So so glad I get to call this one of my home parks. I agree, the first drop on wildfire on the side of the hill is amazing, couldn’t ask for a better location for the coaster

been going to this park since i was a kid. the cave is amazing, i was able to take a tour last summer.
Silver Dollar City is my favorite park. I love that you actually talk about Marvel Cave. The food totally IS good as shit. Everytime. F- that train ride. The flooded mine shooting gallery is super cool. Planning to go with some friends later in the year. Hopefully we'll land around fall so my friends can all see the Ozark hillsides. They're epic. I love the channel. You've showed me so many other great places I have to go check out for myself.

This SDC was a staple of my childhood. We would ride the lost river (RIP, recently replaced) all day repeatedly especially in september. Buzz saw falls was a huge old wooden coaster and they replaced it with the American plunge. Glad to see that the famous wildfire is still kicking it. Wildfire might seem tame to you, but growing up, it was all the rage. It might be paltry compared to modern coasters but it is the definition of a classic.
I wish I could say the same thing today. Horrible ops because of Corona

I went to this park over 20 years ago. At that time Fire in the Hole and the Log F;ume were the big thrill rides. If I ever visit my family down there again. I gotta go.

Did you notice any of the coasters and buildings built from the logs from the surrounding area? The theme park, itself, lol is built a small portion from some area supplies.

Powder keg here was my first rollercoaster ever and I didn't even focus on the ride because i was too scared about my crocks coming off. Also you should go during Christmas time the lights are insane.

We all know Ceider point has the best ride set up with all the bigger rides had World Records like 3 were the highest coster when they opened

Raptor is a great coaster
Don’t forget Val raven, GateKeeper, Rougerou, Gemini, Wicked Twister, and the old Blue Streak.
And don’t get me started on Steel Vengeance same people who restored OutLaw run did this Biggest and Fastest Wooden roller coaster.
You can’t beet cider point down in Ohio.
I’m late but the parks closest to me are Frontier City in Oklahoma and/or Magic Springs in Arkansas... I’ve been to SDC quite a few times and I rlly wish I lived closer lol
