- Thanks for watching, I've been playing or at least trying to play this for over 20 years. It takes me back playing it again, I could never keep up with the down picking and never attempted the solo but apart from that, nothing has changed. It reminds me how great these guys are and how mad my folks used to be when I'd be in my bedroom attacking it with gusto with my guitar cranked. Lol

@steve k. Don't know, doesn't matter to my point. Many metal fans hate metallica for being too mainstream so not everyone who disliked are guaranteed be people that dislike metal.
So many jump on the bandwagon and say how much Metallica sucks now but rarely stop to look back on how truly fucking bad ass they once were. Nothing anyone can say will ever marginalize the force they were in the mid to late eighties.

Venbeer Dont focus on speed when you practice trust me, picking fast isnt hard, controling it and maintaning speed for more than a few seconds is the hard part. build up to it.

Um no knowing the parts slow you cant pick em fast it takes alot of practice to pick that certain speed trust me i can play certain speed clean but not solos im working on that learn solos parts slow thn if you think you have it go on next session it will get easy i promised it takes time to proven also muscle memory as well have do part of the techniques just remember practices makes perfect.

Downpicking is critical and a little cocaine never hurt. First song I learned to play through and I still listen to it every shower(the live version from Moscow in 1993)

i can get most of the solo for this one.. that sweep from 12G, 13,B, 14Eto 17E... never could do that and keep up with it... maybe some day :)... know what ya mean man.. my folk use to just get PISSED when i'd crank my shit up when I was a kid... but now I have my own place.. can crank it as loud as I want

I've seen another vid where you use BIAS. Wich one makes you feel confortable, Amplitube or BIAS? This one sounds great...
Amplitube is great though bias amp and bias fx are outstanding.
