Hi Sir Guga, a fan here in Philippines, just wondering what will happen if your dry age a steak with the "Smelliest Fruit in the World" Durian, just saying maybe you can make that happen. Salamat (Thank You)
Capsaicin, the active ingredient in spice, is fat-soluble. So, I bet the spiciness dissolved into the wagyu fat, and the grease expelled during cooking carried most of it away. This suggests that, if you're going to make a wagyu steak spicy, you NEED a lot more spiciness. You could test this by doing a spicy steak experiment on (1) a very fatty steak and (2) a lean steak. Use the same amount of spiciness, and see which steak ends up spicier. I'll bet you the fattier steak ends up milder.
This channel's tagline went from the most delicious steaks in the world to the spiciest steaks in the world so let's dew it. Guga, I got a new catch phrase for ya " and I know these steaks don't look that spicy right now... but watch this!"
I remember doing the one chip challenge. The heat in the mouth was tolerable, but I had it on an empty stomach. The gut burn was the bit that got me. I did manage to take it without milk luckily since the glass I poured turned out to be spoiled after the fact. The problem was when it continued to build up in my stomach I made the poor choice to induce vomiting. Long story short oxygen is more breathable than capsaicin. I won’t be eating another of them lol.
I grow habañeros in my window and every year, the tradition is to eat the first one raw. The stomach burn if you haven't had anything to eat is the worst part by several factors and that chip is way rougher than my puny peppers. You're hardcore for surviving that, my man.
When I did this challenge last year, my mouth was on fire!!! This challenge is absolutely horrible! I don’t recommend you do this especially if you have a low spice tolerance. Thank you for your amazing videos Guga!!
Great vid as always, and put some respect on my boy Leo's name, always goes the extra step in describing things to us and it doesn't go unnoticed! Keep it up lads
Hey Guga, thanks for your great videos. After watching your videos, I have three requests for future videos: - Please try some other cattle breeds than wagyu and American beef. - How do you clean all your pans and other cooking ustensils so they continue to be so shiny ? - Please cook a foie gras in a terrine using sous vide. And yes I'll repeat those requests often. ;)
I love how often Guga says in a video "i will include the link to that video in the description down below" then the link is never there to be found LOL
hey Guga. i really love watching all your experiments on both channels. i know i dont thumbs up but i often forget to when i watch and then comment first. but this one looks really fun. maybe next time you could try using it like a breadinng and deepfry some chicken or some steak. maybe mix in corndog breading and do some corndogs. those sound really good to. also since you are starting to do more hot food challeneges are you trying to build up for even greater heat? and if so could you do a dry age experiment using pure capsaicin, liquid smoke, and mango. this also sounds like a really good experiment.
I ended up trying it for the first time last year, ended up going for an hour only because the spice was done for, the next day was a different story though. Very dry chip, no flavor at all, but also no chemical capsaicin taste either so that's a plus.
Dear Guga, I love to start by saying how wonderful your channel is and we need more wholesome, family-friendly entertainment like this for young men and for all of us. Thank you. As a masculinity researcher running a nonprofit for men to lower the suicide rate and de-stigmatize mental health among men, I work a lot on the destructive concept of "insecure masculinity". Boys and young men are constantly encouraged to take daring measures to prove their masculinity. Many take unnecessary risks with their bodies and put themselves in harm's way voluntarily to prove they are a MAN! Otherwise, they’ll be called a “chicken” or a lot worse. Amongst central and south American men, this is even more prominent due to the added pressure of the culture of machismo. Thousands of deaths happen every year around the world as these boys and young men try to prove they are tough by putting their bodies in harm's way. As a father, a role model and a wholesome influencer, I invite you to be our ambassador to help eradicate the negative, harmful and downright deadly effects of the culture that breeds insecure masculinity and pushes boys and young men to disrespect their bodies to prove their masculinity.
I took one of these on Halloween. This coworker girl I was fooling around with came with me and my daughter trick or treating. I'd had this chip sitting around for a week unopened. Figured this can't be bad. I had to leave my kid with her while I was upstairs rolling around on the floor in the bathroom with my pants around my ankles as I went between thinking I was gonna blast my brains out on the toilet and clutching my abdomen in pain on the floor. The heat in the mouth wasn't unbearable, but once it hit my stomach it felt like I was dying. After 20 minutes of sweating my ass off/rolling around in very unflattering positions, I put my fingers down my throat to puke it up. That was the only thing that made it better was getting it outta my stomach. Idk if it was because I had an empty stomach or what. Any time I have hot as an option for food I go for the hottest. I've had ghost chili peppers half a dozen times at least. This was by far the worst thing I've ever eaten.
@@DoctaFlood sounds like how my wife was when I tried it. She was sitting there laughing and reassuring my parents and sister that I wasn't dying. Those stomach cramps were the worst though.
