Shivering Timbers is like wooden Magnum XL. If you're front car, going over that first hill with nothing but a lap bar, it's terrifying seeing just how high the drop actually is. They say its only 55mph but it feels closer to 65 and the car is going so fast down the hill the whole train literally shakes. Probably the most aptly-named coaster and its a gem.
yea i think airtime hills are way more fun than laterals and turns. now i want to kind of go to Michigans Adventure to ride it now! Also i never got why food lines at amusement parks took so damn long!! people get food faster at some sit down restaurants than they do at amusement park food stand lines!
2023 park update from a local: Shivering Timbers and Wolverine Wildcat both received some significant track work in the off season. The first valley and camelback on ST is new wood and pothole free! I had the best ride on it ever last week at Timbers Fest. It felt like I was standing up for most of the ride! As everyone knows, Wolverine Wildcat got Titan Track on the first drop last year. But now everything between the first and second turnaround is brand new wood! That section honestly reminds me of Mystic Timbers now. There is actual ejector in the front row and good floater for all. The last lap still runs a bit rough but it's a really good ride now. Right up there with classics like Blue Streak or Racer. I'm not sure who did the track work but it's so good I have to guess Gravity Group. Given the quality of the work and how much other re tracking they have been doing for Cedar Fair in Ohio and Virginia. Side note for the +1 king... Or anyone driving on I-94 on their way to ride Shivering Timbers: Another hamPster wheel opened last summer right across the street from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport at an FEC called Airway😂
Me and my friends came up with the term "stack train ops" for Mad Mouse😅 and oh god that Hamster Wheel making screeching noises sounds like nails on a chalkboard🤣🤣
as a Michigander, yes Shivering Timber is by far my fav. The park is really worth it for that and just that for us its the closest, plus the water park, but damn I'm sad that cedar fair cancelled all the plans that had originally been in place for the parks expansion. It could've been so much cooler.
They were there the week before Cedar Fair sent off the damaged train to PTC after a minor human-error-caused collision at the station house. After that, MA has only run one train; until the engineers are done with the full investigation and an ops plan has been approved to avoid this from possibly happening again, it'll be one train ops on Shivering Timbers.

Been waiting for this ever since your Shivering Timbers video! Glad you made it to my home park.
Heading here next week! Hoping everything will be open since its so far out of the way.
You gotta do a video at Great Escape this summer. That would be insane. You could get hydrated too.
It is like wooden Magnum XL200, down to the random occasional roughness and headache but it's worth it
12:46 So this is where Serial Thriller ended up. It still has a place in my heart.
yea i think airtime hills are way more fun than laterals and turns. now i want to kind of go to Michigans Adventure to ride it now!
Also i never got why food lines at amusement parks took so damn long!! people get food faster at some sit down restaurants than they do at amusement park food stand lines!
I love the bag just rolling around in the back of the car lol
lmfao at mclovin defending the SBF as both cheaper and with more cycles than the one in wisconsin, really redeems it lol!
Uncle Nate is my hero
I loved riding the Wildcat when I was younger and still terrified of heights this one was one I could handle
2023 park update from a local:
Shivering Timbers and Wolverine Wildcat both received some significant track work in the off season.
Or anyone driving on I-94 on their way to ride Shivering Timbers:
Another hamPster wheel opened last summer right across the street from the Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport at an FEC called Airway😂
Me and my friends came up with the term "stack train ops" for Mad Mouse😅 and oh god that Hamster Wheel making screeching noises sounds like nails on a chalkboard🤣🤣
ALL HAIL SHIVERING TIMBERS, YES
Wolverine Wildcat is my favorite coaster at Michigan's Adventure.
as a Michigander, yes Shivering Timber is by far my fav. The park is really worth it for that and just that for us its the closest, plus the water park, but damn I'm sad that cedar fair cancelled all the plans that had originally been in place for the parks expansion. It could've been so much cooler.
On a dead day I rode Corkscrew 5 times in a row. That was awesome.
you got insanely lucky. shivering timbers has ran 1 train basically all season. besides the day you went apparently! great video
I rode that SLC when it lived at Geauga Lake. I thought it was fun
8:17 best edit ever i swear XD
Its funny seeing 25 to 30 year old guys riding kittie credits haha
I actually live 20-30 minutes south of MA. need to make it out next summer!
Norton Shores - Fruitport area?
So, if I rode woodstock when it was big dipper, and I rode it again now, could I count it as a new credit?
Ok, this might be a strange question but, Where did that Break Run sound come from? I notice it in all of your videos.
It’s nice seeing my fav coaster yt going to my home park. Next time you guys need to go to the water park. Don’t buy the water park ticket though, they don’t have people checking you for tickets at the water park
Bruh uncle nate riding zachs zoomer had me howling
I starting watching for the Disney coaster! Didn't know you went to my state for shivering timbers. Not my favorite ride here. The corkshrew is my favorite
the voyage is the crapitdy group version of shivering timbers
That blue train must have just been put back in service. When Jason and I went to the PTC shop in PA, they had that train in there being worked on.
Nevermind just realized this was from before the accident. My bad
Happy birthday to my man Ryan!!🥳🥳
*Buzz bar down on Zachs Zoomer*
Uncle Nate: Initiating Thoosie Stance
I can’t believe McLovin rode the Miner Mike at my local Haunted Trails. They won’t even let me on it anymore.
To be fair, it's probably the worst Miner Mike in existence.
They are probably like why does this guy want to go on this is he like 5!
2:12 "We have X2 at home"
X2 at home:
Happy birthday to the man, the myth, the idiot: (drumroll...) Ryan!
I was at chesinton and was super fun and it was not that many train were out of use
Glad you guys had fun at my home park 😏
I got nearly concussed and vomited after riding serial thriller at Geagua Lake when I was 11 due to head-bang and refused to ride again. Seeing it still alive gives me the chills. Will ride again though (20 years later.)
Best looking SLC is Blue Tornado in Gardaland. It also has the extra helix.
