@@K9_Jerry becoming something or anything is another trap. Let go of what you think you are and do not allow the mind to create any more trouble. Don't go from one branch to the other. Don't strain to abandon a hut only to go after another, because you'll be only be fooling yourself. When you see the house builder, don't allow it to build no more and end all suffering related to the dream of existence. Wake up from that dream! If you mess with being or becoming you'll basically find a different way to suffer, that's the important thing to understand.

It tells me that I have to do nothing to be nothing because I already am that.

As much as I appreciate the wisdom in this talk,if we consider
"the observer is the observed" (perhaps his most profound statement),we can see that creating space through non-identity is simply a step toward the experience of unity conciousness...the ultimate aim of yoga beyond space and time.

Yes, spot on, a ‘guru’ says be occupied with ‘this’ not ‘that’ 😂. Its a beautiful Saturday morning, why be separate from the November breeze? Or the clear blue skies? Or the trees at the park?
I find it apparent that, however one may suggest a state of being which is independent of external influences; denoting freedom. The very expression from one who idealises freedom and thus seeks after freedom to him/her who is free or at least thinks as such; therein is an exchange thus an influence.
Meaning, the speaker may disassociate himself from the role of a priest yet by communicating idealistic thoughts by default one becomes an unwilling priest.
And in addressing the subject matter, where there is “nothing” there is a space for something to be thus to be uninfluenced and unoccupied is in itself a state of being which is influenced by the incentive of being uninfluenced.
Nothing can be said about nothing.

How is this knowledge can be used in our real life , life that teaches you that you have to do something just to survive ,you must look for shelter and food and this you do something.
I think the human mind has an automatic mechanism to gain & maintain a required healthy space in the brain. Thoughts are a living thing. The space between thoughts is necessary to have a healthy mind. If the brain is overcrowded, it may be the point that people go mad or become insane / breakdown. It may also be the suicide point in life. It may also be one thought being expanded or many thoughts getting entry at the same time. We are not using our senses when in sleep. May be the sleep is necessary to create this healthy space of thoughts. The more we use senses in day to day life, the more the mind gets clogged & overcrowded with thoughts. When we get an irritating feeling at sometime in some places, it may be a sign the space in mind is getting overcrowded. We may smoke or use drugs, or meditation to artificially heal the space problem in mind. But the awareness that the mind losing its healthy space itself may solve the problem. In other words we are observing the space-factor in our mind and seeing it as a fact.
Space implies time and distance.
Allow for the way to be the healing am allowing for more and love thy everyone within how and heal will show more 4 see. Will you know?
nothing is a word. it can only be expirienced when you dont think about it. when you are not aware of the nothing.
The capitalized version "Nothingness" is better, otherwise one might conclude there's an actual "nothing" as non-being or the null set. When all of the components of the self are dissolved, what remains? Certainly not "nothing" When remains is the uncreated Sat-Chit-Ananda, pure Consciousness. We can remove the words, memories, and descriptions from the entire Multiverse. What remains? Not "nothing". The multiverse is pure Consciousness, the uncreated Reality that alone exists, with unlimited appearances of a non-dual nature. Dualities are delusions.

The way he says occupied and covers his face out of the madness of occupation, lol 😂😂. And it is true the current loneliness epidemic in the world, men's suicide rates can be drastically reduced if everyone would watch this video.

Sounds very much like he is teaching what it means to be in the "state of the witness" Sakshi.
A choiceless stationary state where there is no gap between the observer and the observed. As clouds move choicelessly in the sky, we too move choicelessly in the world. It's the same function.
At that point, that gap, it seems like you disappear from division of you and other, subject and object, as both are the same.
This seems to be a "traveller" state with no choice of where the destination will lead and a process you can't stop, just flow with it.

When you are nothing you are free from suffering, from pain, from thoughts. Being powerful itself is doing an action with fruits. You are saying this yourself that if you are nothing how are you powerful? Means that you want to be powerful and hence do the things which make you powerful. It is contradictory to what your religion says. When you want to become powerful you struggle. Powerful in any field be it engineering, politics or anything so you never achieve peace. When you achieve peace there is love there is compassion and through that is right action
