishes. They stopped doing it because they saw they can milk the players even more.

Yeah, having the community speak up all at once really makes a difference. I was already not going to stop spending on the game, but I still had 45~ wishes saved up so I was gonna pull for Cloud Retainer... but at this point, I don't even wanna do that because it'll still make their numbers look better. I changed my in game player profile to "Genshin Could Never" and I'm taking some time off the game. Might log in for a few seconds each day during the event just to get the free login bonuses, but I won't actually play or spend any wishes. Probably also wait a few days to not add to the day 1 spike of players.
2.0 made me really excited to actually play Star Rail again. (so much so I speedran the story on my PS5 account to get ready) Meanwhile Genshin version was like: Oh yeah.... GaMing is cool..... Oh a new region part? Oh okay... Rewards suck? Thats Genshin devs for you.... They would get so many more players and 'customers' if they did the same as Star Rail, but noooooooooooo thats too pricy for their billions of dollars in that little Hoyoverse Bank Account

You know genshin is kinda of brilliant. It became the bar to overcome, so now future games seem amazing when they give you barley anything. One or two 10 pulls really isn't much. It's just so much more than genshin gives. So, as a business strategy; keeping genshin as the bar to overcome when it shouldn't even be on the scale is pretty smart.
idk why people were saying that the new area is somehow one of the biggest in the game, its literally is the size of the last smallish area in the sumeru desert
Sumeru is so damn big I haven't finished it yet and I play mega casually now, like I only log in if the new update story seems interesting or is relevant to the Traveler's story.
Fontaine I've already got every waypoint, found every chest and done most of the overworld games, the biggest part of Fontaine is the underwater sections, which only bloat the region more. In Sumeru the vast majority of space is taken up by emptiness in the desert with gargantuan structures to explore in the distance. In Fontaine it's just a bunch of extra well cultivated land with a sprinkle of post-apocalypse, not only did I get bored of Fontaine as a region very quickly, I actually went back to Sumeru to explore for _fun_

Yeah it hurt cause I was addicted and never saw myself giving up the mundane grind to fuel my gambling addiction. But it hurt more to realize I've lost hope in genshin. Hope for this game to get better. Maybe it will but I'm done being a puppet tied to this game.
I've deleted tower of fantasy when I wasn't enjoying it and if I was to download it right now, all my stuff will be there still. Same with Genshin. So until the game can improve, I'm done with it.
Been trying to tell my friends that hoyo doesn't care and we need to start doing something, 9 times out of 10 I've been hit with "it's a free game it's not unplayable because bad rewards" or "it's known for a while what can we do". The other 1 out of 10 calling me swears.

They could easily add old events without taking a lot more storage from players. Make it like Honkai Impact 3rd…option to download the specific event to play. And Honkai Impact 3rd which makes a lot less money has Artifact/Weapons Load-outs.

Honestly. Id start playing genshin again if they did vastly fix the reward system and made all the temp events a permanent thing instead of being missable. For someone who works full time its difficult to find the energy to sit down to genshin and spend 4 hours doing an event just because I didnt want to miss it. But like tectone mentioned with albedo. If you didnt do the dragonspine event then you would be like. Who the heck is this guy? Or if you didnt do the first golden apple event then when they did the second event there you would be questioning where the heck that place came from.
Id also really like if the event rewards matched the effort needed to complete them. Got sick and tired of events where it was oh. Go here and grab this item and bring it back. Then your reward was 10 wishes. But then a go here and kill this entire army then take out the boss who can 1 shot anyone event only gave 10 primo gems.

for the people who don't know he was a Warframe CC exposing and basically doing the same shit as tectone
and before he quit the game for good rahetalius put 10000 forma onto his vauban prime which took him around 580 days to do that, he reached that goal he deleted the vauban prime for good removing any progress it had.
after doing that he made a video basically telling everyone in the WF community that endgame content will never come to WF an the game will never be challenging or have a proper story

I uninstalled genshit bc the game 14:23 took up too much space on my ps4. Yes I have spent at least 1500 on genshit but the game wasn’t worth the space or even time to play let alone have on the system. I’m done with genshit probably for life. I did once love it but listen to this, it became stressful knowing there was no real reason to develop characters and grind gambling on artifacts for these expensive for no reason characters. I've watched Tectone since Ulala days and I've always thought that the things he said made sense, things that I'd have said it myself. So I was shocked when I found out that so many people hate Tectone, and that's how I know people won't share my opinions since it's are so similar to Tectone's. People really do hate him, especially on Reddit, it's like everytime his name is brought up, it's to shit on him. I've seen so many threads with thousands of upvotes of people agreeing that Tectone is a "piece of shit" over the last few years. I've always tried to defend Tectone on reddit because I know he's right, only to be met with tons of downvotes, despite my hardest effort to reason with them. It's to be expected and I shouldn't bother but I just can't stand it.
I really hope that one day, these people would wake up and realize how wrong they were. Tectone is the embodiment of "We truly live in a society." and "CLOWN WORLD".
I’ve been watching Tectone since June of 2023. I had to do my research on the guy and I came to the conclusion that he’s not the type of person that people make him out to be. Sure, I don’t always agree with him in everything that he does or says, but I still respect him and will stick up for him when it’s needed.
The amount of lies and misinformation that was and is being said about him is insane. And the fact that anyone that brings the actual evidence is met with more hate and even comments/threads get downvoted and deleted is absolutely insane.
While I’m glad that people are starting to wake up and realize that Tectone was right, and I even saw some people commenting that they regretted their grudges and hatred towards Tectone when they saw evidence and the truth, there will still be people that will continue to believe and say things about the him that isn’t true.
The argument that "genshin gets more pulls via open world exploration chests" is always such an insane take to me. If you go to the interactive map you get the stats on how many chests there are accross the entirety of the current available map and at MOST it makes for what? 100 pulls assuming you open EVERY SINGLE CHEST EVER.
It is also insane when you consider that to find every single chest in the most timely manner you NEED to be alt-tabbing into the interactive map over and over to find the next chest, arrive at the location, often kill a group of enemies or GOD FORBID deal with yet another annoying puzzle to unlock it, open it, tab back to the map, mark it as found. That is assuming u had the map open from the onset to mark every single chest u found, otherwise good luck walking over to chests u already picked up to mark them on the map.
All this yapping translates to what? >100hours of tedious micromanagement waste of time to pick up penny by penny.
Meanwhile in HSR the free pulls from login: respects your time, need no external source AND up until 1.6 we got what? 60-70 pulls this way? (+20 in 2.0)
So like, choose which you prefer:
100 pulls from wasting away in genshin for a hundred hours picking pennies
OR
getting 80 (60 + 20 from 2.0) just for logging in for a few seconds. (and this is NOT accounting for the chests we DO have in HSR maps + trotters)
And let's remember: star rail will continue the 10 free pull trend and we are ONLY on the pre-2.0 era. Genshin is already @ 4.4
Even if the argument that open world gives more pulls was true, I would still prefer HSR sparing my time and sanity asking me to just login.

@@nn-cv9jq I cant say for the future but as a HI3rd player the game DOES get freebies aswell like for exemple free S ranks (5*) including S Ranks of NEW characters sometimes either from the ingame shop currency or just straight up free new S Rank like Herrscher of Origin Mei or Spina Astera Rita back at their release.
What I will say is that mostly nobody reacts or discusses these freebies in relation to genshin's lack of rewards so it just tends to go "under the radar"... which i'm glad cuz it means the game gets to avoid the shrieks of genshin community mess sometimes lmao

Community needs new players and they will most probably come with Part 2 so instead of treating them badly it will be better if we accept them with open arms, after all it's community that shapes people in it, not people shaping the community

Yeah I agree I hope the game gets a lot more players into it for part 2, I enjoy the game a lot and hope it can thrive.
I hope the influx of new players can be a positive thing for the game overall. But I do hope the more toxic side of genshin can stay out 😂 or that they can at least leave the crazy on the door. Not that thw HI3rd community doesnt have crazy ppl but I honestly dont think it developed to the point of genshin in that regard.
My biggest concern is that theres a lot of gatekeeping which is just dumb since we should WANT more ppl playing and covering the game

That's the thing, these events ARE in the code, ARE in your files and yet... you can't play them... and you won't ever be able to play them because they aren't meant to ever return. Like, at least on mobile you can delete data from quest you've already completed... but you can't on PC and consoles for some freaking reason.

Genshin Community will put their frustration on genshin towards Honkai Star Rail. They are angry in Genshin deep inside but they dont wanna admit it and they rather choose hating another game.

The problem is two fold at least here in the west. People talk about wanting to uphold an ideal, but get cold feet when it comes to making it happen. They only care about what is most convenient for them.
honestly its so funny to see everyone going insane on this, like bro, how could you not want more rewards, if you bitc about it high enough that it affect revenue it going to be changed...like do they just hate rewards and think genshin is fun running around half the day around the map trying to find the random chests of 2 primogems just to get that 10 pull and come back with useless things like one 4 star weapon or a maxed out c6 noelle type stuff huh??? And their excuse is ohhh im trying to build pity it doesn't matter...well its a very tiring process to get a 5 star, takes at least 3 banners before you get one and that's to say that you are logging in everyday, doing your quests,events. JUST FOR ONE, and then next patch two character releases, your welcome, you are now stuck in a constant tiring loop trying to get everything but in the end achieves nothing but unhappiness on why you cant get your characters:)
It’s strange how 3 pulls is considered generous by some people. I remember playing a few other gacha games that were way more generous with their pulls currency.

The fact that the Genshin team did not fill this hole in the market of what Genshn could be after three years means that any game could come in and fill the hole where other games could dominate in popularity.
I think new players go against yours and mtashed opinions, because they are still overwhelmed by the amount of things they can do starting from the beginning and then start to see your points when they catch up to the game and have nothing to do for 3-4 (think it was 5 at one point) patches before the next actual bit of content is added.

Like you can like Genshin for what it is just like Doro it’s fine but just be honest, it’s been proven time and time again HSR gives more rewards even if you take away the free 10 pulls hell even if you take 20 away it’s still more. I didn’t know who he was before watching his stream I was just watching random streams now I don’t even see him more than a genshin white knight.
Doro and Brand are Mihoyo whiteknights. They never liked genshin. They both hate it and use their channels as platforms to ruin it and silence any protest.
Literly over 100 gigs now and it's to the point I'm about ready to uninstall because I can't be taking up all that space for a game I only really play for like a half hour or so a day tops when I could be playing something else like modded botw or whatever else instead to get that same gaming itch with tons of room left.

There is obviously a problem with genshin, just as there has been for three years. I saw the first video about this and actually agreed in everything. But, at this point, i have the sensation that tectone and many others are just money farming all the genshin hate from the comunity.
Its pretty sad that the game's company does not listen to the player base and the content creators use it as a way to get views. Im starting to think there is no hope for this community.
the problem is the whales and hoyo doesn't care, most of the whales are casuals they don't care about meta or end game, they just wanted new characters, just saw a bunch of people E6 R5 Xianyun and says thank you to hoyo for releasing new character. unless people really stop giving money to hoyo that's when changes are gonna happen, until then bald man can just farm the same topic 6 times a day, in the end of the day tectone will also just doing this because it's easy cash to yap about this, and lets be real an actual people doesn't really actually care THAT MUCH... like it's a video game, lets be real here.

As a new player (from october) i wasn't even aware of these problems. I'm now slightly regretting getting into it as i'm not sure what to do about it... If never been one of these type of games before, i only have experience with single player... So thats saying a lot (and overwatch wich i stopped playing because it got boring, yeah i might stop playing genshin too if this keeps going on... The only reason i started was because i liked the characters but missing events is stupid and i wasnt aware of it.....And yes i do like stories but a skin would be nice because idc about npc that much if its not going to bring change (also why are their creeps in the game??) like the npc trying to get with freaking DIona or Barbara.... Why is traveler not stopping it, honestly biggest issue i dont see traveler as a hero anymore and just is there for the plot.... And i just fought the balladeer meka (IT WAS SUPER EASY) How dissapointing i was hyped up over like a 30s battle

Think about it though, Hoyo started with games that align with Honkai 3rd, Star Rail etc so when Genshin took over and turned into their cash cow I don’t think they were too excited about it. They rode it though but their hearts are more into celestial space turn-based style gaming. Why would they get miffed at the fact that the player base is upset. They also know that a good portion of the player base also plays Honkai so retrospect it’s what they wanted all along and everyone is playing into it. Lose Genshin base then gain more Honkai base. Catch what I’m sayin?

This is not exclusive to the Genshin community, it's just casual gamer mindset and addiction combined. People just come back from a day of work and want to chill in the games they love. You can't convince these kind of people to join the boycott. And those with heavy gambling addiction are also on copium so you can't get them to join the movement either. It all comes down to the select few sensible gamers who want their favorite games to improve and will sacrifice something to get there. A month ago, many Apex content creators called out EA for their greed and lack of game improvement and server issues. Many people joined in for the boycott. And what happened? The final fantasy crossover event became their #2 even when it comes to sales. The companies know their audience. If you have problems with a game, it's better for your sanity to just drop and go play something else. We have lost this battle against the corporate.
That's the way. Don't play a game that caters to casual gamers only. Play a game that actually spends the time to develop content for the sweatiest.
I wasn't bothered by the honkai vs genshin debate until I started listening to the recent issues and I start getting RUclips ads for a free Honkai 5*. FML
