I’m glad that you called them out. There’s been a lot of bad service going under the disguise of Covid and pandemic excuses but the reality is that big companies are just cutting corners or they aren’t admitting that they are short staffed and still charging us full price. I had a very similar experience at the Disney grand California hotel and I am putting up that video within a week. It’s just outrageous. Thank you for sharing
Always over worked and they prefer quantity over quality (worked here for over 7 years as housekeeping) if we had more time than 20 minutes to clean and detail ,things would look different..I can't count the times I didn't take my lunch just to detail a room for 10 more min so it wouldn't look like that... the sad truth
I used to go to Vegas 3 times per year until about 3 years ago when I saw how much Vegas hiked up prices for nearly everything. They now charge for room service delivery person before tipping plus a surcharge for delivery. $65 for a hamburger, fries and small bottle coke is ridiculous. Vegas tried getting too much from us and now it's over. Sportsbetting becoming legal in other states and that wealth will move to build better resorts in other states. Done with the West Coast mentality of high taxes and exorbitant nonsense fees
you should try doing vegas in a way that fits your budget. It usually works out fine that way. There are many options. Ive never been to a hotel where they "charge for room service delivery person" nor have I stepped foot in a restaurant that serves $65 happy meals.
We have been watching this hotel go down for a few years. We stopped staying there. The last time we were there it was dirty (as outlined in this video) and smelled so bad of Marijuana in the halls (non smoking) that I actually started feeling nauseated. For such a pretty property it's sad to see it go down. For those that think this is pandemic related and they don't have the staff to keep a high level of service...our unfortunate experience was Pre-Covid.
We stayed at the Mirage last Sept/Oct and we were completely satisfied with the cleanliness and excellent condition of the hotel and room! This experience for you all at Aria and how it was handled is beyond unacceptable!
I just spent a week at palace station, it was a basic room, but it was in excellent condition, clean and very comfortable. If the basic rooms are that good, I would bet the premium rooms are awesome.
Actually, my husband and I have stayed in the Premium rooms at Palace Station and they were a joke. We saw food trays left in the hall for days with housekeeping vacuuming around them. The rooms were small, compared to other hotels and the service definitely subpar.
Wow such a shame. I worked at the Encore for 11 years. Retired two yrs ago and I can tell you he is absolutely correct. This would never ever be seen in any room at the Wynn or encore. People would be fired if any part of the property looked like this.
@Chucky Gold you are 100%correct. We all noticed changes that weren’t in the best interest of the business right after Mrs Wynn left. She was for the employees and they all loved her. That was why they cared so much for the place, because she took good care of the machine that is the employees. Then Steve ruled by fear and for a while kept things together but moral was always down. It’s a crazy business for sure.
OMG too funny. Your video was just interrupted with a flashy ad for Aria! Cutting back and forth between their quickie slick commercial and your video examples is priceless! LOL
That’s sad. I had a beautiful corner suite at Aria several years ago, and it was impeccable. Upkeep on these busy properties is critical to maintain that high dollar price point.
Aria used to be one of my favorites. I've stayed in Corner Suites many times, but over the years, it has just deteriorated. There is a reason Wynn renovates every 5 years or so. Staying at Wynn is always a pleasure. While Aria has replaced a lot of the electronics since it opened, the furniture is just getting dirtier and more worn out. My other favorite property is Cosmopolitan, and I'm very worried about what will happen now that MGM has purchased it.
Used to be fun going to Vegas. Lots of real stars like Elvis, Sinatra, Joan Rivers, and Liberace not the lounge lizards and third raters of today. Lots of bargains downtown--99 cent shrimp cocktails, $1.99 ham and eggs, $7.99 first class buffets, 2 dollar blackjack, etc.. Smaller casinos would offer these just to encourage you to come in and gamble. NO RESORT FEES. FREE PARKING AT CASINOS. Mom and pop casinos side by side with the big resorts. Today, the whole town has become a monument to insatiable greed--$35 breakfasts, ripoff room prices and scams, little real service, rude and surly people everywhere. But, I guess our country has been falling apart in recent years, so why shouldn't Vegas follow suit? Very sad!!
MGM was cutting staff before the pandemic and they ended up getting rid of staff on ALL positions during it. I had some coworkers who's parents worked at actual MGM for 20 years and was let go due to "restructuring". I think they were hoping they could use the pandemic to fire a bunch of people and hopefully hire new people for less but that doesn't seem to be working out and they're probably getting by by using a bunch of temp labor and trust me, you're almost better off just not using temp labor and just taking more time to get rooms done right with the staff you have but all these properties are about trying to take as much money from the customers as possible. They'll book a dirty room and just hope the guest won't care enough to complain.
The massive amount of money it takes to run a casino is prohibitive in economic and societal collapse. Las Vegas was already going down hill before the COVID. It's going to take a long time to recover.
A lot of the time when people complain about a scratch on the wall or a rust stain around the drain I think it's nitpicking and I wonder if their house is perfect. But that was pretty gross and if your paying $350 and up a night you are approaching Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons prices and the room should be perfect. I'm surprised they didn't contact you and say what can we do to make that video go away?
That is very sad. I remembered when they first opened I stayed with them and loved it. After seeing this makes my heart sad. You'd think during the strip shut down they'd update, clean and refresh the rooms! Like you said, WYNN would NEVER put up with this and have a fresh coat of paint on the dirty ceilings and walls within 5 minutes. But this is sad to see and MGM has gone down hill. We usually stay at Caesars Palace and loved our stays with them. If my room has an issue they always make it right with myself and my family. If I am going to pay $400 a night I want the room to be spotless, things hidden, no stains and dirt around. I want to walk into a fresh smelling room with fresh linens, and not have to worry. I've been there and it is not fun. Thank you for your video on Aria. I will not be back anytime soon. Plus, you got a new subscriber!
So disappointing. Have stayed there in the past and absolutely loved my stay. Totally unacceptable given how expensive this hotel is. Thank you for sharing.
We stayed in September at Aria and had the exact same experience! We switched rooms and both rooms were disgusting. We had them refund us. The whole property was run down. Very disappointing experience
Man I wish people like you would understand that there’s a labor shortage, because most people want to be don’t want to work anymore, or work from home. What can I say about these upcoming generations, there expecting to get money sitting down
They claim a certain standard, they charge for that standard, they must live up to that standard. Customers can't continue to pay more and expect less.
Wow this is ridiculous! I live in VEGAS and $400 per night? Who are they kidding? You are doing them a favor by showing this as if this doesn't make them get it together then nothing will! GOOD JOB!
This is so disappointing to see. Thank you so much for the transparency. This has been my favorite hotel to stay at over the past 3+ years and now I will need to seriously reconsider and research other hotels to stay at next time I am back on the strip.
We stayed at the Aria in May of 2021…. Prior to that stay it was always a classy crowd… the May 2021 trip was a total 180….. totally different type of crowd now 🙄 if they continue to lower their prices it will fall apart
For a hotel that’s been considered one of the premier hotels in Las Vegas since it opened in 2009, that is really appalling. I would expect better cleanliness from a Motel 6. Hue could they just neglect their property like that? It was such a gorgeous hotel! I stayed at Bally’s this past July for $10 per night! Yes! $10 per night for four nights! My room was clean as a whistle! If housekeeping is adequate, the room should be spotless.
I reside in Henderson, and when I see Las Vegas, the air pollution there is really bad. That city is a yellow/greyish dingy haze above all the towering buildings; I used to live in San Diego and I called Garnet Ave the section that had all the bars, sin, etc Hell Town. I must say, that Las Vegas is the same; It is the City of Hell.
We just came home yesterday from our stay in Vegas and I can’t believe how Vegas has changed for the worst, absolutely a ripoff, food costs were ridiculous and the service had all but disappeared. I have to say our room at the Flamingo was an updated room with some flaws but it was comped for 5 days and we paid $190 for the stay, and I have to say it looks better than your room at the Aria. Overall Las Vegas is turning into a real Shit Hole.
Same experience here…. I was there 4 weeks ago and so more homeless people and crazy drugged out people on the strip than I have ever seen before….. sad….. I love Vegas, but it’s getting bad.
These things happen, in with the new out with the old it's always the same in Vegas. There's a few out there that still do a good job so switch to those properties and enjoy your self.
the system caters to slacking and dirt nowadays. Simply more money in letting your Hotel rundown. After 10 sell to another one of your LLCs. Both get nice slacker incentive tax cuts and the cycle repeats...bills sent to the taxpayers/national debt. Why bother with serious maintenance when the plan is to rebuild in 10 years? Simply operate as a fire department putting out the occasional fires called into the main desk...as my shower is dirty or the door doesn't close right. Same mentality runs most things these days...more money in NOT throwing criminals in jail for example. People would be shocked to learn the woman who ran down dozens, killing one lady about 5 years ago in front of the Paris has yet to have a trial. Five YEARS the legal parasites have sucked that case dry. Not about justice its about makin the green.
I blame corporate for the state of your room. I know engineers that work up and down the Strip, including Aria that are barely able to address these issues now. At the beginning of the pandemic the Aria laid off most of their engineering workforce, from about 120 to less than a dozen. So all the issues that were piling up beforehand were left neglected for at least a year. There's issues all over that property that they're barely getting around to. Corporate didn't want to spend the money at the time to address the problems in the building, which would have been the smart thing to do since the property was empty, but the bean counters had other ideas instead. The best way to hurt MGM and businesses like them is don't spend your money there. Vote with your wallet. I'm curious if you two have stayed at the new Resorts World yet. They're currently have massive staffing issues. I'd be curious to see how bad the service is from an outside perspective.
We've had great experiences with MGM properties in the past, and even recently. This one was a bit of an outlier. We stayed at Resorts World for one night over grand opening weekend and had no issues with service, although the property still wasn't fully complete at that time. Thanks for watching!
All of this. They got a shi* ton of government money to pay staff and make up for lost revenue then promptly let go of the majority of staff. You can only get unemployment for so long. I got it for under four months then cut off while we were still in shutdown. I too, live in a tourist area. Where did they think employees were going to go? We all have bills to pay and food to eat. They waited too long and lost the best help. Now, there's not enough good workers left. This is awful.
@@lennybrewster4673 and told to do simple towel changes and sheet swaps. Beyond that don't bother. Any issues will be handled as the calls come downstairs.
Thanks for the thoughtful review. I lived in Vegas about 14 years, been to city center many times. I really believe during the severe lockdowns the properties created problems by lowering rack rates. Looks like they need to make some corrections.
Shocking to see Aria, one of the higher end luxury hotel in such terrible conditions. Thanks for giving us all heads-up before we booked on our next Las Vegas vacation.
MGM Park was spotless when I stayed there right before covid started. Shocked at how bad Aria was in this video. I know folks who stayed there in the past and they all had great things to say.
@@ShowMeVegas I would put a stop to credit card charge and tell CC i didnt get what I paid for.. Let Aria call me to work out proper adjustments for crappy product.
Sad. I remember back in the early 2000s when we'd stay exclusively at Bellagio we'd see the models of City Center, actually considered buying a condo there. Then over the years we watched it all get built and just thought it was gorgeous. By the time Aria was completed we were exclusively at Wynn/Encore but booked a room there with friends from out of town. I thought it was an really good place but not up to Bellagio and nowhere near Wynn. Seeing this and I'll stick to Wynn
I was on the opening team of Aria I worked as an usher when they had a theater In between changing shows in 2012, I worked as a room inspector for a few weeks The rooms were fairly clean then. So sad to see how it has gone downhill big time. Saw the rooms before they opened. 500 a night is ridiculous, even for the weekend. Thanks for posting this.
We saw Zarkana there when it was still in production! I understand conferences are big money makers, but the property misses that theater. Thanks for watching!
We just stayed at the Aria over New Years and did not see any of these issues. We stayed in the Tower Suites and the room was very nice as always. The TV needed to be rebutted but they sent up an engineer promptly and it was taken care of. We have been staying at the Aria devotedly for the past 5 years. We did notice a drop in quality when they re-opened after closing for COVID but we attributed that to staffing issues (which everyone is having). We would and will definitely stay at the Aria again in the future.
Gotta say my daughter got married in February and booked everyone at the Flamingo. While I wasn't expecting too much, I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was for the price. :)
FLAMINGO IS CRAP!! - See some of my comments on You Tube as well as YELP. My stay there recently was TERRIBLE and ELI the night manager should be FIRED!! Everyone can have different experiences - just sharing mine.
@@MrGlobaldave1 Wow well that was a lot at one time including the screaming...lol! You seem pretty angry about the Flamingo Hotel. Clearly, I had a much better experience than you did. Have a good week! 😊
@@suzyq8777 My parents stayed there back in 2017. Went home and had a $5000 bed bug problem at their house to deal with. They had to fumigate the whole place. the exterminators found the source...bugs in their luggage.
@@johndough23 that stinks. I’m always worried about bedbugs when I stay at a hotel. Unfortunately even higher end places have had their share of dealing with the little critters. I’ve even heard about a breakout at the Bellagio about 5 or 6 years back.
Wow!! We were there last month!! Our floor and room looked good. But we did notice the elevators weren't cleaned as much as before. You're not being uppity at all! Wow! We would be very upset! Thanks for sharing this.
The problem with these hotels is that the cost to maintain is just so insane that it’s a house of cards if something like a pandemic hits: half the revenue from rooms (1/2 vacant), 1/4 or the income from casino, half the workers/service people, and they have to keep charging lower nightly fees to attract customers. It’s a nightmare.
Then you lower your rates and attract horrible clientel who trash your room and the cost to renovate is enourmous. These mega hotels are a killer on a corporations wallet. Dont know how long they are going to be able to sustain them.
I'm staying in the Aria right now writing this comment 4/10/23. My experience was fantastic. The room is immaculate and the service is awesome. I'll definitely be back. We have been here for 4 nights. I noticed that your video was a year ago. It looks like all your gripes were addressed.
The video is nearly two years old. We’ve also been back and things were fine, but just because this video only represents a point in time doesn’t make it irrelevant.
I stayed at Aria last spring, there was a little wear showing but I still enjoyed the stay. Hopefully this Covid stuff passes and they get back on track.
New sub here. That’s really disappointing they didn’t reach out to y’all about that. My wife and I used to stay at Aria but we didn’t like how long it was to walk to the other casinos in the vicinity so we now stay at The Cosmopolitan. We love the rooms and are always very clean they also have balconies, which is a nice perk. Good luck on your next trip to the casino!!
I am an Uber driver here in Vegas and this video is very helpful. These Hotels such as Aria and the Cosmo are aiming at a younger crowd and this is what is to be expected because all these young people want to do is party 🎊.
From what we’ve been told, is that they are extremely understaffed. So the turn around for rooms is rushed. We had the same experience at the Aria and Vdara. Both building are looking alittle worn out. Light bulbs blown out, similar damage like you showed on your video. I try to help out and report certain things when we find it, we’ve also had to change rooms too. Glad I wasn’t the only person that noticed the change over the past two years. Thanks for sharing.
We've stayed at both the Aria and its sister property Vdara. Like you, we used to love them both - beautiful properties that were worth the premium. However, our stay last year at Vdara was terrible. Our suites were clean, but did show some signs of aging (e.g. minor stains in the carpet & furniture, chips in the paint and moulding, etc.) that I would expect to be corrected at a luxury property. But, not nearly as gross as what you found at the Aria. The suite above ours was throwing an extremely loud party until 5:00 in the morning, with a lot of yelling, banging, music, and scraping noises across the floor (like they were moving furniture around). We called the front desk 3 times to complain, and I finally had to go down to the lobby at 3:30 in the morning to complain to the Manager on duty face-to-face. She said she'd get it taken care of, didn't offer any compensation for our trouble, and didn't follow-up to stop the problem. It finally burned itself out almost 2 hours later. Needless to say, the service was abysmal. We were exhausted the next day, and ended-up losing most of it trying to catch-up on sleep. When I was sent the post-stay customer satisfaction survey I provided a thorough read-out of everything, along with specific names of staff members, and heard nothing in response. So...yeah, we'll stay elsewhere from now on.
My girlfriend and I just went to Vegas in September. We stayed at the Tropicana because we found a deal through Spirit Air on the room. Once we got to the hotel at about 11:30 pm the didn’t see our reservation because they said it was third party. I had to pay out of pocket again there at the main desk till in the morning they could call and figure it out. The room wasn’t what we reserved but it was acceptable. The following day the reservation was straightened out but we had to move rooms. The new room was a villa in the rear of the hotel. We did go from the 17th floor to the 2nd floor which wasn’t bad either. What was bad was the view. The dumpsters and parking garage right outside our window wasn’t what I pictured from the brochure. Overall Vegas sucks and I’ll definitely plan different next trip. $60 for a house breakfast for 2 is also the new norm.
Im finally getting comps through Mlife and Aria was definitely on my radar of places to stay but after this video, I think I'm good. Way better places to stay. Thanks for this video.
During the pandemic we visited The Aria several times; in fact, we were back and forth between them and The Bellagio - so I will say this: The Aria was usually about 20% occupied - I know this because I asked. They were hurting, as a result they opened the doors to all and everyone. As a result, the clientele for approx 9 months was about as bad as bad gets - you can imagine. They comped rooms for people who had never had rooms comped before. It was bad. You could walk down the halls and smell weed, drug deals were done in hallways, guys were walking on the casino floor in robes, etc. Crime spiked. It was terrible. We made a commitment not to return The Aria.
Lol, like a crime scene investigation, and that music you added, brutal, I guess Covid wrecked Vegas and they can't afford cleaning maids anymore. That's a shame because Vegas has been fun for me over the years, memories...wicked spoon buffet (bone marrow (!) and mimosas, yum), taking photos with showgirls during the dancing water show, David Copperfield reading my mind and Mac King instantly popping out all the aces from a just examined and shuffled deck, crazy great soup and cookies at Earl of sandwich (just $10), outrageous creative slot games like Little Miss Red or Sharknado, catching a playing of the film Midsommer at the Palms, crazy great mushroom swiss burger at Fuddruckers at Orleans (just $10), catching a basketball game at UNLV, a rodeo competition at South point, meeting cool people from all around the world on vacation or at conventions like CES and NAB, from England, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Korea, Japan, Australia; boating and swimming at Lake Mead, the most gorgeous sunsets and sunrises you will ever see as there are no forests to block your view, the orange of the sun above the dark mountain line like a rothko painting...that was all in ONE weekend. O did ya notice I'm a big long time Vegas fan?
Aria has always been our go to property. We stayed there in May for 4 days and it was already going downhill then. I chalked it up to post pandemic issues like staffing & supplies so I figured give it a few months & they'll have things back in order. Guess not as the Aria apparently has officially crossed the line into s**t hole. Competition for The Luxor, I guess. Just last week we stayed 2 nights at The Bellagio and everything was near perfect. I don't understand why MGM favors some of their properties over others for general upkeep. Thanks for the video.
I have been going to Vegas for 30 years. I have been to Vegas 11 times since they reopened. I can tell you with out question the last 2 years places like the Aria have been inundated with people who never use to go to Vegas. They have a pocket full of stimulus money and the rooms were so cheap it attracted people who usually would not be there. The older people and the international crowds were non existent. What you had was trash driving up from LA. The rooms now are much more expensive and I was there last month. The people are different now but the place is still a mess.
We’ve been 8 times since Vegas reopened as well, and yes, there is a lot of truth to what you said. The crowd is largely back to normal but the damage that was done there for awhile will take a long time for them to “undo”.
I just went in August and all was well however I also went in April and they are having a hard time catching up on maintenance from quarantine. Everything I needed fixed they took care of it. This is my fav place too so it’s hard to see!
The sad thing is they could have kept the maintenance staff on board during the shut down and completely caught up on all of the deferred maintenance. Doesn’t seem like that happened. Thanks for watching!
Everything you're saying is true except who you're essentially blaming. Guest room attendants (GRAs) (aka housekeeping) are not responsable for those damages. The utility and engineering facility departments are the ones responsible. Housekeepers only have to report damages to their supervisors, who then report it to the utility and facility departments.
The wallpaper would have come clean with a damp rag, and we know because we tried, so that’s easily on housekeeping. The ceiling is the responsibility of engineering. The filthy bathroom drawer handles, the unreal amount of dusty, and the disgusting white handprints on everything are absolutely the responsibility of housekeeping. Thanks for watching!
Whoa. This is heart-wrenching. We stayed at Aria a few years ago and it was spotless, the attention to detail was worthy of being on The Strip. You guys are not being snobby at all. This is WAY below the standards of 4/5 star hotel.
I am also done with Aria. I've been a regular there since 2012. My last stay in October 2021, was my last stay. Room was horrendous and the service was worse when I complained about my dirty, malfunctioning and flooded room. Very disappointing.
Just stayed at Luxor and the room definitely needed maintenance. The hotels are cutting back on cleaning, maintenance and many people staying in Las Vegas are a bit rough. But I made this clear to Luxor and previously to Stratosphere.
We were just at the Aria in Sept 2021 and loved it. Didn't see any problems and were completely happy with it. Now, we stayed in the wellness room/floor so it may get a different clientele there. I would definitely stay there again, but we do like to try out new hotels every time we go there. Thanks for the video, but I'm glad we didn't see this before we went. VEGAS ROCKS!!!!
We stayed at Aria in August and the room was fine. The shocking part to me was half of the restaurants were closed. We probably won't stay there again.
I had a similar issue on the last visit at my favorite place across the way Vdara. The ac went out on day one, day two the water was off. The couch was completely worn down. It was the middle of the week and the lobby was full of loud people just hanging out. So disappointed because I absolutely loved the Vdara since my first stay in 2016. Recommended it to everyone I knew up until my last visit in June for my girlfriends birthday. I opted out when she asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday in September, went to Yosemite instead. Best decision ever! I’ll be taking an extended delay for Vegas vacations until further notice.😂
I stayed at the Main Street Station for FOUR nights in 2018 for a TOTAL of ~$220. (No resort fees at that point.) While the furniture and decor isn't as modern and fancy as the Aria, but it was in FAR better shape than what you showed in the video, and the place was spotless. I'm heading back in a couple weeks and staying at Bally's and Luxor. Hopefully they will look better than Aria. Yike.
We stayed 5 days at TI and our experience was very similar. It will be a looong time before we even go near Vegas again. We had to wait in a line of about 10 customers for an hour to get checked in because they only had 1 window open. Our suite, despite being recently redone, had very visible, dark footprints in the hot tub and black mold in the new shower grout. The escalator from the parking garage never worked the entire time so we had to use the elevator next to it, except the elevator was sooo slow (despite only being a 2 -floor unit) many people gave up on it and assumed it was broken as well. My wife is disabled so using the stairs wasn't an option. Oh, and one evening, all the elevators on our side of the hotel quit working for several hours. That almost turned into a mob scene in thanks partly to a rather rude security guard who was being a jerk. The food almost everywhere was subpar and ridiculously expensive, even fast food. Restaurants would be open or closed at odd times, and frequently would be out of food items or alcohol. Very odd given there is a liquor store on every corner and sold in every CVS. One night we ate out of the CVS pharmacy after being too tired and giving up trying to find a place close by. The ONLY place we loved was Margaritaville, although they were out of liquor for a hurricane at the time, the food, fun staff and atmosphere made up for it. Furthermore, almost NO ONE was winning. The games everywhere seemed to be super tight and we never heard anyone get excited in any of the casinos we visited. Cirque Soleil was amazing and was perhaps the one bright spot other than Margaritaville. We have been to several shows and have always been wowed. This time we went and saw the Beatles, I don't particularly care for the Beatles myself, but this was for my wife. I have to admit, we both loved it! It is spendy, but if you can swing it, I highly recommend going to one of these shows. Tried to go down to Fremont street one evening at dusk, but there was so much homeless, drug use and aggressive panhandling we turned around and went back to TI. We just didn't feel safe being an older couple with cash in that part of town.
I tell people in my hometown how run-down the Strip has become and they don't believe me. They haven't been to Vegas in several years at least, and I was there in November- but they don't believe me.
I wouldn't be happy if my room looked like this at Excalibur, let alone Aria. You aren't the only channel that has had these kind of issues at this property either. It's a very bad look for them to get this kind of negative attention.
sadly over the last year and a half the "higher priced" resorts like Bellagio, and Aria have had their prices reduced as they were desperate for business after the shutdowns. the amount of trash people staying there who normally wouldn't stay there was outrageous.
Totally shocked Aria is in such a state of neglect. I would've called my credit card & bank accounts to demand refund if Aria refused to allow me to cancel reservation..
I live in this stupid town. With the casinos it's all about the bottom line.. Profit, Profit, Profit ! ! ! I'd like to see all these casinos fold up and go away.
Wow. What an eye opener. You are actually doing the public a big favor when you post this. Unfortunately the bean counters have taken over Vegas and try to nickel and dime you to death. Repairing and refinishing hotel rooms costs money that the bean counters believe people won't pay attention to. I can sense your disappointment. I will be staying at the Wynn in a couple of weeks. I'm glad to hear you had a good room at the Encore.
We appreciate the kind words. Videos like this are controversial and we hesitated to make it for fear of it looking like just sour grapes. Thanks for watching!
I use to love the Aria and i recently went back and stayed in a sky suite. DISGUSTING! Hair on the floor, scuff marks on the wall, dust everywhere, white mystery stuff on the sides of the bed, stains on the carpet! It was BAD and the guest area carpet was nasty. I was so shocked at how bad the hotel was this time. I just stayed at their sister hotel, Vdara and that was slightly better. Still lots of dust in the room and furniture was old and nasty looking. The gave us $100 comps for the inconvenience. I will not be back to either hotel. I am going to try Resorts World and hope for the best next year! Stay away from these hotels, they take your money and don't fulfill anything they promise.
Certainly in need of a remodel, that’s for sure. Resorts World is nice, but it’s expensive for sure. We have a video on the channel from our stay in one of the Resorts World Hilton rooms, be sure and check it out. Thanks for watching!
I stayed at the Elara, which is across the strip from the Aria, and it was pristine. It was not as good as it was in 2018 when I last stayed there, but due to the fact that it is a Hilton timeshare, and the owners (like myself) have to pay yearly maintenance fees, the property was able to maintain a decent amount of its regular upkeep. But still, Vegas did not feel the same as far as safety as it used to feel.
WOW .. I payed tons of money to stay at Palazzo with my girl 2 months ago now the room was phenomenal and view but after watching this i feel wayyy better about the 3 day 1k i dropped on the room ! Thanks
We had the same thing happen on our 4th stay at Aria September 2020. The room was filthy, rude staff and issues with guests. We thought about getting a different room but we were told they were booked. We completed a survey and did not receive a response.
I went in sept this year and the room I got smelled like freshly smoked cigarettes and I got another room but their keyless card system wouldn’t work and you had to walk all the way back to the main lobby to essentially get a physical key because no one over the phone can fix it and everyone was complaining about this in the elevator. Hold times on the phone we’re greater than 30 min each time I called. This place is out of control and I’ve been staying there since they opened 10 years ago. What a difference a decade has made. This place is a mess and I’ve also lost gambling here 4 years in a row. I’ll never stay or play there again.
We had the same issue with the keycard. When they gave us a new room the room number updated in our app but it wouldn't let us onto the new floor. Thanks for watching!
Stayed at Aria last month. Was told the room we original booked was closed as the entire floor was being renovated. Ended up on 4th floor. Mini fridge didn't work, wet bar wasn't stocked, living room tablet didn't work, living room TV had trouble picking up channels, and baseboards were filthy af. Mobile check in didn't work at all either, let alone $600+ a night for corner suite and that's what we got.
Glad they are getting called out. Stayed there a few years ago and it was pretty nice but stayed there earlier this year and it was terrible. Room was dirty and falling apart, and the service was awful. We were drunk and playing slots at like 3am, and my friend really needed water so we pressed the service button and a MANAGER said that it was not her job to get us water and that this side of the casino did not have staff. So basically, getting us some water was out of her job description so we were out of luck. The NERVE to call themselves a five star resort.
Stayed there three times, latest this past June on the 39th floor. In the three times, I've never had a problem with the room, and it was always the way it's supposed to look. I'm still considering going back to the Aria for CES in January, waiting for MLife to drop prices a little more before booking. Also, with MLife, never spend that much a night, this past June was $215 for three nights, $40 in Freeplay and $50 resort credit.
Im so glad I saw this.I havent made it to Vegas yet but I would have strongly considered staying there not now! It looks like no one has cleaned or inspected anything since before 2020 Its shocking to know they charge what they do and let it look like that
At one point, I really wanted to stay here. I would say over 15 different trips to Vegas I have attempted to gamble at Aria at least 6 or 7 times to give it a fair chance. I can tell you, without a doubt, it is literally the tightest casino that I've ever played at not only in Vegas, but probably the entire world... and I have literally played casinos all over the world. Not once have I ever done well there or even remotely close to doing well. I get it's a casino and their job is to make money but it was out of control obvious. Secondly, a few years ago, I was in line at the buffet at aria. I literally watched a rat fall from a light fixture out the ceiling and run around the floor right in front of the buffet. Multiple employees walked right past and watched it and did absolutely nothing. People were running around and screaming. So yeah, I'll pass.
@@ShowMeVegas that's a fact. Before my mother passed away, her and my dad went there on two different occasions. Each time they lost an average 9 to $10,000 and received no kickback at all with any of the gambling. Not one single hit.
Those big hotels are loud too. The hallway noise echoes into the rooms. The Flamingo, Silver Sevens and El Cortez are the best for the value. It's not the size of the hotel in Vegas but the size of the Vegas in the hotel.
We stayed in a Hilton room at Resorts World and while it was nice, it was VERY small and we didn't think the value was there. Hopefully prices will regulate after the "new" wears off, because we'd love to return. Thanks for watching!
I've been staying at Aria 6-7 times a year since 2013 and will continue to do so. I was just there last month and saw nothing like the conditions in this video but then again I'm always on the 20th or higher floor.

Funny thing is that I work there as a porter in the casino and by the way things are handled there I wouldn’t be surprised if the rooms were horrible sorry for the poor service and bad experience
House keeping is usually given 40 minutes for a check out and 20 minutes for a stay over. That looked like the downhill slide. We lived there for 9 years, my wife was a desk supervisor. In Calif at Yosemite she was a maid. She said the 40/20 has always been the norm.
When corporations own hotel/casinos, there’s no pride of ownership. They only care about profits. We need individual owners back in Las Vegas.
We need people like Sam “Ace” Rothstein to run casinos.
Vegas was better when it was run by the Mob.
Go horns 🤘
Triple zero roulette and 3:2 blackjack nowhere
West coast mentality? Wait til this guy hears about New York!
Thanks for watching!
We stayed at the Mirage also in May this year and thought the room was very clean and in great condition and that hotel is decades older than Aria.
Mirage is the best quality for the buck. Hands down. And I always win there.
Man I booked a 3 night stay in the mirage for the 1st time and I loved my suite. Conjoined rooms for half the price
There has been talk of Mirage being torn down & Hard Rock putting in a guitar shaped hotel/casino
Thanks! I was going to go to the Aria in Feb! You just saved me 300 + a night. For rooms like that, I'll book at the Excalibur for 30 a night!

@ Rich Smart You might want to check out a video on @Travel Ruby about the Excalibur they reviewed the hotel there and it wasn’t that good either. FYI
@Bowling Circus yes I do believe that has much to do with it.
The projects MUCH! 🤢🤢🤢🤢
Yep. It's beyond overdue for a remodel. Thanks for watching!
M
Aria used to be one of my favorites. I've stayed in Corner Suites many times, but over the years, it has just deteriorated. There is a reason Wynn renovates every 5 years or so. Staying at Wynn is always a pleasure. While Aria has replaced a lot of the electronics since it opened, the furniture is just getting dirtier and more worn out. My other favorite property is Cosmopolitan, and I'm very worried about what will happen now that MGM has purchased it.
Agree on pretty much all points. Thanks for watching!
Mgm has not purchased it. Mgm will be running the operations but they do not own the property.
I’m done with mlife period. This is what happens when corporate takes over. Very sad. Wynn is my new home
@@bobbyz414CML That's even worse, unless the owner makes regular inspections, budgeting enough money to keep the property in pristine condition.
Cosmo will soon become a dumpster fire comparable to Motel 6.

@@RiggedforAction Why would you wish that on me, Xela?
@@keldonmcfarland2969 no, they're fine
A lot of the time when people complain about a scratch on the wall or a rust stain around the drain I think it's nitpicking and I wonder if their house is perfect. But that was pretty gross and if your paying $350 and up a night you are approaching Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons prices and the room should be perfect. I'm surprised they didn't contact you and say what can we do to make that video go away?
That is so sad. It shows
MGM screws up every hotel they buy !
Glad to see this! As much as they charge a night, that’s ridiculous!
Exactly!

This is so disappointing to see. Thank you so much for the transparency. This has been my favorite hotel to stay at over the past 3+ years and now I will need to seriously reconsider and research other hotels to stay at next time I am back on the strip.
Thanks for watching! As we said, Aria was our favorite for a very long time. Understandably this left a bad taste in our mouths.

We stayed at the Aria in May of 2021…. Prior to that stay it was always a classy crowd… the May 2021 trip was a total 180….. totally different type of crowd now 🙄 if they continue to lower their prices it will fall apart
Yes that was the same crowd getting in brawls on the strip and everything else that goes with that. That's also partly why those rooms are so bad.
After Ballys was renovated that’s been my go to spot in Vegas. Right in the middle of the strip
Me too. Got a room for $10 per night in July! Clean as a whistle.
Stayed there in 2007 which was my first Vegas trip so always have that hotel in my heart

We've stayed at Bellagio a couple of times and Encore once. Both are among our favorites! Thanks for watching!
Ballys is the best value on the strip. The rooms were remodeled like 3 years ago

Everyone on this thread needs help. Having this strong of feelings over something so unimportant is odd
I’ve always heard people say Vegas is a cheap vacation , so this is no longer true ?
the system caters to slacking and dirt nowadays.

Vegas got a little carried away with the over building. I hate it!
Then you lower your rates and attract horrible clientel who trash your room and the cost to renovate is enourmous. These mega hotels are a killer on a corporations wallet. Dont know how long they are going to be able to sustain them.

I just stay at the Wynn. Never had a problem. The rooms are immaculate. The guest service is beyond great!

Pretty much all the hotels were that way in 2020 but it seems Aria did a far worse job staying on top of it. Thanks for watching!
Drug deals in the hallway? Really? SMH So the Aria has turned into The Wire now? Gotta love the coded language.
Have stayed at the Wynn. It is unparalleled in service and cleanliness.
Reminds me of Harrah’s. Their “new” remodeled rooms already looked like this after 1 year.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the information I really appreciate it. They need to be exposed it’s totally disgusting! 👍🏾
Laughed so hard at the drawers popping out. Love your channel. I subbed👍
Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching!
Blame the hotels. They dropped the rate and attracted the wrong crowds.
VEGAS ROCKS!!!!
could u use mobile key
@@LopsidedCircle I honestly don't know, they gave us the key card at check-in and I just used that the whole time.
We stayed at Aria in August and the room was fine. The shocking part to me was half of the restaurants were closed. We probably won't stay there again.
They have a phenomenal restaurant lineup when they're all open. Thanks for watching!
What do you expect when you have Brandon in charge and wanting closing everything
I’ll be taking an extended delay for Vegas vacations until further notice.😂
last time i went to Vdara was in 2016 & i noticed big changes things since my 1st 2012 dtay at VDARA,
I stayed at the Main Street Station for FOUR nights in 2018 for a TOTAL of ~$220. Yike.
better people involved. That is the PC way of saying what we all know it means.
We thought the same thing, and yes we’ve been seeing more and more of this about Aria on social media lately. Thanks for watching!
sadly over the last year and a half the "higher priced" resorts like Bellagio, and Aria have had their prices reduced as they were desperate for business after the shutdowns. the amount of trash people staying there who normally wouldn't stay there was outrageous.
The high pricing has returned but the quality hasn’t. Thanks for watching!
Agreed! It felt like at one point a great deal of people were there spending their stimulus checks.
100% agree
Totally shocked Aria is in such a state of neglect.
I would've called my credit card & bank accounts to demand refund if Aria refused to allow me to cancel reservation..
The Circus Circus management team appears to have taken over the Aria.
I live in this stupid town. With the casinos it's all about the bottom line.. Profit, Profit, Profit ! ! ! I'd like to see all these casinos fold up and go away.
Aren’t businesses typically in business to make money? Otherwise what would be the point?
Stayed there in June and had a very similar experience. Property looks tired and under kept.
@@ShowMeVegas BTW. Do you do video production for a living? Your videos are very well done, including the music and editing.
Thanks! Nah, just a new hobby. It’s quite a bit of fun though.
@@ShowMeVegas Big time compliments to you. Some of us wouldn't mind if you included more face time for your wife.
Loved your comment about the Wynn & Encore regarding the 5 star house keeping service haha 😂 Wynn is absolutely the best!
Sounds like standard operating procedure. Thanks for watching!
Planning our next trip and were strongly considering Aria. Not anymore! Thank you both for the incredibly helpful content!!! Cheers friends-
Thanks for watching! Don’t forget to SUB if you haven’t already!
@@ShowMeVegas same here.
The gambling is the tightest I’ve seen anywhere. And I’ve seen a lot of casinos all over the world.
Wynn sets the standard for excellence. Any where else is a crapshoot.
Encore was phenomenal when we stayed there, so we agree. Thanks for watching!
Totally agree. We also recently stayed at the Encore Boston…top notch.
+1 Wynn has been my #1 and only spot since it was built. Can't bring myself to even think of staying elsewhere
Wynn has an excellent pit and craps game too. :)
We didn’t pay that much, that was just an illustration of what Aria is charging the general public through normal bookings. Thanks for watching!
I love CES because they always have the AVN Awards the same week.
Funny watching Nerds and Porn actresses schmoozing.
Wow. Thanks we’re getting ready to book Aria. It was great for years this looks awful. Wynn sounds good thanks again 👍👍
Wynn is a massive upgrade over Aria right now. Thanks for watching!
Aria was amazing and is in my Top2 in Vegas behind Cosmo, I'd say they just had a bad experience
Goodness! The Aria has been my go-to since it was built.
I just stayed there for 4 nights and the place was spectacular, didn't see any of these issues. Great service, great room, great staff.
Im so glad I saw this.I havent made it to Vegas yet but I would have strongly considered staying there not now! It looks like no one has cleaned or inspected anything since before 2020 Its shocking to know they charge what they do and let it look like that
Some of this is COVID/staffing related for sure, but yeah there’s no excuse for the room to be dirty. Thanks for watching!
The Strat and Mirage are running specials right now. No resort fees.
We have gotten repeatedly killed in the casino at Aria as well. Definitely seems tighter than the rest. Thanks for watching!
@@ShowMeVegas that's a fact. Before my mother passed away, her and my dad went there on two different occasions. Each time they lost an average 9 to $10,000 and received no kickback at all with any of the gambling. Not one single hit.
Vegas probably has rats and roaches everywhere.
Just checked out Wednesday and my room was awesome! First time staying and had a great room.
Glad you enjoyed it. We loved it too until we started getting things like this. Thanks for watching!
Those big hotels are loud too. The hallway noise echoes into the rooms. The Flamingo, Silver Sevens and El Cortez are the best for the value. It's not the size of the hotel in Vegas but the size of the Vegas in the hotel.
Just returned from Vegas, had an awesome time downtown. Hadn't been downtown in years, the place Rocks. We may never stay on the strip again.
The new Hilton is beautiful. I will stay there again.
That’s believable, but there really is no excuse for any rooms to look like this, and much less the hallways. Thanks for watching!
Bizarre that the management was so bad to let the room look like that.
@@ShowMeVegas This is a bot or worker at a marketing/brand protection/reputation management co, same with Danno. Notice how they always put "will continue to stay here/ do so" regardless of what you say, or we will 'definitely be staying here again'. These guys really think regular people cant put two and two together.
I was just there this past weekend and had a great experience as always stayed on the 54th floor
Glad your stay was great, our stays at Aria used to be great as well until lately. Thanks for watching!
