Welcome to Bangalore..Most liked thing from you is you started to learn Kannada. Most of the north Indians don't do it. We respect all the languages and also love our language. Talk in Kannada no matter how correct it is grammatically, We kannadigas will give you more love.
Learning kanada is not necessary and it's our wish which language we would like to speak, I'm from karnatak and in my district nobody speaks kanada everybody speak other language and in college we speak English

Unfotunately Bangalore has become so cogested over the last decade or so, lots of pollution now due to so many automobiles on the roads and population. Back in the late 80's early 90's, the early mornings the air used to feel so fresh and crisp when you stepped out of your house, it's just not the same anymore! But the city is thriving, so I am happy about that!
We must have more cities like Bangalore so that it doesn't become congested anywhere.
The reason being there are no cities like Bangalore in North. Ppl come here and never leave Bangalore.

nonetheless its the startup and IT hub of India although now many companies are looking at Hyderabad because of better roads, infra, almost as good geography and better government and ease-of-doing-business policies unlike blr although blr is much older in terms of IT all the way during British era though HYD started just 2 decades ago with ups and downs of new state foramtion tho now it has gained very good pace
