Thanks again for tuning in, I'm pretty excited to share this one. Apart from being a close all time favourite, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I was struggling to match the clean tone and realised that there is a piano in there doubling the open E, I added that in as a final touch. Also I'm not a fan of wah pedals but I had to use the Zakk Wylde one in the main solo.
As always, recorded through garageband using Amplitube Custom Shop and Roland FA-66 interface. Edited in Premiere CS6. Anyone wanting presets or questions answered feel free to email me Lambchopper678@me.com

This is definitely Metallica's most "epic" ending to a song

Seriously, people who actually come on here to give a thumbs down are nothing more than haters. This song is great, this cover is great! And I think its amazing finding people from all corners of the world enjoying the music that gives me goosebumps as I listen to it in an eerie setting. Keep it the great work bro!

+Drzpapigio14 people there are a lot of very talented guitarists in youtube and which cant afford like pedals and stuff to make the voice sound exaclty like it does in the album. If someone plays a very difficult song perfectly but they dont have pedals or the exact amplifier they are getting hate for that and it pisses me of. (Sorry about my english and long comment which is 3months late)

Great tone and performance
You are playing it in absolute confidence and naturaly as if it was easy as hell. Especially in the third solo (in my opinion the hardest solo in this song) it seems, that you are playing twinkle twinkle little star or something simple like that. Probably the best cover I've ever seen👍

A piano used in the clean part. Same as in Cemetery Gates. One of my favorite Metallica songs and one of my favorite Pantera songs.

Josh F When the low E is played in the intro there's also a piano playing a lower E note under it. It's kinda cool tbh
I always thought the intro sounds thin. Could have used a subtle synth pad in addition to the piano to fill it out more

That's the great thing with Metallica, their songs aren't that complex and hard to play, but they're doing this really fucking well, it sounds so amazingly beautiful, proof that you don't need to be a virtuoso to make great songs, fuck all the Hammett haters, and awesome cover man

How do you make it sound so clean, all my metal sounds sloppy and jumbled
Well its always good to start with a decent amp. then you shouldnt rely on distortion pedals and more on your amp. try a tube screamer or something that boosts the output of your guitar. work with compression and your amp volume and less with gain and distortion. dont cut out the mids too much. that way you'll have a much clearer sond while still sounding pretty heavy.

TybYesterday good pickups on decent guitar with decent amps > stock midprice guitar with good amp > expensive guitar with cheap amp
Death by Cross make sure your Guitar is properly set up and the intonation is on point. If the intonation isn’t set up properly your guitar will always sound like shit. No matter the price of it and the gear you have. Also consider changing the stock machine heads (Tuners) and then worry about your pickups,Amps and pedals .

I listen this shit for years. I try to understand where that bass tone take me. Never reach to understand. But wherever it is, is an amazing beautifull place.
