I’m one of those who has recently discovered your channel, and have been catching up with your origin story after almost a decade of being on this adventure. It has been interesting to know what it took you do to begin it. The training part to prepare yourself to be your own med was a surprise, but a bit necessary survival training I would’ve over looked. It seems a though you’ve thoroughly researched what it would take to make this trek. Kudos to you. You’ve shown that you have the traits and intelligence it takes to become the captain of your own vessel. Is there a video showing what your life was like prior to this paradigm shift altering the trajectory of where you were and where you are currently? Because your send off shows, that you have a nice support group/friends back home. I wonder if they were flummoxed by this decision to sail the seven seas. I’ve done that through my life, but not in such a major way. Staying true to one’s self isn’t always easy or understood. Ciao.

It's good to see and remember where you came from, and what you left behind to embark on your new life.

Really excited about catching up on your videos. My wife and I hope to do the same thing in the summer of 2015. We want to take our kiddos around the world while they are still young.

I have to say your English is very impressive. I know very few Germans who are as fluent as that.

Lots of them were from the Kreuzer Abteilung and I can only recommend them. I cannot post a link, but you find them at kreuzer "minus" abteilung "dot" org and then got to "Ausbildung"
But I also went to two different sailing schools for the Long Range Sertificate e.g. or for some classes on weather, navigation, radar and stuff like that

Yes, I'd like to take Wilderness Medicine. Its not quite the same, but , then again, it might be. A lot of folks , when in the wilderness, don't think to take a radio of that affording a "spot" might be a life saving thing to do. So, finding a boat so far away is a good thing ? Not sure how this came about. Mike

The preparation courses that you took in Germany, were they all part of one course with one organization or did you find them piece by piece?
