Great videos!!! Please do take pictures of the crossovers. It can be really helpful to some and interresting to see what type\quality\parameters parts are used! Thanks for the videos again and keep them coming!
@@Intabox definitely audiolab has perfect synergy with Wharfedale. You can find videos from the Bristol audio show where they use the 6000a for all the wharfedale speakers and it sounds great!
@@andreassouth1523 highs and upper middle present a lot of realism, like the music is in the living room. I found no harshness with the audiolab and I run a topping d90 which can be a bit a analytical for some speakers. Probably a ares 2 is a better fit or something similar. But yah, speakers are great all rounders
Does anyone know whether they come with rubber feet (as hintet to in the manual) so they can they can be placed on hardwood floor? Or do they perhaps include some other option to protect hardwood floors? Cheers!
Only spikes and metal washers with a neoprene underside are included. Ok if you only set your speakers in one spot. If you want to move them around a bit, they are a nightmare. I bought rubberfeet for my pair. M6 threaded.
The Wharfedale's look like they are made pretty well. I just purchased the new Polk Reserve r 200s a few days ago. They look like they are built really well too. I really like the videos where you talk and it's not just the music playing. I need a good receiver for the new Polks next. 1 k is my Budget. The polks are 4ohm so u know. I subbed last week and really enjoy the videos u put out. Thank u !! So the bottom woofer isn't actually powered? Just a Radiator woofer?
Yes, they are well made for the money. Had already bought a pair of 12.3's when Polk released the reserve series. The R500 would be comparable in terms of size (albeit a bigger cabinet) , but they are almost twice the price as a pair of 12.3's here in Europe. I suspect the sound quality is higher but I love my 12.3's so I will not be upgrading for a long time. By the way, the lower woofer is powered since these are a ported speaker.
@@andreassouth1523 they are incredible speakers and outclass just about anything under 1,500. Bass is so smooth and the mids and highs are nice and detailed. Incredible Bookshelf speaker !! Look a E project here on RUclips. He does alot of different sound demos for receivers/ intergated amplifiers and lots of Bookshelf speakers. The Polk Reserve R 200s are being compared to speakers 1,500 or more like the Kef R 3 and Genalec powered speakers. When they go on sale for 699.99 or 649.99 get the R 200s and not the R 100s. The 200s are 3 times the R 100 in sound.
@@RockCity1111 Thank you!! I am very sensitive with treble and sibilance.Tell us what amp you will buy for the polks.Yamaha a-s 701 that i have (with wrfs 225s) is not bright at all, with perfect mids and bass.
@@andreassouth1523 Nice. I originally bought the Yamaha RXA4A from Crutchfield. It was my 1st purchase with them since I was a young kid and bought a install kit for a car stereo in the 90s. So they Called me back to verify the purchase but I missed the call and when I call3d back the next day they were all sold out.,they had just gotten 16 in stock that day and within 24 they were gone. So now I'm waiting and thinking I will probably move up the Rxa6a though for the extra power and better dacs

Love to see Crossovers!!!
I own these, they sound way better than they have any right to at this price with my audiolab 6000 amplifier. Highly recommend!
I choose between Denon 600ne and Audiolab 6000 to pair it with Diamond 12.2 Will you recommend Audiolab 6000 amp?

Could you say how do they handle distorted guitars? Are they muffled? Can they make a wall of sound?
What about the upper mids -highs. One reviewer said that sometimes they are harsh sounding.

a good descriptive video thank you
How did you remove the speakers? My son dropped something inside and I’m trying to take them off to get it out?
Wow plastic baskets on the drivers?!? I've never seen that before. I still own a pair of the legendary Diamond 3's.
how did you open the speakers?

Was it difficult to remove the decor rings around the drivers?
Glued or double-sided tape?
Not difficult, no glue just plugs
Are the driver basket of the 12.4 plastic too ?
Probably

The reason is that the Wharfedale Diamond 12.3 released a few month ago, the Q ones years ago.
