We bought seven floor and wall speakers made by Klipsch for our stereo. Outstanding quality sound. You do get what you pay for. our set is over 10 years old now. They still sound like brand new. Such a rich tone.
Triangle Borea are true Budget Kings, you may also add the Canton GLE 496.2 which are dirt cheap but amazing at 600 $ a pair. Overall this is a fine Budget speakers list, but if we go to intermediate prices the Monitor Audio Silver 7G would beat all of them.
Best sound is merely a personal preference for most people. I laugh when people want to get out their “calibrated microphone” and judge if it’s good or not. Most importantly, those people who think that high end expensive speakers and receivers are better than cheap ones. They’re dead wrong. 10 years ago and further back you had to pay more for better equipment the further back in time you went but not now. Those are just snobs that think they know something about audio when they don’t. They spent a lot of money on theirs. So, they definitely want to believe that it’s better. Not. Don’t get me wrong. You ain’t going to get audiophile quality from a $50 Walmart system.
A great many awesome speakers not mentioned that would top the above in my opinion but then again my opinion. Monitor Audio, Focal, as well as North American brands stamp all over ear piercing Triangle’s tweeter that fatigue’s after 5 minutes. Like metal wind chimes at 120db, just saying
I would have to disagree with just about all of these. There's nothing wrong with your choices just categorization. Best might be replaced with " my most liked" or "best bang for the buck". As for best. That's so subjective. Personally, of what you have here I like the Wharfdales more than the others. But to place them above some if the B & W's, Focals, Vandersten, or even the Golden Ear Tritons in the same cost range as you're have here is a little much. I have the first gen 800D and they are better in my opinion, sonically, then the newer 803 D4, but that doesn't make the new ones crap. As a matter of fact the new 805D4 is truly astounding. I also have a pair of Tannoy 15" reds. Different but great. My take, for what it's worth, is to be a bit more accepting of the subjectivity of your audience. We all like what we like. I have a friend who believes that the Bose 901 is the best speaker ever made. Go figure. For me my best would be.... 10 different speakers from 10 different times in my life, with enough variation in room, amplification, source, etc. That even those might be different.
I made the biggest mistake of my life, by buying Linn speakers. Their quality and customer service is zero from day one. I would have never anticipated to go through like this with a company that calls itself reputable. They like to hoard customer's money and then forget about them. Buyer beware!
Towers are great for Mid to large sized rooms! But if ones listening environment happens to be small then one would be better off going with standmount speakers.. (bookshelves on stands) preferably with a sub or better still 2 subs.
Plonker, I've got ATC scm 40s in a small room and they don't overpower the room at all.Standmounts use the same floor space as floorstanders, as for adding a sub base that uses floor space also.My ATCs sound incredible here in my little room in Welshpool.🍻🏴
@@andrewaajohnson7584 Aww that's great news. I'm glad you're enjoying your reputable ATC's I wish I was able to have the same experience with my monitor Audio Silver floor standing speakers. Ok Alexa voice 🤡
The monotone computer voice makes this commentary extremely boring.
HERE'S THE THING SAVE YOUR MONEY IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT KLIPSCH REFERENCE SPEAKERS IN THE LAST 8 YEARS NOTHING TRULY HAS CHANGED ABOUT THE SONIC SECURITY OF ANY OF THOSE KLIPSCH SPEAKERS THERE IS NO REASON TO BUY NEW SPEAKERS BY ANY MANUFACTURER DON'T CHANGE SIGNIFICANTLY AT ANY TIME WITHIN A 6 TO 10 YEAR PERIOD. SO SAVE YOUR MONEY AND JUST LIVE WITH WHAT YOU HAVE FOR THE TIME BEING UNTIL THERE IS SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN SPEAKER SONIC ABILITY YOUR EARS CAN ONLY HEAR SO WELL NO MATTER WHAT SPEAKERS YOU BUY UNLESS YOU'D LIKE TO CRACK CONCRETE AND SPEND ANYWHERE FROM 8 TO $50,000 FOR A PAIR SPEAKERS
Anyone that types in all caps has no credibility. Move along Beavis.
@@dougdavis8986 WOW DOUG DAVIS.. JUST A LITTLE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD CAUSE PAIN YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE A LONG CONVERSATION WITH IT IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR WORDS FALL FLAT AND WILL ALWAYS BE IGNORED DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM DO YOU KNOW WHAT I DO DO YOU KNOW WHERE I'VE BEEN DO YOU KNOW WHO I WORK FOR? NO YOU DON'T.. DOUG DAVIS YOU ARE A MORON YOU'RE A MORON
@@4earsonly160 apparently you aren't ignoring what I say Beavis. PS: you should take a writing and punctuation class if you ever hope to be a little successful. No charge for this tip.
@@dougdavis8986 oh Doug Davis your words are falling flat and there's nothing you can do about that so you got nothing better to do then make statements that aren't true you know nothing you probably have nothing.. but a full day of ranting on RUclips to someone who you know nothing about there are psychologists and psychiatrists who are studying people like you everyday on RUclips.. and coming to the conclusion that a great many are just hopelessly lost in narcissistic self-absorbed self-harming malevolent behavior good luck with that enjoy your Christmas maybe Santa will give you something more than a bad attitude.
@@4earsonly160 who is the one ranting? That would be you!
